113: You bunch of scoundrels

"This is a snow lotus, a main ingredient for several types of Medicinal Pill; the price is decent..."

Chu Yuan asked curiously, "How much is it?"

"Probably worth a few dozen military merit?" Instructor Xie Jun thought for a moment and said uncertainly. He wasn't interested in Alchemy, so he only knew roughly.

"..."

"This snow lotus is already the most expensive one; the others are worth even less." Instructor Xie Jun poked at the dozen or so plants placed on the table and said.

"..." Chu Yuan remained speechless. In other words, had he worked hard to bring back a pile of junk? No, that wasn't right, he hadn't really worked that hard, but it was indeed junk...

Seeing his expression, Instructor Xie Jun could roughly guess what he was thinking and said with a wry smile, "If there were really any good things, you don't think it would be your turn to scavenge them, do you? Besides, on Earth Star, apart from Secret Realm, naturally born Opportunity is extremely rare and not worth much... Don't waste your thoughts on this."

"I feel like the medicinal power inside is quite strong."

"That's why it's a main ingredient for several types of Medicinal Pill. If converted to money, it should be worth several hundred million?"

"That's still quite valuable... but the quantity is so small, how can it be a main ingredient for Medicinal Pill?"

"There are just few on Earth Star... There is a Secret Realm that specifically produces this type of ice-element Materials."

"Fine then..." Chu Yuan regretfully put away all the plants on the table. He suddenly realized that at the level he could currently access, it might be difficult to encounter an Opportunity that could surprise him.

Especially with the massive military merit brought by the Blood Beast tribe Legacy ahead of him... The desire to scavenge was successfully dispelled, and Chu Yuan entered seclusion mode again. Whenever he felt he had gained something, he would go to the snowy mountains to test his skills against exotic beasts, and then return to seclusion.

However, he couldn't bring himself to kill the only remaining Fifth Realm snow python. After all, it was the only one left, and if he really killed it, Instructor Xie Jun clearly wouldn't be able to catch another one for him... It made that snow python move its home several times... Fortunately, it seemed to be afraid of something and never dared to truly leave the snowy mountains.

During this period, the first assessment was held as scheduled, and a large group of people were eliminated!

Three days after the first assessment, the leaderboard opened, and points exchange opened!

This time it was purely a reward, with no punishment... The ranking was based on the amount of points, which was also within many people's expectations. Killing points, Cultivation points, leaderboard points... The ranking was based on total points!

If you could stay on the leaderboard, even if you did nothing, you would receive a sum of points on time every day. For those not on the list, you might work yourself to the bone, slaughtering a few exotic beasts with great difficulty, and the points you obtained might not be as much as what others got just by lying still...

It really had a flavor of the strong getting stronger and the winner taking all!

However, this time no one was making a fuss about unfairness. Those who could stay had already subtly accepted this model.

The words were crude, but they made sense: if you can't accept it, then leave; no one is forcing you to stay here. Complaining about unfairness here... Well, Great Qin has tens of millions of students who don't even have the qualifications to enter the training base, let alone getting free Cultivation Technique and Martial Skill, or exchanging for Medicinal Pill and guidance. Wouldn't they feel even more unfairly treated?

After the leaderboard opened, the second assessment followed; the requirements were simple and brutal: students in the Qi and Blood Realm must advance to the Leakless Realm within seven days to be considered as having completed the assessment; students in the Leakless Realm must advance to the Inner Breath Realm within ten days to be considered as having completed the assessment, which was three days more than the former; those in the Inner Breath Realm... were required to advance by one minor Realm within ten days!

Instantly, some people broke down...

That same day, someone was being sarcastic in the anonymous group chat: "Instructor Xie Jun, I order you to advance to the Eighth Realm within a month! Advance to the Ninth Realm within half a year! And pacify the Outer Heaven Battlefield within a year!"

"I'm laughing from anger, family. Does the instructor think this is what? Growing vegetables? Growing one centimeter today, two centimeters tomorrow..."

"Actually, if you have points to exchange for Medicinal Pill... it shouldn't be that hard to achieve, right?"

"Then have you ever thought about whether taking too many Medicinal Pill will affect future advancement?"

"There must be countermeasures, right? Didn't the instructor say that Great Qin wants strong people, not cannon fodder."

"Look at his arrogant attitude, does it look like he cares whether you live or die?"

"I don't care about that much, anyway I want to stay..."

"Me too. I couldn't afford the Medicinal Pill exchanged with points even if I sold my family's house... And after advancing, there are Cultivation points, which can be exchanged for resources again."

"Chicken and egg, egg and chicken? When one day you exchange for resources and still can't advance, won't your capital chain break?"

"Let's talk about the future in the future..."

"You bunch of grinders!"

...

The atmosphere inside the training base changed again; students were either hiding in their rooms, Cultivate with the Energy Gathering Array; or they were rushing to the snowy mountains to accumulate killing points, then exchanging for Medicinal Pill or guidance, and continuing their seclusion... cycling back and forth like this.

Of course, all of this didn't have much impact on Chu Yuan; the points brought by just that giant bear he slaughtered were enough to weld him firmly in the first place on the leaderboard!

As for the second phase of the assessment, Instructor Xie Jun didn't say what requirements Divine Power Realm Martial Artist had to meet; the students also tacitly didn't mention it... as if they had all forgotten about this person.

Chu Yuan didn't need to be like others and exchange for any Medicinal Pill or guidance; as for Medicinal Pill, he originally had a batch of blood pills and spirit nurturing pill, and later when he took a master, the storage ring given to him by Wei Huang contained a large batch of very comprehensive martial arts Medicinal Pill, enough to support his Cultivation for a long time.

As for guidance... neither Instructor Xie Jun nor Zheng Qian could guide him in Cultivate the Divine Kingdom of Light; at least an Eighth Realm powerhouse who had Cultivate this Martial Skill could guide him. But there were naturally no Eighth Realm Martial Artist in the training base...

However, points were not useless to him; he had actually taken a fancy to a treasure, but it required a lot of points!

[Phantom Veil; Category: Mask; Effect: Can freely change appearance and physique (limited to human form). Restriction: Sixth Realm and below cannot see through it; only changes external appearance, cannot change physical entity. If disguising as a non-Human Race creature, avoid physical contact. Description: Refined from the energy core of a Phantom tribe powerhouse combined with illusion Law. Price: 100,000 points]

This thing was not the most expensive in the points treasury, but it was exactly what Chu Yuan wanted most; after all, when traveling in Jianghu, how can you do it without a few disguises?

Although the shielding level of the Phantom Veil was a bit low, as long as it was strengthened by the System... 100,000 points was not impossible to get...
