Chapter 151: A Fast Way Down the Mountain

Rushing up the path as fast as possible to avoid falling down along with the parts of the path that was collapsing a few seconds after she stepped on it, Scaly managed to easily outrun the heavenly lake serpents below, who at this point didn’t really have that much of an effect on the path outside of causing things to shake a bit every now and then. So after glancing back down at the angry heavenly lake serpents below, Scaly wasted no time as she began rushing down the side of the mountain without caring the slightest bit about being noticed by any powerful monsters that might reside at the upper parts of the mountain...

However, as she did this, one of the mountain bouncing slimes that had been chasing after her similarly tripped over something before rolling down the mountain and colliding with her, something she didn’t think was possible considering the fact that slimes were almost entirely made up of slime.

But there was nothing she could do about it, as she soon found herself joining this unlucky mountain bouncing slime in rolling down the side of the mountain.

Although painful to roll down the rocky mountain side, her strong scales managed to absorb most of the damage that she ended up sustaining... And looking at things from another perspective, her speed of descending the mountain was far faster than when she had just been running down the side of the mountain.

The only negative being that she had no way to control the direction she was rolling in and could only hope that she wouldn’t end up accidentally rolling down into some kind of crevasse and find herself trapped when the water and heavenly lake serpents appeared.

In the end, outside of the mountain bouncing slimes that seemed to reign supreme on the tall mountain, Scaly also ended up encountering a large number of other monsters along her journey down the side of the mountain, who seemed to be surviving by hiding inside small caves present along the side of the mountain.

Of course, given her speed, none of them could catch her and could only look on filled with confusion as she disappeared further down the mountain together with the mountain bouncing slime.

It was just when she spotted the forest surrounding the base of the mountain appearing during her rather painful journey down the mountain, that a loud rumbling sound suddenly echoed out from behind her.

And it just so happened to be the side of the mountain she was on.

However, the thing that caused Scaly to try and increase her speed even further was the fact that she saw more than a dozen heavenly lake serpents inside the massive wave of water heading directly towards her.

Not just the heavenly lake serpents, but the mountain bouncing slimes had also been caught up in the wave and were similarly heading towards her.
