194: Tracking and Countermeasures

Wang Dalong sank into the soft leather seat of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, eyes closed with a look of pure bliss, humming a tuneless little ditty.

"A soft bed to sleep in, air conditioning to blow on me, and Spanish that I don't understand but sounds damn good... Hey, Brother Feng, did you see that? The flight attendant at the airport just now—her smile was so sweet, and her teeth were so white!"

Lin Feng ignored him.

He leaned against the other car door, silently watching the street scenery flash by through the thick, dark, bulletproof window.

Buenos Aires under the sun was strikingly vibrant. Graffiti on street corners, ancient buildings, girls dressed provocatively... the air carried a lazy yet passionate scent—a mix of tango, football, and grilled meat.

Everything seemed so peaceful, so beautiful.

Yet Lin Feng's attention remained locked on a small corner of the rearview mirror.

A black Ford Focus.

Ever since they left the private terminal at the airport, that car had been trailing them from a steady distance.

It blended into the endless flow of traffic, looking utterly unremarkable. However, in the past seven minutes, it had changed lanes three times, each time maintaining a distance of exactly three car lengths from them.

"Mr. Lin."

In the driver's seat, the Latino driver wearing white gloves drove without looking away, his voice coming through the car's intercom system with absolute clarity.

"There's a tail behind us. A standard two-man team, they've been following for seven minutes and thirteen seconds. Judging by their driving habits, they should be local veterans."

His tone was as calm as if he were reporting the day's weather.

The slight intoxication of Wang Dalong's bliss was instantly frightened away. He sat up straight, about to turn around and look.

"Don't turn around!"

Lin Feng's voice was equally calm, even carrying a hint of coldness.

Wang Dalong's movement froze mid-air, his neck twisted like a wind-up duck.

"Let them follow," Lin Feng said indifferently. "When we enter the city center where there's more traffic, find a clean opportunity to shake them off. Have the others follow them and scout out their background."

"Understood," the driver replied.

The black Mercedes-Benz S-Class, like a silent shark, smoothly glided into the busiest '9 de Julio Avenue' in the city center.

This road, known as the widest in the world, was currently packed with countless vehicles. The traffic speed slowed instantly, turning into a stop-and-go crawl.

Just as a traffic light turned from green to yellow, the opportunity arrived.

The driver, who had been driving steadily, suddenly became sharp and decisive in his movements!

With a flick of his wrists, he turned the steering wheel hard to the right!

"Screeech—!"

The expensive tires let out a piercing scream. The massive car body, at an extremely tricky angle, almost brushed against a bus's billboard as it forced its way from the main road into a narrow side street!

Wang Dalong didn't have time to react at all; he was thrown against the car door by the massive inertia, his face pressed out of shape.

Almost at the same time.

At the intersection where they had just cut out, another black Mercedes of the same model and color, which had been waiting there, moved with precision. In a leisurely manner like a senior's mobility scooter, it pulled right in front of that Ford Focus, completely blocking the only path for it to follow.

The entire process was smooth and seamless, coordinated perfectly. From start to finish, it took no more than five seconds.

In the rearview mirror, the Ford Focus flashed its high beams impatiently, only to be completely swallowed by the surging traffic, never to be seen again.

"Done."

The driver reported nonchalantly, as if he had merely crushed an unobservant ant.

It took Wang Dalong quite a while to peel himself off the car door. He looked at the 'tail' that had disappeared in the rearview mirror, then at the driver in front, his mouth hanging open for a long time before he finally choked out a sentence:

"This is seriously badass!"

Lin Feng didn't speak.

He closed his eyes again, leaning his body back against the soft backrest.

The enemy had come faster than he imagined! Their reactions were sharper!

From the moment they stepped onto Argentine soil, they had been completely exposed to Ouroboros's field of vision.

Secret infiltration, covert investigation... none of that existed from the very beginning.

This was a war with no secrets, played out on the opponent's home turf.

The car eventually stopped in front of a classical building full of Louis XVI-style architecture.

The Alvear Palace Hotel.

The top luxury hotel in Buenos Aires, bar none.

That Lady Elizabeth had clearly arranged everything perfectly.

A hotel manager wearing a tuxedo with slicked-back hair had long been waiting at the entrance. With a professional, impeccable smile on his face, he personally welcomed them into a presidential suite on the hotel's top floor.

After all the hotel staff had respectfully withdrawn, a man wearing a sharp suit—but with an obviously leaner and tougher build and slightly bulging temples—stepped forward and reported in a low voice.

"Mr. Lin, I am the supervisor for this security mission. You can call me Carlos."

"Regarding that Focus just now, our people checked the license plate; it belongs to a local car rental company. The renter used forged identification, so the trail went cold there."

"They are very cautious." Lin Feng walked to the large floor-to-ceiling window, hands in his pockets, looking down at the city as its lights began to flicker on.

"Yes, very cautious. They are professionally trained scouts with strong counter-reconnaissance skills." Carlos's expression was serious. "From now on, we will activate the highest level of security protocols. We have already deployed sixteen surveillance points inside and outside the hotel. All personnel entering and exiting, including waiters and visitors, will go through at least two rounds of screening. We will ensure the safety of you and Mr. Wang."

"Thank you for your hard work." Lin Feng nodded.

Carlos bowed slightly and withdrew silently, closing the door behind him.

The suite instantly became quiet.

Lin Feng just stood quietly by the window, motionless.

Below, the lights were beginning to shine.

Countless car lights and neons converged into brilliant rivers of stars, flowing slowly through the city.

He really wanted to know now how many people were watching this hotel and where the Nazis were waiting for them.
