60: Finish

“The Minotaur truly deserves to die,” Li Ye said coldly.

Just as he was about to attack the Minotaur Yao, Yan Xiaoji shouted, “Master, Xiao Ji will help you stop him!”

Seeing the Minotaur Yao, whose aura was even more dangerous than her own, Yan Xiaoji immediately pulled out her Shang Yan Sword and rushed towards the Minotaur Yao.

The Shang Yan Sword was covered in dense fresh blood, and that wasn't all; flames inexplicably ignited on top of the blood.

This was a new type of flame she had comprehended, named Blood Flame. Although it couldn't compare to Xiao Yan's strange fire, it was much stronger than ordinary flames.

“Yan Xiaoji, wait,” Li Ye rushed over. He couldn't let Yan Xiaoji fight such a powerful Yao Beast alone.

The Minotaur Yao roared, picking up its iron rod and smashing it fiercely onto Yan Xiaoji's Shang Yan Sword. The next moment, the Shang Yan Sword suddenly flew off, and Yan Xiaoji's pupils constricted. She felt a sense of death.

“Tree Imprisonment Technique.”

Upon seeing this, Li Ye and Chen Peipei quickly cast the Tree Imprisonment Technique together. Spiritual wood extended from the ground, forming wooden walls.

The Minotaur Yao's iron rod instantly shattered dozens of wooden walls.

However, this was not enough to resist the Minotaur Yao's full-force blow. A powerful shockwave sent Yan Xiaoji flying backward.

Li Ye used the Cloud Stepping Footwork and quickly caught Yan Xiaoji in mid-air.

At this moment, Yan Xiaoji was listless, her Qi a bit low.

Seeing this, Li Ye quickly pulled out a handful of Bone Growth Pills and Blood Stasis Removing Pills from his Storage Pouch and put them into Yan Xiaoji's mouth.

She opened her beautiful eyes, looking at Li Ye with a complex expression.

“Ma… Master, Xiao Ji is useless, unable to protect Master…”

Through their time together, Yan Xiaoji had long revered Li Ye as a deity; Li Ye was her heaven.

“Xiao Ji, you don't have to be like this…” Li Ye looked at Yan Xiaoji with a hint of sadness and indignation.

At this moment, Yan Xiaoji's body was covered in fresh blood.

She slowly closed her eyes.

Just as Li Ye was immersed in the sorrow of losing something important, snores came from Yan Xiaoji's delicate nose.

…

The girls and the Minotaur Yao were also immersed in this somber moment.

As it turned out, Yan Xiaoji wasn't dead; she was just asleep.

Li Ye looked at her speechlessly. All the blood on her body was apparently due to her abilities.

He patted Yan Xiaoji's pretty face.

Yan Xiaoji opened her small mouth, drooling, and kept muttering in her sleep.

“Master, Master, Xiao Ji likes you.”

“Human, playtime is over. Let's have a fight to the death, Minotaur Yao.”

The Minotaur Yao did not take advantage of everyone looking at Yan Xiaoji to launch a sneak attack; instead, it was quite honorable.

Li Ye saw that the Minotaur Yao's emotions were more stable compared to the Blood Ghost and previous demons, and he immediately became curious.

“Minotaur Yao, putting everything else aside, I really want to know what grievances you demons have with us humans. Why do you attack us like this?”

Li Ye asked the question he most wanted to ask.

With the recent global announcement for small regions ending, more and more small regions would undoubtedly be annihilated.

A small region had one thousand players.

Li Ye estimated that not many were left alive in his small region.

No one had disturbed his Changye Sect these days.

The entire Barren Ancient Star had one hundred thousand large regions, and within each large region were one hundred small regions. The current population should only be a few tens of millions. Calculating this, on average, each small region now had fewer than ten people…

It was only normal for all players in a small region to be wiped out…

The Minotaur Yao shook his head and said, “Human, you are wrong about one thing. It's not that we have any grievances with you humans. To be precise, it's that we have grievances with you players.”

After he finished speaking, he said no more and charged over.

Li Ye stood at the very front. He possessed a Low Grade Third Tier Spiritual Artifact, and fighting the Minotaur Yao was not difficult.

However, Li Ye felt a bit self-mocking.

He had originally thought he could challenge Golden Core Stage powerhouses, but now it seemed he was still far from it.

The Minotaur Yao clashed its rod with Li Ye's Xuan Tian Sword.

Meanwhile, Xiao Yan, seizing the opportunity, held the Blood Ghost Heavy Sword and slashed at the Minotaur Yao's waist.

The Blood Ghost Heavy Sword burned with green flames, causing the Minotaur Yao pain.

Li Ye also used the Yin Wind Swordplay.

The current top-ranked player and the top few players were cooperating to fight the Minotaur Yao.

Although the Minotaur Yao's attacks were powerful, its attack speed was not high.

Perhaps this was the Minotaur Yao's limitation.

Li Ye and Xiao Yan eagerly attacked the Minotaur Yao.

The Minotaur Yao roared. This seemed to be one of the Minotaur Yao's Divine Abilities. Li Ye and Xiao Yan froze for a moment.

He picked up his rod and slammed it fiercely towards Xiao Yan. Xiao Yan's small face turned pale, and Li Ye quickly pushed her away.

Fortunately, Li Ye was wearing the Xuanming Armor, and his Physical Body was tough enough.

For a moment, the Minotaur Yao could hardly believe it.

Chen Peipei and Xiao Luolin were also continuously on the sidelines, observing.

Li Ye, meanwhile, acted as a meat shield at the front, using high-damage Divine Abilities with Xiao Yan.

Just as they were in a stalemate, Yan Xiaoji also finished resting, quickly got up, and joined in the encirclement of the Minotaur Yao.

Li Ye also took the opportunity to quickly take out the Blood Demon Token.

“Blood Ghost King, I need your help.”

The next moment, the deceased Blood Ghost King reappeared beside Li Ye.

“Blood Ghost King, help us kill the Minotaur Yao.”

“Yes, Master.”

The Blood Ghost King also charged forward.

…

Finally, before seven o'clock, the honorable Minotaur Yao was ganged up on. When its health was finally at the bottom, Li Ye used the Yin Wind Swordplay to claim the kill, and the Minotaur Yao crashed to the ground.

As he died, his eyes, like those of the Blood Ghost King, seemed to find liberation; a gleam appeared in his eyes.
