60: Chapter 60: The King Gets a Slap in the Face

You did not move, just looking at him like that.

Knight Captain Eldon looked at you the same way, and he repeated what he had just said: "Hero, the King requests your presence!"

You sneered at him.

"Am I not the Hero? Tell the King to come see me!"

"You!" Knight Captain Eldon looked at you, finally cupping his hands in a salute: "Hero, Your Majesty's physical form is noble..."

"Is he nobler than me? If so, why don't you take this King to the Demon Race army and tell them that our King is noble, and they shouldn't attack us." You looked at him with a smirk: "Maybe the Demon Race army will detour."

Lorne's face turned red and then white from being choked by your words; his lips trembled for a long time, but he couldn't squeeze out a single word.

You, on the other hand, sat on the bed, legs crossed, watching him with great ease.

Lorne calmed himself down, stroked his beard, and looked at you. You could see the disdain in his eyes.

You had no idea where he got his sense of superiority from.

"I will personally deliver the Hero's words to Your Majesty," Lorne said with a cold snort.

After saying that, he was about to close the door.

You reached out and stopped him.

Without the slightest hesitation, you punched him in the face.

Lorne was immediately knocked to the ground, looking at you in disbelief.

"You!! You rustic peasant, utterly vulgar!!!" Lorne pointed at you and cursed.

You just shook your hand indifferently. Had it not been for that Goddess Formation around your neck, Lorne's head would have been blown off by that punch.

The fact that he was only bleeding from his nose now was getting off easy.

A moment later, a five-man knight squad walked in.

You recognized the person leading them; it was the Kingdom's Captain of the Knights, Knight Captain Eldon.

Knight Captain Eldon saw Lorne lying on the ground, confused as to why.

You looked at Lorne, who was on the ground, and said: "Old man Lorne, Your Majesty has already ordered me to see him, yet you insist on keeping me locked up here. Are you trying to defy the King?"

You looked at the Captain of the Knights again: "Captain of the Knights, I swear on my honor as the Hero that every word I say is true, without a single lie!"

Lorne lay on the ground, glaring at you: "You... you brat, you are full of lies, it was clearly you who—"

Before Lorne could finish his sentence, you interrupted him.

"What is it, Master Lorne? Have I said a single word from beginning to end about not wanting to see the King? It was clearly you who kept me locked up here without any explanation."

"In my opinion, to put it mildly, you just hold a grudge against me; to put it bluntly, you are showing disrespect to the King!"

You looked at the Captain of the Knights again: "Captain of the Knights, I said I could vouch for it in the name of the Hero. If you don't believe me, you can ask the Knights to use the Mirror of Truth to judge whether I am lying."

"You—!" Lorne struggled to get up from the floor, pointing a finger at you.

Knight Captain Eldon slammed his spear onto the ground, making a "thud" sound.

Everyone's gaze instantly converged on him.

Knight Captain Eldon glanced at you, then at Lorne.

To be honest, he couldn't afford to offend either of you. You were the knight sent by the Goddess, the Hero of the human world, while Lorne was of noble birth and the Kingdom's Chief Mage.

Knight Captain Eldon cupped his hands in a salute, his armor clanking: "Hero, His Majesty has been waiting for a long time."

You glanced at Lorne, who was sprawled on the ground, and smiled slightly at him.

Lorne looked at you with a livid expression.

Knight Captain Eldon reached out a hand to help Lorne up, but Lorne slapped his hand away fiercely: "You are all the same kind of peasant!"

Knight Captain Eldon's hand froze in mid-air, the expression on his face looking as if he had been slapped. But he said nothing, just silently withdrew his hand and took a step back.

You walked over to Knight Captain Eldon and patted his armor: "Let's go, didn't you say you were taking me to see the King?"

Knight Captain Eldon glanced at Lorne before saying to you: "Yes, Hero!"

Inside the Kingdom's Great Hall.

Raddon Falun was currently wearing a magnificent royal uniform, with a crown inlaid with a huge ruby on his head. He was sitting on the throne, and standing below were two rows of the Kingdom's ministers, who were also dressed gorgeously and wore badges with their Family crests.

Lorne had already arrived at the King's side.

"Your Majesty, the Hero is outside!" Knight Captain Eldon walked in front of the King and knelt on one knee.

The King raised his eyes to look at him: "Lord Eldon, you have done well. Announce the Hero to enter!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

"Announce the Hero to enter the hall—"

Knight Captain Eldon's voice echoed in the Great Hall, and the guards outside slowly pushed open the two golden doors.

You walked in slowly, looking around.

Of course, the nobles and ministers on the side were also looking at you.

The Great Hall was much more spacious than you had imagined. A huge mural was painted on the dome, depicting a giant image of a Goddess. However, in your opinion, this image was somewhat erotic; the Goddess in the painting was dressed like the women on study websites.

From the position where the King sat, one could see the full view of this Goddess just by slightly lifting one's head.

You couldn't help but sigh; this King really knew how to play!

Knight Captain Eldon, seeing you walk in, had already stood to the side, and you walked to the position where Knight Captain Eldon had just been.

You glanced at the King.

Another old man, obese, and not just ordinarily fat. The stomach in front of him could earn the title of "stomach bag," and his whole face looked like a plastic bag that had been crumpled into a ball and then opened up.

Standing next to the King was Lorne.

Just as the King was about to speak, you stepped forward and interrupted him.

"Your Majesty, I wish to report the Kingdom's Great Mage Lorne for openly defying your orders just now, so I suspect he is a treacherous villain."

"Traitor!"

"Collaborator."

"Demon Race spy!"

"Capitalist roader!"

"Nihilist!"

"Opportunist!"

"Evil wind!"

Your mouth rattled on, spouting dozens of words in a row.

If one could actually put hats on Lorne, the hats on his head would be about to pierce the dome of the Great Hall by now.

After you finished, you raised your head and looked at Lorne.

Lorne's face was livid at this moment. Although he didn't know what those words you said later meant, they didn't sound like good words.

"Nonsense! Pure nonsense!" Lorne immediately knelt before the King: "Your Majesty..."

The King waved his hand: "It's fine, Lord Lorne! I believe you."

He looked at you again: "Hero, you are truly eloquent—"

Before the King could finish his sentence, you strode up to the King and, in front of everyone, slapped him across the face.

You had already said it: even when defending, you still possessed the Physical Body strength of a Martial God.

Therefore, you actually had no need to show weakness.

"It's fine, right! Then you're fine now!" You grabbed the King by the head and slapped him across the face again!
