13: Chapter 14 Yellow Wind Ridge Part 2

Ao Lie looked up in astonishment at the demons covering the sky, appearing like pitch-black clouds.

Among them, the demons and ghosts were of various shapes and sizes, their sharp, noisy voices echoing through this world.

At their head was a weasel with a twisted face and covered in yellow fur, its teeth exposed and clicking loudly as it bit together.

He wore golden armor with a protective mirror at his chest and deer-hide boots on his feet.

His voice was like a woman's, sharp yet carrying a certain coarseness.

"Thief! To dare kill my subordinates on the territory of me, the Great Sage of Yellow Wind! State your name, and I shall leave your corpse intact!"

Yellow Wind Monster held a steel fork in his hand, pointing it at Ao Lie as he cursed angrily.

Ao Lie's heart shook, but his gaze turned cold.

The two Shadow Generals behind him also emitted a heavy Killing Intent at this moment.

"Yellow Wind Monster, I am no longer called Tiger Vanguard; I am Tiger Overlord. My master is now the Jade Dragon, Ao Lie. I advise you to behave yourself!"

Though Xiao Hei remained silent, he nodded in agreement.

Upon hearing this, the demons were filled with fury, and amidst the commotion, they began to curse Tiger Vanguard for his ingratitude.

Hearing this, Yellow Wind Monster silenced the demons' shouting. His veins bulged, but he gave Tiger Overlord an out, offering him a chance to change his mind.

But Tiger Overlord shook his head, shielding Ao Lie behind him as he raised his Twin Red Copper Blades and pointed them toward Yellow Wind Monster.

Yellow Wind Monster could no longer restrain himself and let out a great roar.

"All of you, f*cking charge! Kill them!"

In an instant, a wave of sound surged as thousands of demons charged down together, rushing toward Ao Lie without fear of death.

Xiao Hei and Tiger Overlord were about to charge forward as well, but they were stopped by Ao Lie.

Ao Lie said in a deep voice,

"You two protect me here. Let my shadows handle these demons!"

Ao Lie gave a wicked smile, a flash of madness in his eyes. He wanted to see how those people would react when over two hundred Heavenly Immortals appeared simultaneously to slaughter the demons.

"Arise!"

Suddenly, as if buildings were rising from level ground, hundreds of shadows emitting Killing Intent and a terrifying aura rose from the earth.

Each one was wrapped in dark armor; some were long-haired, some were massive, and some had bodies showing ancestral regression—they were strange and varied in every way.

But the one thing they had in common was that they were all Heavenly Immortals!

The momentum was already unstoppable. Though the demons were terrified, they were still swept forward into the Shadow Legion, into the meat grinder!

Each shadow possessed the combat power of a Heavenly Immortal, so they could each take on ten enemies. Two thousand demons facing two hundred shadows was, in reality, a match of equal strength.

But if it were that simple, it should have been a stalemate. Why, then, was it called the Shadow Meat Grinder?

Because shadows are Immortal! Because the more the shadows kill, the more their numbers grow!

For a time, the field was filled with wailing, but gradually, the sounds came to an abrupt halt.

Ao Lie shouted once more: "Arise! My shadows!"

The terrifying aura appeared once again as the shadows' flame effects spread across the ground.

In the next moment, a full two thousand two hundred Heavenly Immortal Realm shadows appeared.

Ao Lie also flew up with a wild laugh. Suppressing the surge in his cultivation, he stood upon the clouds, looking down at the now-isolated Yellow Wind Monster.

Yellow Wind Monster's eyes were full of terror, yet he forced himself to hold his ground. He was confident he could rely on the Samadhi Divine Wind to escape, so before that, he had to be certain of one thing.

Just who was Ao Lie!? His power was enough to contend with the Heavenly Dao!

But in the next moment, he no longer wanted to confirm anything; he only wanted to flee, he only wanted to live!

Ao Lie, amidst his wild laughter, released the pressure of his surging cultivation. His own Realm rose from the Middle Stage of the Heavenly Immortal Realm all the way to the Late Stage.

It didn't stop there; his cultivation surged again, breaking through from the Peak of the Heavenly Immortal Realm to the Early Stage of the Profound Immortal Realm before finally stopping.

And from the Shadow Legion behind him, hundreds of Profound Immortal auras suddenly erupted!

Even Tiger Overlord felt his strength increase significantly, breaking through the Golden Immortal Realm to reach the Taiyi Realm!

As the climb in cultivation ended, two more powerful auras came from behind Ao Lie.

Those were two powerful experts of the Taiyi Golden Immortal Realm!

That's right, it was the Monkey King and Pigsy. They had sensed the battle here and had come to help.

And this was precisely why Yellow Wind Monster wanted to flee. He wasn't afraid to fight two people of equal strength, but it was absolutely impossible for him to fight four against one.

Tiger Overlord, Xiao Hei, the Monkey King, and Pigsy—four experts with Da Luo-level combat power—stood together in formation, forcing Yellow Wind Monster to flee in panic.

"F*ck, how am I supposed to fight this! You bunch of quails are cheating!"

Yellow Wind Monster transformed into a gust of yellow wind, which carried a sour, foul stench.

Thinking of this humiliating scene, he couldn't help but feel a sense of grief. He turned his head and spat out a fierce breath, as if venting the resentment that had accumulated in his chest for a long time.

That was... the Samadhi Divine Wind! Ao Lie cried out in his heart, but he couldn't stop it...

The Samadhi Divine Wind erupted in an instant, and a sound that could shatter the heavens and split the earth spread through this world.

It was as if even the firmament would be shaken into a hole, the vibration threatening to shatter one's eardrums.

The gust of yellow, sour wind emerging from his mouth was like a gale at the seaside during a rainstorm, enough to tear a person's body apart.

Even though everyone present was an Immortal, they were still blown until their bodies ached and their bones felt as if they were about to fall apart.

Even the Monkey King's Fiery Eyes were blown until they lost their luster, turning completely dim and temporarily losing their rightful ocular Divine Ability.

Yellow Wind Monster was secretly proud, though his flight speed did not slow down in the slightest.

He shouted loudly, provocatively yelling, his body trembling with excitement because he had severely injured everyone.

"Your Grandpa Yellow is leaving! You guys can play by yourselves! Go play with yourselves wherever you want, just don't let your Grandpa Yellow see you, or I'll gift you another gust of yellow wind, hahahaha!"

The Monkey King forced himself to endure, wanting to give chase.

But through the blur, he saw that Yellow Wind Monster seemed ready to spit out the Divine Wind again, and his advancing footsteps stopped.

"This fellow is actually so troublesome. If we hadn't deliberately blocked most of the gale, this wind would have likely blown your subordinates to shreds!"

The Monkey King said in a deep voice. He chanted a mantra, and the monkey hairs that had been evenly distributed among the Shadow Legion were retracted.

Ao Lie nodded and dismissed the Shadow Legion, his mood becoming rather unpleasant at this moment.

Seeing that Yellow Wind Monster had actually escaped back to his Immortal Cave, he didn't know what to do next.

"Must I give up on this great general this time? If I go to invite that Lingji Bodhisattva, then I will never be able to obtain the Samadhi Divine Wind."

As the shadows on the field dispersed, only the four masters and disciples remained: the three including Ao Lie floating in the air, and Tang Seng, who was unconscious like he'd just finished an intense nocturnal battle.

Rain began to fall from the sky, washing away the blood on the battlefield. Demon corpses lay scattered across the ground as wind, rain, and thunder roared.

The Monkey King brought the horse over, placed Tang Seng on it, and then led the four of them back to the old man's house to settle in.

Pigsy sat at the dilapidated square wooden table, eating salted water noodles and chewing on pickled vegetables. Between loud gulps, he didn't forget to try and persuade Ao Lie.

"Second Senior Brother, since Master has already been rescued, why don't we stop bothering with that Yellow Wind Monster? You all experienced that wind; it's incredibly uncomfortable!"

The Monkey King was displeased. He frowned and cursed 'idiot,' his words remaining sharp.

"You idiot, if we don't go and defeat that Yellow Wind Monster, then how are we supposed to go to the Western Heaven to obtain the scriptures?"

Hearing this, Pigsy immediately grew anxious. He stopped eating his noodles and chewing his pickles, wiped his mouth, and also frowned.
