97: Chapter 97

The Dragon race and Evil Dragons are naturally incompatible. If it weren't for Crom Cruach's sheer strength, they would have turned on each other long ago, let alone begrudgingly staying in the same place like this.

No one made a sound.

They were all waiting for the master who had summoned them today—the Red Dragon Emperor.

Before coming, they had already heard about the other world. The news had come from Tiamat, and everyone believed about seventy to eighty percent of it. After all, the aura on her was completely incompatible with this world, different from any living being here, so it didn't look made up at all.

But some things couldn't be explained clearly by Tiamat alone.

The Red Dragon Emperor, as the initiator, had to show up in person and give an explanation. They didn't want to blindly become cannon fodder and run off to die in another world.

Time passed bit by bit, and the appointed hour had long since arrived.

The Red Dragon Emperor had not appeared.

The dragons were in no hurry either. Dragons naturally had no concept of time; a bit later or earlier didn't matter to them.

They waited for about another quarter of an hour.

Just then—

A terrifying dragon pressure suddenly erupted from the horizon, pressing down like a mountain and enveloping the heads of all the high-tier dragon species.

Many dragons wanted to resist on the spot. Which high-tier dragon species didn't have their pride? They were all proud beings who yielded to no one; even if the opponent was strong, that was no reason for them to bow their heads.

But the next second, they realized something was wrong.

This dragon pressure was simply too overwhelming.

The Maou-Class dragon species didn't even have room to resist. Just as they summoned their own dragon pressure to push back, it was as if a mountain of ten thousand fathoms crashed down on them, forcing them to lie flat on the ground, unable to move at all.

Jörmungandr and Tiamat, who were of the Super Devil King Class, fared slightly better and could barely hold on.

But immediately after, waves of dragon pressure surged over like a mountain-toppling tsunami, each wave more brutal than the last.

Before long, they couldn't withstand it either.

Jörmungandr's dragon eyes were filled with sheer horror.

Is this the Red Dragon Emperor who has been stirring up storms in the Three Realms?

He was countless times stronger than it had imagined. A single person had suppressed over a hundred high-tier dragon species. Such power was something it didn't even dare to imagine.

The night sky shattered, and white light swallowed everything.

Crom Cruach was the only one who could barely hold out under Luo Yu's pressure, but he had long since lost any of his past majesty. His entire body twisted and expanded, turning into a pitch-black giant dragon, his hideous, massive maw roaring frantically at the heavens.

Boom—

Layers of white clouds were shattered to pieces, drifting away like scattered cotton scraps.

A white dragon, several times larger than Jörmungandr, slowly emerged above the dragons. As soon as it appeared, the entire world seemed to tremble, and that domineering dragon pressure made everyone's bones creak.

Crom Cruach struggled desperately a few times, but in the end, he was still pressed flat against the ground.

A tempest raged in his heart.

It had only been a few years since they last met. How had the Red Dragon Emperor become strong to this extent?

This kind of power was absolutely top-tier even among the Super Devil rank. Looking across the Three Realms, aside from the Infinite Dragon God Ophis, there were probably very few who could trade blows with him.

Crom Cruach widened his eyes, staring intently as the white dragon slowly transformed into human form.

The Red Dragon Emperor stood before the dragons like a mountain. "Too strong..."

Crom Cruach felt a bitter taste in his mouth. He had only felt this level of oppression from one other being—Shiva, the God of Destruction of the Hindu Pantheon. In other words, the Red Dragon Emperor's strength was already no weaker than Shiva's, who was second only to Ophis.

But how long had this guy even been cultivating!

Ultimately, Luo Yu was originally just a mortal who reincarnated as a dragon species to break through racial limitations. But even so, the time he had existed in this world was less than twenty years at most. To grow into such a monster in just twenty years?

The more Crom Cruach thought about it, the more he felt his many years of cultivation had all gone down the drain.

He had once been proud, feeling that reaching the Heavenly Dragon class was already an incredible feat. But compared to a freak like the Red Dragon Emperor, he was absolutely nothing.

He desperately comforted himself in his mind: not everyone could be compared to that freak.

The Red Dragon Emperor was simply a glitch in this world and could not be measured by common sense at all. Comparing oneself to him was just asking for misery.

Just like right now.

That terrifying pressure that made it impossible to lift their heads finally dissipated slowly. Crom Cruach was the first to stand up, changing back into human form.

Compared to that massive dragon body, he still preferred to walk the Three Realms in human form. In this regard, he was quite similar to Luo Yu.

The other dragon species also stood up one after another, clear displeasure written on their faces.

Not to mention these dragons, even ordinary people would be extremely frustrated after being suppressed like this for no reason. "Red Dragon Emperor, making such a grand entrance, are you trying to give us a warning blow?"

Crom Cruach was the first to speak, his tone questioning.

The expressions of the surrounding dragon species were each uglier than the last, all of them glaring at the Red Dragon Emperor.

Luo Yu, however, remained unfazed and replied directly, "I actually thought it wasn't grand enough. It's a pity you can't even withstand this level, let alone anything else."

He spared no feelings with these words, completely unconcerned about whether he would anger all the dragons.

If he didn't completely subdue these guys today, once they reached the battlefield of the other world, this group of dragons, accustomed to being lazy and undisciplined, would definitely ruin things.

What he wanted was an obedient and disciplined force, not a bunch of free-spirited troublemakers.

Sure enough, as soon as these words were spoken, the eyes of many dragon species flared with anger.

If they weren't unable to beat Luo Yu, they probably would have attacked on the spot. "It seems that in the eyes of the Red Dragon Emperor, we dragon species are all useless trash."

Crom Cruach stared at Luo Yu, saying each word deliberately. "Trash?"

Luo Yu repeated the word, curling his lips in utter disdain. "Why don't you tell me, what about you is worthy of my high regard?"

"You can't even withstand my dragon pressure. I really doubt whether you will be killed directly by those natives once you reach the other world. Don't forget, that world is not friendly to outsiders at all."

His words were like a harsh slap to the faces of all the dragon species.

Yet, the meaning behind his words sent a chill through their hearts.

Indeed, this time they were going to crusade against an invasion of another world, which was not like their past minor skirmishes, nor was it a simple war against some pantheon.

Just looking at the information Tiamat had brought back, the level of danger there was definitely not low.

If they weren't careful, they might actually face total annihilation. "I don't want to lead a group of cannon fodder to their deaths, especially the kind that dies completely in vain."

Without waiting for the dragons to flare up, Luo Yu added, "You had better remember, although I invited you here using the promises of those past dragon species as conditions, this is not some trivial matter of you returning a favor."

"This world doesn't have much time left. Before long, other powerful worlds will set their sights on this place. When that time comes, none of the Three Realms will escape."

"Think about yourselves, is there any existence in the Three Realms stronger than the True Red Dragon God Emperor?"

Luo Yu's words caused the hearts of all the dragon species present, including Crom Cruach, to sink.

They had all seen the memory images Tiamat had shown them earlier very clearly.

Just thinking back on it made their spines go cold.

Luo Yu had dealt with these dragons too much and knew them inside out.

If he didn't completely shatter the pride of these dragons this time and beat them into submission, the path ahead would likely not be smooth.

Furthermore, the great war in the Heavenly Realm was about to ignite. Luo Yu was also pondering whether he could drag this group of dragons along to fight Shiva and the others.

Of course, this was just a passing thought for now.

If it worked out, it would be the icing on the cake. If not, there was no loss.

After all, if they were truly dragged into the chaos of the Heavenly Realm, no one could guarantee escaping unscathed.

Even the victors would inevitably lose a layer of skin. Since ancient times, which great war hasn't been like this?

Even if they won with an overwhelming advantage, it was impossible to emerge completely unharmed.

If that happened, they would surely suffer a lot of losses in the subsequent crusade against the invading other world. "Right now, I don't care how much anger or how many complaints you have in your hearts, bottle them all up."

Luo Yu's eyes turned cold as he swept his gaze over the group of dragons. "Invading another world is no joke. This concerns whether this world can survive. You shouldn't be so foolish as to joke around with the world you live in, right?"

As his words fell, some dragons lowered their heads in deep thought, while the expressions of others darkened.

A few hot-tempered ones wanted to talk back, but before they could open their mouths, they were pulled back by their companions beside them.

Those hot-tempered dragons turned to look and found that the expressions on their companions' faces were equally solemn.

The words that had reached their lips were all swallowed back down.

Although they still had issues with the Red Dragon Emperor, seeing that so many of their companions actually agreed with his words,

jumping out to object at this time would be going against the entire dragon group.

Luo Yu looked at the dragons before him with their various expressions, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

It seemed that the dragon race was not entirely made up of hotheads; there were still sensible ones among them.

At least, some of them knew what needed to be done now, rather than clinging to what had just happened to argue with him.

Not long after, Jörmungandr spoke.

Knowing little about the affairs of the Three Realms, it asked Luo Yu directly:

"Red Dragon Emperor, how much confidence do you have in crusading against the invading other world?"

By asking this, Jörmungandr had essentially lowered its head completely, acknowledging Luo Yu's status.

The surrounding dragons pricked up their ears, feeling both curious and expectant.

They had all witnessed Tiamat's fate.

As one of the prestigious Five Great Dragon Kings, she had gone to invade another world, only to flee back in a wretched state, and was now even rejected and shunned by this world.

Many dragons had already examined Tiamat's physical condition.

The more time passed, the more severe the world's rejection of her became.

To put it bluntly, there were only two paths before her.

Either leave this world,

or be worn down to death by this world.

But for Tiamat, either of these paths was a dead end.

The first path sounded like it might hold a sliver of hope, but with her abilities, how could she easily break free from this world?

If even the True Red Dragon God Emperor couldn't do it, how could Tiamat, a mere Super Devil King Class being, manage it?

They followed their world to attack other worlds for the sake of survival and development.

But at the very least, they needed a reassuring answer; they couldn't just go in completely blind, not even knowing where the path ahead led.

No one wanted to end up like Tiamat. "Confidence?"

Luo Yu couldn't help but laugh, letting out an audible chuckle.

As if Jörmungandr had asked an exceptionally ridiculous, foolish question. "What's so funny?"

Jörmungandr's face fell, looking very displeased. "As expected—"

Luo Yu suddenly stopped laughing, his voice as cold as ice in the depth of winter. "You dragons know nothing. Do you really think crusading against another world is just a simple war?"

"If that's what you think, then I can only say you're destined to be cannon fodder if you go."

"Do you insist on me giving you an exact figure?"

"Then let me tell you, I don't have even a shred of confidence."

"But you must also remember—"
