21: Enter the Ghoul Factory dungeon!

Centered around the entrance to the Corpse Demon Factory Dungeon, a temporary camp had been set up.

Inside the camp, uniformed military personnel patrolled, while soldiers stood guard outside.

Although the danger level of this newly appeared Trial Instance was not high,

the authorities, to ensure the safety of the students and maintain order in the area, had dispatched a large number of personnel to be stationed there and established this small camp.

Inside the camp, Ye Ze noticed that many Teachers from the three major middle schools were also present,

holding various materials, some even carrying a hand bone covered in a green, unknown liquid, moving between the different tents.

They seemed to be conducting some kind of research...

Ye Ze saw the entrance to the Corpse Fiend Dungeon from afar—

a massive, green-glowing vortex.

Different colors represented different danger levels of the Corpse Fiend Dungeon; green meant there were boss-level monsters within the Corpse Fiend Dungeon.

The attributes of boss-level monsters were several times those of ordinary monsters of the same level.

A registration point was set up about three meters away from the Corpse Fiend Dungeon entrance.

All teams preparing to enter the Corpse Demon Factory Dungeon had to complete the registration procedures here first.

Ye Ze led Liu Meiqi directly towards the registration point,

and the staff member sitting behind the desk looked at them in confusion. "Your team only has two people?"

"Yes." Ye Ze nodded.

"What are your professions?" the staff member asked with a frown.

Liu Meiqi answered honestly, "Blacksmith."

Ye Ze, raising the Frost Bow in his hand, said with a smile, "Archer."

"Blacksmith?" The staff member's voice rose by an octave.

After hearing Ye Ze's profession, the staff member's expression softened slightly, but he still reprimanded the two: "A Blacksmith and an Archer, and you dare to challenge the Trial Instance? Isn't this just fooling around?"

"Although the Trial Instance doesn't have a high danger level, it's not meant to be treated so lightly."

"Do you really think this is a game? The monsters in the Corpse Fiend Dungeon can't kill you."

"They really can't kill us." Ye Ze shook his head.

The staff member was so angry he laughed. "You still have the nerve to talk back."

Ye Ze nudged Liu Meiqi beside him with his hand,

Liu Meiqi: "?"

"Shield Ring." Ye Ze reminded her.

"Oh, oh."

*Swish~*

Liu Meiqi reacted and immediately activated the Shield Ring.

"Bronze-grade secret treasure." The staff member raised an eyebrow slightly.

Afterward, Ye Ze pulled open his jacket, revealing the B2 series combat suit worth 300,000.

It was then that the staff member realized that the two people before him were actually well-equipped 'pay-to-win' fighters.

Seeing that the staff member still had no reaction,

Ye Ze again raised the Frost Bow in his hand, slowly drew it back, and an arrow emitting cold air gradually condensed into shape.

As the staff member hesitated, Ye Ze's action made his eyelid twitch—another Bronze-grade secret treasure!!

His impression of them being 'pay-to-win' fighters deepened further.

"We'll only clear monsters on the outer edge of the first floor and definitely won't go deep." Ye Ze said.

After a moment of contemplation, the staff member asked, "Have you seen the Corpse Fiend Dungeon data pack on the official forum?"

"We've seen it." Ye Ze answered.

"When did you see it?" the staff member continued to ask.

"Reporting! We saw the latest updated data pack." Ye Ze answered seriously.

The staff member nodded. "Okay."

Suddenly, he thought of something else: "Have you prepared Random Teleport Scrolls?"

"We have." Ye Ze answered.

Only then did the staff member nod in satisfaction, allowing the two to enter the Corpse Fiend Dungeon: "Before entering, please register your names and information."

After the two wrote down their names and schools, they finally obtained the qualification to enter the Corpse Fiend Dungeon.

The authorities truly went to great lengths for the students' safety and to reduce the injury rate in the Corpse Fiend Dungeon.

Arriving before the green vortex entrance, Ye Ze and Liu Meiqi exchanged glances; both were entering a Corpse Fiend Dungeon for the first time.

Ye Ze was relatively calm, while Liu Meiqi, looking at the huge green vortex entrance before her, felt a trace of nervousness.

This was a huge green vortex entrance about one meter in diameter, emitting a bloodthirsty aura from within, like a wild beast opening its dark maw, waiting for professional players to venture deeper and challenge it.

After taking a deep breath, Liu Meiqi turned to Ye Ze and said with a firm tone, "I'm ready, let's go in."

"Okay." Ye Ze nodded. Immediately, the two stepped side-by-side into the green-glowing vortex.

The moment their figures disappeared into the green vortex,

the staff member's gaze fell upon the name on the registration book, his brows tightly furrowed: "Ye Ze, this name seems familiar."

The next moment, he suddenly remembered Ye Ze's identity, and his face changed drastically: "I was tricked by this kid."

"Ye Ze? Isn't he that genius who awakened the Chef profession?"

He hurriedly turned back, but only saw the backs of the two who had already disappeared into the green vortex.

"A Chef and a Blacksmith, are you going into the Corpse Fiend Dungeon to die?" The staff member muttered anxiously to himself, "You'd better pray you come out alive, otherwise I'll have to teach you a good lesson."

"Wait, if they die inside, how can I teach them a lesson?"

"Sigh... forget it."

"I'll just pray they return safely."

...

The scene before them blurred for a moment, followed by a flash of white light,

When Ye Ze opened his eyes again, he found himself inside a massive factory. The air was filled with a pungent odor, and it felt as if strands of pale green mist were floating in the air.

Ye Ze suddenly remembered something and turned to ask Liu Meiqi, "Did you bring poison resistance potion?"

Liu Meiqi shook her head blankly. "She didn't."

"I forgot to remind you." Ye Ze slapped his forehead, feeling a bit annoyed. "I wonder if five bottles will be enough."

Saying this, he took out two bottles of poison resistance potion from his backpack and handed them to Liu Meiqi. "Here you go."

Liu Meiqi took the poison resistance potion, drank one bottle, and then asked, "How much is one bottle?"

Ye Ze glanced at her and replied, "1000 dragon coins."

Liu Meiqi, not wanting to take advantage of Ye Ze, said, "I'll pay you back when we get out."

Ye Ze smiled. "No problem."

Ye Ze looked around. The factory walls were embedded with dense flesh cocoon embryos, which pulsed rhythmically like beating hearts, as if they were alive.

The surface of the embryos was pale green and translucent, like sacs. Inside, the curled-up bodies of Corpse Fiends could be seen, and soft tubes extended from the tops of the flesh cocoon embryos, arranged regularly along the overhead channels, reaching deep into the factory.

Ye Ze couldn't help but exclaim, "No wonder the authorities named it the Corpse Ghoul Factory instead of calling it a Corpse Fiend nest. The Corpse Fiends here are actually produced like this."

Liu Meiqi beside him had long been scared pale by the bizarre scene before her.

Ye Ze comforted her. "Don't worry. According to the data pack on the official forum, the Corpse Fiends in the embryos haven't fully hatched yet. Even if we destroy the embryos, they will only die and won't become our enemies."

"The ones we need to deal with are those awakened 'workers'."
