Chapter 3: This awful family still wants money? They sell off all of their scumbag father's shares!

The air conditioning in the back seat of the taxi was set a bit too cold.

Lin Xingwan rolled down the window slightly, watching the bustling commercial district flying past on both sides of the street.

Who could have imagined that in just three short months, this bustling, traffic-filled area would turn into a living hell filled with corpses?

The phone in her pocket began to vibrate violently, and the word "Father" flashed on the screen.

Lin Xingwan curled the corners of her lips, her eyes filled with shards of ice, and she casually swiped to answer.

"Lin Xingwan! What on earth are you making a scene for!"

"Get over to the company immediately and sign the share transfer authorization form in your hands!"

"It's Lin Chuchu's birthday today. What's wrong with you, as the older sister, giving her your shares as a gift? The Lin family will ensure you're well-provided for in the future!"

Listen to that.

Such self-righteous, robber logic.

Taking the hard-earned lifeblood her own mother had bled for, just to curry favor with an illegitimate daughter born to a mistress.

Lin Xingwan didn't scream or retort hysterically like she had in her past life.

She lowered her eyelids, her voice soft, even carrying a hint of submissive trembling.

"Okay, I'll be there right away. Please don't be angry."

"Good, you know what's good for you! Get over here quickly!"

"Beep, beep, beep—" The call was abruptly disconnected.

Lin Xingwan took the phone away, the feigned weakness on her face vanishing instantly.

In its place was an indifference like looking at a dead person.

"Driver, please drive faster."

The driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror, startled by her sharp gaze, and silently floored the accelerator.

Lin Xingwan lowered her head and opened an encrypted number in her notes.

Jinghai Conglomerate.

This was the mortal enemy that Lin Group had been fighting in the business world for ten years, and also the giant with the most abundant capital in the entire Jing circle.

The call went through. After three rings, a capable female voice spoke up.

"Who is this?"

"Lin Xingwan, the eldest daughter of the first wife of Lin Group."

She got straight to the point, without any nonsense, her speaking speed as fast as a machine gun.

"I hold thirty percent of the absolute controlling interest in Lin Group, which can veto those old city renovation projects you've been eyeing."

The person on the other end was clearly stunned, their breathing noticeably heavier.

"Miss Lin, what do you mean by this?"

"Exactly what I said."

Lin Xingwan looked at the dazzling sun outside the window, her fingers lightly tapping the leather seat.

"Shares with a market value of 15 billion, I only want 12 billion, selling it all off."

"There is only one condition: within one hour, I want to see the full cash amount arrive in my account."

A gasp and the sound of a water glass being knocked over came from the other end of the line.

This was practically a golden pie falling from the sky, smashing right through the meeting table of the Jinghai Conglomerate!

"Miss Lin, are you joking? This amount of capital is too large, the process…"

"You only have forty minutes left to raise the money."

Lin Xingwan's tone was cold and hard, carrying an undeniable sense of oppression.

"Bring the electronic acquisition contract and come find me at the top floor meeting room of Lin Group."

"I won't wait past the deadline."

She hung up the phone efficiently and threw it back into her Hermès bag.

Twelve billion in cash was indeed an astronomical figure that could drive people crazy at this critical juncture.

But if the Jinghai Conglomerate didn't even have that kind of courage and liquidity, they wouldn't deserve to have pushed Lin Group to this point today.

Twenty minutes later, the taxi stopped downstairs at the Lin Group building.

Lin Xingwan pulled her red trench coat tight, stepped in her high heels, and strode into the magnificent lobby.

The path was unobstructed, and the elevator went straight to the top floor.

Pushing open the heavy double wooden doors, at the end of the long conference table, Chairman Lin Jianguo was smoking a cigar with a dark face.

Sitting next to him was the hypocritical stepmother Zhao Xuelan, as well as the company's chief legal counsel.

Seeing Lin Xingwan enter, Chairman Lin Jianguo forcefully crushed the cigar into the ashtray.

"You still know how to come? I thought you were going to fly to the heavens!"

He pointed at the thick document on the table, issuing orders like training a dog.

"Sign it quickly! Lin Chuchu is at home crying so hard she can't catch her breath; how could you be so heavy-handed?"

Zhao Xuelan quickly stood up and hypocritically brought over a cup of warm water.

"Oh, Old Lin, Wanwan was just confused for a moment."

She turned to look at Lin Xingwan, smiling like a kind white lotus.

"Wanwan, your sister is physically weak; wanting some shares is just for peace of mind."

"You are the eldest sister and will marry into the Gu family sooner or later. Won't the Lin family's assets all belong to you young people in the end?"

Disgusting.

Truly a nausea that seeped from the marrow of her bones.

Lin Xingwan didn't take the cup of water, but instead pulled out a chair and sat down.

She picked up the "Gratuitous Share Transfer Agreement" on the table and flipped through it casually.

In the transferee column, the words "Lin Chuchu" were printed clearly.

"After I sign, everything my mother left me will belong to her completely, right?"

Lin Xingwan lowered her head, her fingers tracing the edge of the paper.

Chairman Lin Jianguo impatiently pounded the table, his face full of disgust.

"What's yours, what's your mother's? This company is something I built with my own two hands!"

"I'm telling you to sign, so sign! Don't be ungrateful!"

"Fine, I'll sign."

Lin Xingwan pulled a fountain pen from her bag, her elbow seemingly accidentally knocking over the water cup beside her.

"Oops."

The warm water instantly spilled onto the document, smearing the handwriting into a mess.

"What are you good for! You can't even hold a cup steady!"

Chairman Lin Jianguo cursed angrily, and Zhao Xuelan also rushed to wipe it with a tissue.

Taking advantage of the moment while the two were flustered, Lin Xingwan calmly pulled out another pre-printed document from her bag.

Except for a slight difference in the font size in the transferee column, the layout was exactly the same as Chairman Lin Jianguo's.

She completed the swap with lightning speed.

"Isn't it just signing? I happen to have a spare printed copy in my bag."

Lin Xingwan flipped to the last page and signed her name with fluid ease.

She then pushed the document in front of Chairman Lin Jianguo.

"Dad, this amount of shares is too large. According to the company's articles of association, you need to stamp it with the official seal to waive the board's right of first refusal."

Chairman Lin Jianguo snorted coldly, looking at the page she had signed, a flash of triumphant joy in his eyes.

"At least you have some brains."

He didn't even look at the preceding pages, taking the official seal directly from the drawer.

Dipping it in the red ink pad, he stamped it heavily at the end of the document.

"Bang!"

The sound of the seal falling was extremely crisp in the meeting room.

Lin Xingwan looked at that bright red seal, the curve of her lips growing wider and wider, until she finally laughed out loud.

"What are you laughing at? You're acting crazy!"

Zhao Xuelan scolded, frowning.

Just then, the door to the meeting room was violently kicked open from the outside.

The receptionist ran in, looking panicked, stumbling as she entered.

"Chairman Lin! It's bad! The Jinghai Conglomerate's acquisition department has charged up with people, and security couldn't stop them at all!"

Chairman Lin Jianguo's expression changed drastically, and he stood up abruptly.

"What are they here for?!"

Before the words left his mouth, five or six elite men and women in suits had already strode into the meeting room.

The leading female director carried a silver briefcase in her hand, her gaze passing over everyone and locking directly onto Lin Xingwan.

"Miss Lin, the 12 billion in funds has been fully frozen in the third-party regulatory account."

She respectfully pushed a military-grade encrypted tablet in front of Lin Xingwan.

"As long as you perform the final biometric confirmation, the funds will arrive in your account instantly."

The entire meeting room was deathly silent.

You could even hear a pin drop.

Chairman Lin Jianguo's eyes widened, like an old dog being strangled, his face full of disbelief.

"12 billion? Full acquisition? Lin Xingwan, what the hell are you doing!"

He was shaking with rage, pointing at Lin Xingwan's nose and cursing.

Lin Xingwan didn't even lift an eyelid, picked up the stylus, signed her name on the tablet, and pressed her fingerprint.

"Ding-dong—"

A crisp text message notification sounded.

Lin Xingwan tapped on the screen, looking at the long string of zeros sent by the bank app.

12,000,000,000.00 Yuan.

A full 12 billion, safely in her pocket.

She stood up, picked up the document that had just been stamped, and gently patted it against Chairman Lin Jianguo's face.

"Chairman Lin, take a good look at who the transferee is that you just stamped to waive the right of first refusal for."

Chairman Lin Jianguo snatched the document down, staring fixedly at the transferee column.

There, printed in bold, were four large characters: Jinghai Conglomerate!

"Pfft—"

Under extreme agitation, a sweetness rose in Chairman Lin Jianguo's throat, and a mouthful of blood sprayed out!

Specks of blood splattered onto his white shirt.

His legs went weak, and he collapsed heavily back into the chair, clutching his heart and gasping for air.

"Old Lin! Old Lin, are you okay!"

Zhao Xuelan screamed in terror, turning to glare viciously at Lin Xingwan.

"You ungrateful wretch! You actually set a trap to trick your own father's official seal; you've sold even the Lin family's underwear!"

She pounced, claws out, trying to scratch Lin Xingwan's face.

Lin Xingwan showed no mercy, backhanding a loud slap that sent Zhao Xuelan flying.

"Get lost; there's no place for a dog like you to speak here."

She pulled out a wet wipe to clean her hands, her eyes sweeping coldly over Chairman Lin Jianguo, who was slumped in the chair.

"You relied on my mother to build your fortune back then, and then forced her to her death to take your position."

"These thirty percent of shares were a knife hanging over your head."

"Now, I've pulled that knife away. The largest shareholder of Lin Group has changed, so you can wait for bankruptcy liquidation."

After speaking, Lin Xingwan threw the tissue on the ground and turned elegantly in her high heels.

With 12 billion in hand, she had the confidence to stockpile supplies.

She didn't want to stay in this disgusting trash heap for even one more second.

Behind her came a loud crash of things being smashed.

Chairman Lin Jianguo caught his breath, his eyes bloodshot, and he roared like a beast at Lin Xingwan's retreating back.

"Lin Xingwan! If you walk out that door today, even if you die outside, I won't collect your corpse!"

"You sinner through the ages, don't think you'll have a good life!"

Lin Xingwan's footsteps stopped at the entrance of the conference room.

She didn't turn back, just slightly turned her face, her eyes lifted with a mocking, spectator-like amusement.

"Is that so?"

"Then Chairman Lin had better protect that little bit of coffin money you have left; I hope that in three months, you still have the strength to say those words to me."
