12: Chapter 12: War!!!

Lin Yan's words were like a heavy hammer, striking fiercely at the heart of every student present.

Many trembled with rage. Looking at Teacher Zhou Yi, besides disgust and hatred, their eyes held an undeniable trace of lingering fear. If Lin Yan hadn't exposed her today, wouldn't they also have been foolishly ruined at Teacher Zhou Yi's hands in the future?!

At the same time, sitting in the front row, Huo Yuhao clenched his fists tightly, his face full of shock. In his mind flashed what Bei Bei had told him earlier when introducing Teacher Zhou Yi—"high pass rate" and "strict teaching"—and a chill ran deep down his spine. He only had a mere Rank 11 Soul Power right now. Given Teacher Zhou Yi's temperament, wouldn't he be expelled sooner or later?

"Brother Lin is right! Teacher Zhou Yi, besides threatening people with expulsion, what else can you do?"

With Lin Yan standing up to her at the front, Little Fatty Chen Beixuan couldn't hold back any longer. He stood up abruptly, and even though his legs were trembling, he still braced himself and shouted, "If you're so capable, expel me! It's not like I really wanted to come to school anyway!"

Ye Liangchen also hurriedly stood up with him. Though his voice quavered slightly, every word was crisp and clear: "That's right! What right do you have to scold us as you please? What right do you have to threaten us with expulsion? We came here to study, not to be threatened by you!"

With Little Fatty and Skinny taking the lead, other students also plucked up their courage and echoed in righteous indignation, "Let's go protest to the academy! I don't believe the academy will let someone like you act so recklessly!"

"You don't deserve to be a teacher at all!"

"Teacher Zhou Yi, get lost!"

Teacher Zhou Yi listened to the growing chorus of agreement below the podium and looked at Lin Yan's calm, composed posture as he uttered words that stabbed straight at the heart.

A towering rage instantly overwhelmed her sanity, and she roared hysterically, "Rebellion! You are all rebelling!"

"Lin Yan! You have no respect for your elders and teachers. How dare you publicly talk back to me and slander me! Today, I will ruin you no matter what!"

Before her words even faded, the six spirit rings beneath Teacher Zhou Yi's feet burst into dazzling light, and an overbearing surge of Soul Power swept across the entire room.

In a flash, she pounced toward Lin Yan like a rabid dog, aiming straight for Lin Yan's Dantian, clearly intending to destroy his cultivation.

The students below cried out in alarm, while Little Fatty and Skinny yelled in anxiety, "Brother Lin, watch out!"

Facing Teacher Zhou Yi's sudden assault, Lin Yan's expression remained unchanged. He quickly sidestepped, easily dodging her attack without even letting the corner of his clothes be touched.

Teacher Zhou Yi struck empty air, turning even more furious from embarrassment. Just as she was about to strike again, she was stopped cold by Lin Yan's icy voice.

"Teacher Zhou Yi!"

Lin Yan's voice rang out loud and powerful, carrying an unquestionable authority.

"You said before that those who dare not cause trouble are mediocrities. Then today I will show you the consequences of blindly causing trouble and bullying the weak!"

His gaze burned bright as he stared straight at Teacher Zhou Yi, whose face was hideous and frantic. He spoke in a domineering tone, "This is a classroom. If you have the guts, come battle me outside!"

With that, Lin Yan did not give Teacher Zhou Yi another glance. He turned and walked out of the classroom, the flame aura lingering around him growing increasingly intense with every step he took.

Looking at Lin Yan's upright back, Teacher Zhou Yi trembled with rage, her teeth grinding loudly as she roared and gave chase, "Good! Good! Good! Once I cripple you, let's see if you still dare act so arrogant in front of me!"

Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and the entire class were still shocked that Lin Yan had dared to challenge Teacher Zhou Yi. Seeing Teacher Zhou Yi chase after him, they all rose to their feet and hurriedly followed.

Lin Yan walked out onto the playground in front of the classroom building, stopped, and slowly turned around.

Facing the arriving Teacher Zhou Yi and the crowd of spectating students behind her, he took a deep breath and circulated his entire body's Soul Power. A battle declaration resounded through the entire Shrek campus like a thunderclap, clearly reaching everyone's ears:

"I am Lin Yan! 11 years old this year, Rank 32 Soul Power!"

"Spirit: Emperor Flame—Ultimate Fire!"

"Today, because Teacher Zhou Yi lacks virtue and ability, and is tyrannical and unjust, I formally request a battle against her. I ask the academy to grant approval!"

That's right!

After absorbing his third spirit ring and refining that Withered-Prosperous Dragon Fire from earlier, his Spirit, the Emperor Flame, had finally transformed once again!

Ultimate Fire!

This was his confidence in having absolute certainty that Shrek Academy would value him!

Ultimate attributes, especially Ultimate Fire, were far too alluring for the current Shrek Academy, which was suffering a talent gap and facing the covetous eyes of the Sun Moon Empire, where war could break out again at any moment!

Because the Master of the Sea God Pavilion in Shrek's history, who four thousand years ago led the three Empires and decisively defeated the Sun Moon Empire, laying down Shrek Academy's current status as a "state within a state," possessed Ultimate Fire!

What was more, Ultimate Fire naturally countered spirit tools. Under ultimate high temperatures, countless spirit tools would be melted directly into liquid metal!

As Lin Yan's voice echoed throughout Shrek Academy, the entire campus fell dead silent at this moment.

In the Dean of Academic Affairs' office, Director Du Weilun's face changed drastically. His body leapt up from behind his desk, his first thought being: Who dares to make a racket here?!

Wait, no! Ultimate Fire?!

In the Martial Soul Department Dean's office, Principal Yan Shaozhe also stood up abruptly.

In the spirit tool Department Dean's office, Vice Dean Qian Duoduo and Dean Xian Liner were equally stunned.

In the experimental area, Teacher Fan Yu's expression shifted suddenly.

On Sea God Island in the Inner Court, Elder Xuan, who was guiding students in real combat, snapped his head up. In front of him, Ma Xiaotao, Ling Luochen, and other Inner Court students who were fighting also stopped their movements at the same time, looking up in shock toward the Outer Court.

In front of the freshman dormitory building, Elder Mu En, who was dozing against a cane chair, also opened his murky eyes.

In an instant, the attention of the entire Shrek Academy was firmly captured by Lin Yan's declaration of battle.

Seeing Teacher Zhou Yi chasing after him, Lin Yan didn't bother waiting for a response from Shrek's higher-ups.

The reason he had publicly exposed Teacher Zhou Yi's misdeeds and submitted a request to Shrek Academy was merely to have a justifiable cause and to leave a way out for both parties later.

That way, after he demonstrated his extraordinarily powerful potential and combat strength, combined with having sound reason on his side, who would care about someone like Teacher Zhou Yi anymore!

Teacher Zhou Yi rushed over fiercely, but upon hearing Lin Yan's words, her steps suddenly halted, and she cried out in shock, "What! Ultimate Fire?!"

"Impossible! How could you possess Ultimate Fire?!"

At this moment, an urge to retreat instantly sprang up in Teacher Zhou Yi's heart. She knew better than anyone that if Lin Yan truly possessed Ultimate Fire, he was not someone she could afford to offend.

But as matters stood now, even if she wanted to back down, it was already too late!

"Teacher Zhou Yi, step up and battle me. Otherwise, get out of Shrek today."

Lin Yan stood in the center of the playground. Around his body, the Emperor Flame roared to life, nine-colored flames coiling around him like agile dragons and snakes. The ultimate heat scorched the surrounding air until it warped and distorted.

Seeing Lin Yan's stance, Teacher Zhou Yi's expression turned unsightly, malevolence churning in her heart.

At the same time, a thought occurred to her: so what if it's Ultimate Fire?

She was a Spirit Emperor now. With a difference of over thirty ranks, could she really lose?

Furthermore, she had completely offended Lin Yan now. If he was allowed to grow up smoothly, where would there be a place for her in Shrek in the future?!

Thinking up to this point, Teacher Zhou Yi hardened her heart, malice surging recklessly from within.

Right! While the academy's higher-ups hadn't arrived yet and no one could confirm whether Lin Yan truly possessed Ultimate Fire, she would simply cripple him—cripple his Spirit!

When the time came, the academy would definitely not take action against an "outstanding" teacher like her for the sake of a ruined waste whose claim was unverified!
