127: Feng Yue

In the distance, a scarlet sun hung in the sky, and the barren land was devoid of vegetation, save for a few slowly moving figures. It was as if a dead silence had fallen!

Everyone followed behind Lu Ze, slowly moving forward.

If one looked closely, they would find that, besides Fu Liang and Qin Wan, there were also some unfamiliar faces following behind Lu Ze. The Spiritual Qi emanating from these individuals clearly indicated that their cultivation was above the Major Achievement of the Fourth Grade!

These individuals were members of various Families, also arranged by their Family to follow Lu Ze closely and obey his commands!

Although the sun hung in the sky, it wasn't too hot, but for some unknown reason, everyone was sweating!

After entering this place, the sun in the sky had not moved an inch, but Fu Liang had been keeping track of time, and they had already been walking for almost three hours!

For three whole hours, all they could see was a vast plain. This part of the world was empty; they couldn't find any landmarks, and the ground was hard, not even leaving a single footprint.

The only thing that made them feel like they weren't in a ghost-haunted maze was that the burnt corpse of the Demon had not been seen again.

"We're here!"

Lu Ze, who was in front, suddenly stopped.

"Here?!"

Fu Liang stopped as well, then looked around, but saw nothing.

This place was still the same as before, with the sun high in the sky, and nothing but uneven land as far as the eye could see!

"Young Master Lu, there's nothing different here!"

Fu Liang looked around, trying to find a hint of something unusual, but found nothing.

Lu Ze squatted on the ground and took out the map Cheng Ran had given him earlier. He carefully compared it; this was indeed the place Cheng Ran had pointed out!

But now, there was nothing in front of him!

"Eh?"

Qin Wan suddenly spoke, "What is that?"

Everyone was drawn by Qin Wan's voice and looked in the direction she pointed!

They saw that a courtyard, shaped like a temple, had appeared on the flat ground where there had been nothing.

The courtyard was small, only about ten square meters. The yellow walls on the outside of the courtyard were already dilapidated, with moss growing all over them.

Through a collapsed section of the wall, one could glimpse a corner of the courtyard.

Inside the courtyard, a tree seemed to be growing, with white petals falling from it onto the ground.

Faintly, a figure seemed to be in the courtyard, but it wasn't very clear.

"I just looked around this area, and I didn't see this courtyard. When did this place appear?!"

Fu Liang rubbed his eyes, almost disbelieving!

He clearly remembered there was nothing around just now. Did he remember wrong?

Lu Ze, however, chuckled softly, "This should be the Breakthrough point. Let's go take a look!"

Everyone followed Lu Ze towards the courtyard, and the closer they got, the more they could smell a fragrance.

Lu Ze immediately reminded everyone to hold their breath and not inhale the scent into their lungs.

Everyone understood that having reached Fourth Grade cultivation, they could go without breathing for a long time!

Upon reaching the courtyard gate, Lu Ze directly pushed it open. The old gate, which had not been opened for a long time, dropped a layer of dust when Lu Ze pushed it open.

Lu Ze waved his hand, clearing away the dust, and looked into the courtyard.

Inside, it was very clean. A tree stood in one corner of the courtyard, and on the stone chairs and stone table below, there were two cups of tea, with visible steam slowly rising from them.

In the center was a small temple, very dark inside, making it impossible to see what was being worshipped, but a statue on the altar could vaguely be made out.

Lu Ze was the first to step into the courtyard, and the others followed cautiously.

After only a few steps, a charming voice was heard, "Guests have arrived, why were we not informed beforehand? Entering uninvited, it truly makes this servant unable to distinguish between friend and foe!"

Instantly!

Fu Liang and the others all drew their weapons, ready for battle!

Before that voice appeared, they hadn't detected anyone's presence around them. To conceal one's aura so silently and without a trace showed how profound this person's cultivation was!

Lu Ze, however, pinpointed the direction of the voice and said, "We have been traveling in this world for a long time. We entered uninvited to ask for a cup of tea!"

"So it's for a cup of tea, then you are not enemies. Very well, please sit down at your leisure, this servant will go brew tea."

The voice gradually faded away.

Lu Ze directly walked to the stone table and sat down. Everyone else followed Lu Ze, each one highly vigilant.

After sitting down, Lu Ze continuously observed the place, comparing it to the map Cheng Ran had given him. The location here matched perfectly, it was exactly where Cheng Ran had marked it!

This was the place Cheng Ran had spoken of, the place where one could Breakthrough the Gate of Death!

At this moment, Lu Ze became increasingly interested in learning the subsequent Talisman formations.

Cheng Ran's studies had progressed to the point where she could directly discern the location for a Breakthrough of the Gate of Death!

"My esteemed guests have waited long!"

The charming voice reappeared, and then, from within the temple, a stiff body slowly shuffled out, step by step!

As this figure emerged, many people's faces turned pale!

Even Fu Liang covered his mouth, struggling to hold back his vomit!

What they saw was a corpse, half-rotted, holding a tray with several cups of tea. Its body had many sores, and the festering areas were covered with maggots.

Maggots occupied half of its face, and as its body moved, several maggots fell from its face into the tea.

Everyone was holding their breath, so they naturally couldn't smell the stench, but the sight before them was enough to make them imagine the smell.

Lu Ze remained seated on the stone chair, his expression unchanged.

When the rotting corpse handed the tea to Lu Ze, he reached out and took it, even saying thank you.

Everyone couldn't help but wonder if Lu Ze was under some illusion, believing he saw a great beauty, and thus calmly accepting the tea?

Just as Fu Liang was about to speak, he saw Lu Ze look at him, his eyes still deep, and shook his head.

Fu Liang understood, giving the others a look, and everyone pretended to be calm as they accepted the tea.

The rotting corpse seemed very happy, its facial muscles twitching with its smile, and many more maggots fell off.

Qin Wan and Xiong Lu had already closed their eyes; they were truly disgusted, and if they looked any longer, they feared they would really vomit!

"My name is Lu Ze, may I ask your name?"

Lu Ze spoke to start a conversation.

The rotting corpse sat down on the stone stool opposite Lu Ze and smiled slightly, "My maiden name is Feng Yue."

Upon hearing this, Fu Liang's eyes narrowed.

That name sounded a bit familiar!

He subtly gave Qin Wan a look, and the latter moved slightly forward, her body largely blocking Fu Liang.

Using the cover of his body, Fu Liang immediately opened his phone and quickly searched for information.

Lu Ze slightly raised his hand, "Senior Feng Yue."
