99: No more rewards on Blood Moon Day?

“Convert?”

Li Ye’s eyes flickered slightly; the identity of a Contractor was clearly more Advanced than that of a Player.

Most of the Players participating in the Blood Shadow Demon quest were high-ranking.

Around a hundred people.

In other words, the mastermind behind the scenes planned to start a divergence.

High-ranking Contractors would become stronger, while lower-ranking Players would become weaker.

No, it had always been an exaggerated divergence.

It could be said effortlessly that all Players ranked after the tenth position combined were more powerful than, for example, the second to ninth positions.

And Li Ye was even more confident that even if all Players combined, they would not be his opponent.

“Can you please introduce what a Contractor is, what they need to do, and what privileges they have?”

Li Ye tentatively asked the mastermind behind the scenes.

“Ding! Complete one mission each week, mission rewards increase by one hundred percent, the area you are in is a safe zone, and the difficulty of Blood Moon Day is greatly reduced.

Convert?”

Li Ye seemed to understand a bit.

After becoming a Contractor, one needed to complete missions for the mastermind behind the scenes, and the rewards for completing missions would also double.

But this mission was mandatory.

However, if the mastermind behind the scenes forcibly asked Li Ye to deal with a Soul Transformation, Li Ye would not do it.

His current strength could, at most, instantly kill a Late Stage Nascent Soul.

At the same time, after becoming a Contractor, one could bind their current area, which would reduce the danger of Blood Moon Day in that area.

Although it increased the survival rate, correspondingly, it would reduce rewards.

The rewards for high rankings in the Peak competition were still very useful.

Wait, today seems to be the 21st day, it seems it will be the third Blood Moon Day?

Li Ye rubbed his chin, very conflicted.

This Contractor thing seems to be of no use at all.

Perhaps sensing Li Ye’s thoughts.

The mastermind behind the scenes immediately added:

“In the future, Blood Moon Day rewards will be greatly reduced, with the focus of rewards shifting to Contractors.”

Upon hearing this, Li Ye had no choice.

If you say so, what else can I do?

He always felt that this mastermind behind the scenes seemed to have some ill intentions towards him, insisting that he become this so-called Contractor.

“Convert!”

“Successfully converted to Contractor.”

“This week’s mission: eliminate the Deadly Stillness Lord of the Dead Silence World. Do you wish to accept?”

When Li Ye saw this, he felt numb.

It seemed he had no choice but to accept it.

The events Ning Jiuxiao experienced, Zhao Ming’s death, and Tian Lan’s death all proved that Li Ye had to deal with this matter.

“Barren Ancient Star Will, right? I know you’re listening. Can you tell me what the purpose of a Contractor truly is?”

Perhaps because Li Ye was highly ranked, or perhaps because of Li Ye’s good strength.

Therefore, the Barren Ancient Star Will, for the first time, answered Li Ye again.

“To save Secret Realms that are about to decline or have already declined.”

However, it was limited to this sentence.

Li Ye fell silent upon hearing this.

At this moment, a message was heard again in everyone’s ears.

“The third Blood Moon Day begins, time adjusted to 12 AM to 12 PM.”

However, after this sentence, there was no further information.

This also meant that the Barren Ancient Star would cancel the Blood Moon Day rewards.

At this moment, complaints began to fill the chat channel.

“What the hell?! Why is this Blood Moon Day just a simple sentence? Rewards, where are our rewards?!”

“Exactly! Last week, I was at least a top five thousand expert. If there are no rewards this time, who will still fight bravely?!”

“Upstairs, is it possible that even if you don’t fight bravely, the rampaging demons and Yao Beasts will bravely kill you?”

“…”

“Hey, good thing I joined Changye City. With the protection of Eternal Night, I can definitely survive.”

“I’m envious. After this Blood Moon Day passes, I also want to join Eternal Night’s Changye City.”

“+1”

…

“+10086”
