149: Chapter 149 Guided in the Water: I Must Suck This Poison Myself

Deep within the Medicine Spirit Abyss, mist swirled.

The surface of the Ten Thousand Medicine Spirit Liquid Pool rippled with delicate, layered tremors, caused by two bodies pressed tightly together beneath the water.

Liu Hanyan's eyes were closed, her waterfall of black hair floating on the emerald water like an ink-black lotus blooming on the surface.

Her slender, jade-like hands, usually reserved for refining pills, were now trembling slightly as they pressed against Xu Chen's scorching back, her fingertips white from the intensity of her grip.

"Mmm..."

As the warm, jade-like energy of her innate Wood Spirit Body flowed continuously into Xu Chen, two utterly different forces collided violently within his meridians.

In that instant, Liu Hanyan felt as if she were no longer holding a person, but a piece of red-hot iron. The overwhelmingly domineering poison of the Nirvana Golden Flame, through their tightly pressed skin, frantically tried to backlash into her own meridians.

Hot.

Unbelievably hot.

If not for her Wood Spirit Body and the chilling waters of this pool, she would likely have been severely burned already.

"Don't move... endure it..."

Feeling the man in her arms tense his muscles in pain, Liu Hanyan's heart softened. Her body, initially somewhat shy and stiff, unconsciously pressed closer against his.

She slightly tilted her long, graceful neck, her cherry lips parting as she exhaled a fragrant breath. Her exquisite face was now covered in a fine sheen of sweat, droplets sliding down her cheeks and falling into the pool, indistinguishable from the spirit liquid.

The scene beneath the water was even more breathtakingly intimate.

Lubricated by the spirit liquid, every subtle friction of their skin felt like igniting a tiny flame. Liu Hanyan's full, proud curves, buoyed by the water, pressed unreservedly against Xu Chen's solid chest. With each rise and fall of their breathing, the sensation was enough to make one's soul leave their body.

"Tower Master Liu..."

Just then, Xu Chen's previously faint voice suddenly sounded by her ear.

Liu Hanyan's eyes snapped open, immediately meeting a pair of eyes deep as an abyss, yet flickering with a hint of teasing fire.

This was hardly the gaze of a dying man! The aggression in those eyes was clearly more intense than the fire poison within him.

"You... you're awake?"

Liu Hanyan instinctively tried to pull back, to create a safer distance between them.

But the next second, a large hand ghostly appeared underwater, wrapping around her slender waist. With a slight pull, it pressed her retreating form, which had barely moved half an inch, firmly back against his chest.

"Don't move."

Xu Chen's voice was hoarse, carrying an undeniable authority.

"The treatment has just begun. If the Tower Master withdraws her energy now, this half-life of mine would truly be forfeit."

"You—"

Liu Hanyan flushed with a mix of shame and indignation, her cheeks reddening like ripe peaches. She knew she couldn't stop, but this posture, this atmosphere... this was hardly treatment! It was clearly... clearly flirtation!

"The fire poison has already been forced to the heart region."

Xu Chen didn't give her a chance to protest. He lowered his head slightly, his nose almost touching hers, his scorching breath fanning her face, making her limbs go weak and sapping her strength.

"Tower Master Liu, relying solely on spiritual energy transfer is too slow."

"Then... then what should we do?" Liu Hanyan's eyes grew dazed, her mind already somewhat oxygen-deprived, completely following his lead.

A mischievous smile tugged at the corner of Xu Chen's mouth. He took one of Liu Hanyan's hands and slowly guided it downward, pressing it against his lower dantian.

"Here, this is the source of the fire poison."

"Use your hand to guide it... to draw it out."

Liu Hanyan's hand trembled violently.

Beneath her palm were the man's iron-hard abdominal muscles and the powerful, drum-like beat of his heart. Even more dangerously, she could clearly feel the astonishing heat contained in that spot, swelling frantically with her touch.

"Draw... draw it out?"

Liu Hanyan's voice trembled. Coming from Xu Chen's mouth, these three words sounded utterly improper.

"Yes, use your Wood Spirit energy as the guide."

Xu Chen spoke with feigned seriousness, but his hands were not idle. Underwater, he gently stroked the smooth, jade-like skin of Liu Hanyan's back, his fingertips sliding down her vertebrae one by one, each touch eliciting a shiver.

"Mmm..."

Liu Hanyan's body arched sharply, a sweet, muffled moan escaping from deep in her throat.

The sensation was too strange.

Though submerged in water, she felt as if she were about to ignite. The spiritual energy within her grew chaotic from the emotional turmoil, and what began as pure treatment gradually shifted in flavor.

"Xu Chen... don't... don't touch so recklessly..."

She tried to grab his mischievous hand, but found her body as soft as water, utterly powerless.

"I'm helping you locate the acupoints to guide the medicinal efficacy."

Xu Chen spoke righteously, but the movements of his hands grew increasingly bold.

His fingertips brushed a sensitive spot at her waist, causing her to tremble lightly. The pool water rippled accordingly, lapping against their bodies with crisp sounds.

"Tower Master Liu, your heart is beating very fast."

Xu Chen leaned close to her ear and gently nibbled on her crystal-clear earlobe.

*Boom!*

Liu Hanyan felt the string in her mind named "reason" snap completely.

She was the lofty Tower Master of the Dan Tower! On ordinary days, men dared not even look at her directly without caution. Who would ever dare treat her like this?

Yet, faced with this man who had risked his life to save her, she couldn't muster the slightest resistance in her heart. Instead, she felt an impulse... to surrender completely.

"You scoundrel..."

Liu Hanyan closed her eyes, a single crystalline tear sliding from the corner.

She ceased resisting. Instead, she relaxed her tightly clenched jaw, wrapped her arms around Xu Chen's neck, and offered herself entirely to his control.

"If you want to draw it out... then do it..."

"If I can't save you... I won't live either."

Her words held a note of defiance, a touch of resignation, and, above all, a desperate affection.

Looking at the unparalleled beauty in his arms, yielding and ready to be plucked, the fire in Xu Chen's eyes blazed completely.

In the water, he suddenly flipped over, pinning Liu Hanyan against the smooth, warm white jade wall of the pool.

The emerald pool water lapped over their chests, framing the scene as if in a dream.

"Tower Master Liu, you said it yourself."

Xu Chen gently lifted her chin with his finger, gazing into those misty eyes brimming with emotion.

"Since we've started, there's no reason to stop halfway."

"This fire poison is too fierce. Relying on hands alone... probably isn't enough."

"Then... what else?" Liu Hanyan, now utterly lost in passion, asked in a voice soft enough to drip water.

Xu Chen smiled slightly, lowering his head to kiss her long, swan-like neck, trailing downward until he paused between two breathtaking peaks of snowy white.

"Naturally... the complementary union of yin and yang, merging as seamlessly as water and milk."

"Ah..."

With a gasp she could no longer suppress, the pool water churned violently. The white spirit mist instantly thickened, obscuring the spring scenery filling the pool.

But the constantly undulating waves and the suppressed, rapid gasps announced to the entire Medicine Spirit Abyss—

This so-called "treatment" had finally, completely, transformed into something else.
