159: The dust settles, the future of the losers
When that supreme Sword Intent, imbued with the power to “sever all illusions,” swept away the last resistance of Saint Arthur and others like autumn leaves, crushing their ridiculous dignity along with it, the tumultuous storm sparked by the Eye of Guixu, which had engulfed the entire Golden Generation, finally and completely settled.
The entire combat arena was enveloped in a deathly silence.
Whether it was the hundreds of thousands of spectators at the scene, already numb with shock, or the tens of billions of viewers worldwide who had witnessed this myth of “one person suppressing a generation” through global live broadcast, all of them now stared blankly, as if their Souls had been drawn out, at the sole victor standing amidst the countless “losers.”
Lin Tian slowly reined in the terrifying Aura on his body, an Aura capable of making even gods tremble; the cool “Azure Dragon” combat suit also receded like a tide, transforming back into streams of dark golden light and merging into his body.
He seemed to have merely done a trivial task, brushed off non-existent dust from his sleeve, and then slowly walked down the gladiatorial arena which he had already shattered.
His first stop was the mysterious man who was still confined in an iron cage, having quietly observed everything from beginning to end.
Lin Tian walked to the iron cage, ignoring the beast-like vigilance and ferocity emanating from the other party’s blood-red eyes.
He merely reached out and gently pressed on the indestructible cage door, crafted from a special alloy.
Click.
The massive lock, capable of withstanding the full force of an S-Class Expert, shattered in response.
He pushed open the cage door and walked in, then, under the man’s wary gaze, he said indifferently in an undeniable tone, as if announcing a pre-ordained fact:
“From now on, you belong to me.”
With that, he didn't even wait for the other party to react, directly extended a finger, and left an indelible spiritual imprint on the man's glabella, an imprint representing absolute sovereignty that no power could erase.
After doing all this, he turned around and cast his gaze towards City Lord, the City Lord, who was already ashen-faced and trembling all over.
Under Lin Tian’s indifferent gaze, City Lord felt a chill shoot from the soles of his feet to the top of his head, and he quickly forced out a smile uglier than a cry, stammering, “Lin… Your Highness Lin Tian… are… are you satisfied?”
“Not very satisfied,” Lin Tian shook his head. “My people were startled here.”
He pointed to Elizabeth and Jiang Luoling beside him.
“So…” He looked at City Lord, a cold, capitalist-like curve forming at the corner of his mouth, “…to compensate for their emotional distress, I want half of all the proceeds from this martial arts tournament.”
“Pfft—!”
City Lord felt a pang in his chest and almost spat out a mouthful of old blood!
Half the proceeds?! That was an astronomical sum that would make even a top-tier power ache!
But did he dare to say “no”?
Looking into Lin Tian’s emotionless eyes, he ultimately could only lower his proud head in humiliation and pain.
“…Yes, it’s all up to… Your Highness.”
After securing the most crucial “trophy” of this trip and delivering a small “punishment” to the previously “blind” “local tyrant,” Lin Tian began to “deal with” the other losers present… [Montage - Dealing with the Losers]
His gaze first fell upon Saint Arthur, the Eastern Divine Maiden, and the others.
Although these individuals had participated in the encirclement, their actions were still within the “rules,” driven more by a desire for benefits than by deep personal animosity.
Lin Tian did not completely eliminate these “respectable opponents.”
He merely looked at them calmly and said indifferently, “You may leave.”
His tone was like a monarch pardoning defeated captives.
Arthur and the others felt as if they had received a great amnesty. They struggled to their feet, their faces etched with bitterness and reverence. They solemnly bowed to Lin Tian, a gesture befitting peers of great power, and then, without looking back, they left in disarray, taking with them the equally severely wounded members of their respective factions.
They knew that from this day forward, as long as this man existed, they would never have a chance to rise.
Immediately after, Lin Tian’s gaze fell upon Gu Fan, the City Lord’s son, who was already slumped on the ground, pale and terrified.
Towards this “villain” who had repeatedly provoked him, was narrow-minded, and had even harbored murderous intent against him.
Lin Tian showed no mercy.
He slowly walked in front of Gu Fan, and in the man’s utterly terrified, constantly pleading gaze, he slowly raised his foot.
Then, he stomped it down on his Dantian Qi Sea.
“Crack.”
A faint sound, like the shattering of porcelain, rang out.
Gu Fan let out a bloodcurdling scream that was not human, and his entire body curled up on the ground like a shrimp drained of all its strength, twitching violently.
His cultivation had been… crippled.
“If you can’t control your mouth, then don’t speak again.”
Lin Tian retracted his foot and indifferently drew the final curtain on this clown’s fate.
As a warning to others… After justly punishing all the losers with swift and decisive action.
The entire combat arena was left with only Lin Tian’s people.
He slowly walked to his mount, Simba, the Golden Lion.
At this moment, Simba was looking solemn, confronting the mysterious man, who had just been branded with a spiritual imprint by Lin Tian and radiated a violent Aura, from a distance.
Between the two of them, an innate hostility, originating from the depths of their “ancient Divine Beast” Bloodlines, like two kings who cannot coexist, was clashing furiously, making the surrounding air incredibly tense!
One was the royal heir of the Golden Lion clan, with noble Bloodline and unparalleled dominance.
The other was a descendant of a Bloodline even more ancient, more mysterious, full of the unknown and savagery… suspected to be a Qilin.
Lin Tian looked at this dramatic scene before him, watching Simba’s “facing a formidable enemy” expression, and for the first time, a truly interested and playful smile appeared on his face.
He stepped forward, patted Simba’s massive, golden-cast head, and then glanced at the mysterious man whose eyes still held defiance and arrogance despite being branded.
He spoke with a relaxed tone, as if talking to two bickering pets at home, and said with a smile:
“From now on, you two must… ‘get along well’.”
This intriguing foreshadowing of “internal conflict” also brought a lighthearted yet lingering conclusion to this chapter of the Eye of Guixu, filled with blood and fire, slaughter and suppression.
