34: Chapter 34 Hello, Dr. Qin (11)
He was now sitting on the lawn in front of his villa, drinking coffee while waiting for Jiang Wan.
He wondered, when he saw Jiang Wan in a little while, what should he say to her?
He had kissed Jiang Wan yesterday.
No, it should be said that it was his one-sided demand. He didn't know how Jiang Wan felt about him, or if she would be angry with him for taking advantage of her.
He had taken such great advantage of Jiang Wan.
Should he confess his feelings to Jiang Wan today? Would she agree to be his girlfriend?
Thoughts swirled in Dr. Qin's mind. Before he could decide, he saw someone come out from the side.
It was Jiang Wan.
Dr. Qin immediately stood up and called out to Jiang Wan.
"Wanwan."
Hearing the voice, Jiang Wan turned her head and waved cheerfully at Dr. Qin.
"Brother Qin, good morning."
Seeing Jiang Wan like this, smiling at him without any sign of embarrassment, Dr. Qin felt something was off. He walked over to Jiang Wan's side, keeping his composure.
"Morning. Where are you going?"
Jiang Wan answered with a smile, "I'm hungry and I'm going to get something to eat. Brother Qin, have you had breakfast yet?"
As she spoke, Jiang Wan chattered on, "My brother still hasn't gotten up. I don't know how much he drank yesterday. I only had a little bit, but I felt dizzy when I woke up. If my stomach wasn't growling from hunger, I wouldn't have wanted to get up at all. I didn't want to wait for my brother and the others, so I came out by myself. Brother Qin, do you want to go together?"
Dr. Qin smiled gently. "Sure, I haven't eaten yet either. It'll be nice to have company."
The two walked together, and Jiang Wan took the opportunity to thank Dr. Qin, "Brother Qin, thank you for bringing me back last night. When I woke up this morning and found myself in bed, I was so confused. I don't even remember how I got back."
Dr. Qin raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You don't remember?"
Jiang Wan shook her head, "I just remember coming back with you, and then I was all dizzy and didn't know anything else. But I left with you, so you must have sent me back to my room, right? Brother Qin, thank you so much for not leaving me outside."
Dr. Qin's heart skipped a beat. He took a deep breath. "Yes, I was the one who sent you back."
He then asked, unwilling to give up, "Besides remembering that you left with me, do you really not remember anything else?"
Jiang Wan looked confused. "No! Did something happen? Did I act crazy from being drunk? Did I hit you? Scold you? Or throw up on you?"
Jiang Wan was frightened. "Is my tolerance that bad? Then I won't dare to drink in the future."
Seeing Jiang Wan's panicked expression, Dr. Qin quickly said, "No, no, you didn't act crazy, and you didn't throw up. You just fell asleep."
"Oh." Jiang Wan patted her proud chest, "You scared me to death. I thought I had caused you trouble!"
Dr. Qin shook his head helplessly.
It turned out he was the only one worrying! He had thought that when they met, they would both look at each other with embarrassment.
He was embarrassed, but she, on the other hand, had flirted with him until he was hopelessly hooked, only to wake up and forget it all.
Dr. Qin wanted to bring up last night's events, but he never had the chance.
The restaurant was crowded, and he didn't want everyone to know about their business, so he didn't bring it up.
Then, when he finally had some time alone with Jiang Wan, before he could say anything, Jiang Han arrived with Jiang Yun and Jiang Yang.
Afterwards, everyone picked fruits and vegetables together, and after a sumptuous lunch, it was time for everyone to return.
He was the first to leave, having received a call from the hospital saying a patient needed him.
Dr. Qin thought that since Jiang Wan was staying here for a few more days, he would come back when he had time and talk to her then.
Everyone left, leaving Jiang Wan alone here. Because of Dr. Qin's instructions, everyone took good care of her, and she was quite comfortable.
However, Jiang Wan didn't stay long. After receiving a call from her mother, she packed her things and went back.
The day after she returned, Jiang Wan was summoned back to the Jiang Family by her mother.
"There's a banquet in two days. Your father and I are both going to attend, and you are coming with us. The formal gowns will be delivered in a while, so pick out a couple."
Jiang Wan was somewhat reluctant, but she knew that Mother Jiang was informing her, not asking for her opinion.
"Let me tell you, the people coming to this banquet are all prominent figures, so be careful and don't cause any trouble. There will be many young people there, and since you just got back, you can make some new acquaintances."
Mother Jiang kept nagging, and soon the gowns were delivered.
Although Mother Jiang didn't particularly like Jiang Wan, she still wanted to pick two beautiful gowns for her.
There was no other reason; she just felt that if Jiang Wan went out looking sloppy, it would make the Jiang Family lose face.
No matter how much Mother Jiang disliked Jiang Wan, she had to admit that among all her children, Jiang Wan was the most stunning.
Whether it was her figure or her appearance, both were top-tier.
Her mother-in-law, who never got along with her, had also been a great beauty back in the day.
And Jiang Wan was even better.
When Jiang Wan came out in the gown, Mother Jiang nodded with satisfaction. "This one is nice, you can keep it."
Jiang Wan looked at the deep V-neck on her chest and frowned. A form-fitting dress was one thing, but this was too revealing.
Jiang Wan voiced her objection. "Mom, this is too revealing. I don't like it."
Mother Jiang: "Isn't this good? It shows you have a great figure! Others would want to wear it but wouldn't be able to pull it off."
Mother Jiang's perception of Jiang Wan was just that of a pretty vase, so of course, the prettier, the better.
Jiang Wan still disagreed, "I don't like it. I'm not used to wearing this. I'll pick something else."
She wasn't selling herself, so why show so much?
After saying this, Jiang Wan picked a relatively conservative and exquisite gown to change into.
Jiang Wan daring to contradict her made Mother Jiang very angry.
She felt that Jiang Wan had grown bold and no longer respected her as her mother.
Before Jiang Wan could come out in the other gown, Mother Jiang rushed into the walk-in closet, walked up to Jiang Wan, and stared at her with sharp eyes.
"Jiang Wan, your courage is truly growing. You don't put me, your mother, in your eyes, do you? Let me tell you, I was able to agree to your father letting you come back, and I can also have your father send you away again."
Jiang Wan had thought some ill-intentioned person had rushed in, and her heart was about to jump out of her chest. Seeing it was her mother, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Jiang Wan zipped up the back of her dress while listening to her mother's threats.
After her mother finished speaking, Jiang Wan looked at her and said softly, "Okay! I'll be waiting. Do it as soon as possible. Or, why don't you call Dad right now?"
There were only the two of them, mother and daughter, here, and Jiang Wan didn't want to act anymore.
Mother Jiang was even angrier seeing Jiang Wan's unbridled attitude.
"You think I don't dare, right? I'm telling you, you'd better behave yourself, otherwise, be careful or I'll leave you out on the street."
"The Jiang Family raised you this big and invested so many resources in you. Now that you've grown up, you should at least do something for the family."
"When you were abroad, your father and I never skimped on your food and drink. Since you've returned, we've arranged a house for you and given you plenty of pocket money. You can't make your father and me feel like we raised an ungrateful wretch, right?"
Jiang Wan looked at her biological mother, who was lecturing her, and only asked one question.
"Are you trying to make me enter a marriage of convenience?"
Mother Jiang didn't deny it: "Isn't this good? You don't have a job or any income right now; you're being supported by your father and me. Finding you a partner with a matching family background so you won't have to worry about food and clothing for the rest of your life, isn't that right? Your father and I are thinking so much for you; we've been good enough to you."
"Take a look at this circle; which family isn't like this? Don't tell me you want to find some poor boy?"
Jiang Wan gave a sad smile. Yes, that was correct. At least they hadn't chosen a poor family for her.
However, as for the character of those people, she believed that with how much her mother hated her, she definitely wouldn't choose carefully.
