Chapter 109: Mirrored Perspective 2 Now that he had completed the first step with his model — the bones, he could feel the difference and changes that had occurred when he compared it to how he remembered it from before.

Not only was the structure stronger and more complicated than before, he could also notice some odd bone structures, like the sharp tips of his fingers which seemed like they could grow out to form claws, his sharp teeth and some other less obvious and more subtle details.

From this alone, Kieran had already gotten a general idea as to what his ability could be, but he was still curious as to what else he could uncover about himself the more he observed.

Now, he was moving on to the next stage—placing his organs in the appropriate locations.

Unlike the skeletal system he had spent while modeling, Kieran walked through this stage with ease placing the organs in their appropriate location and immediately, the change in the model was felt, looking more vibrant, one more step towards completion.

That wasn’t all either, he could feel a connection to his body that he hadn’t felt before, even when he had passed through this path before as a partial awakened.

The feeling was still not hard enough for him to grab onto and see for himself.

With that in mind, he moved on to the next stage which was rather complicated.

Next he had to weave his muscles, attach ligaments, add his blood vessels and make nerve connections.

This process wasn’t one he could complete in a single go just like he did with the previous two.

While the process of creating a mental model was nice, it didn’t mean it was risk free. Far from that, it felt like he was playing with his life continuously.

The first mistakes he made at this stage the first time he tried it had almost crippled him.

Depending on the degree of error and at which stage it was made, the consequences could vary from light to serious injuries.

Mistakes in the first two stages were rather light as the connection between the model and his body had just been formed and had yet to deepen.

At the third stage, the price for each mistake took a massive hike as he was at the point where he forged the deepest connection between the model and his body.

After a series of trials and several failures, Kieran finally reached success in the past and moved on to the next stage.

How did he do it? Well he came up with a four way method.

Thinking about this, he started to perspire, sweat accumulating on his forehead as he had still in the infirmary bed with closed eyes.

The four section or way method was very straightforward. He would create four different modules mirroring himself perfectly and overlay them properly.

By models, he meant models of the nervous system, transport system, muscle and structure and location.

With that, he started off with his personal favorite, the muscles and in front of him he watched as a bunch of muscle tendons wrapped around each other in patterns and shapes which constantly changed to match himself to perfection.

Kieran noticed how different his muscle striations and arrangement were now compared to before. There were also some other muscle groups he had never seen before and had just appeared with the other changes in his body.

Kieran had no idea what those muscles were for and how they were activated yet, but he didn’t bother trying. He would naturally get to understand their usage when his body guided him again.

For now, he was focused on replicating the muscle structure down to the smallest muscle fiber in his body.

About 45 minutes later, he finished perfecting the muscles, spending the most amount of time he had spent so far on a single stage.

Instead of ignoring the little fatigue which he felt, Kieran took a moment to relax and regain his mental strength again unlike he usually did.

Now that he felt good enough to continue, he moved on to the ligaments which were going to connect the muscles and bones together and completed them in about ten minutes, moving on to the next part immediately — the transport system, the blood vessels specifically.

This was the second hardest part of this stage and his least favorite.

It took him around an hour plus to finish constructing the system and thirty more minutes to give through and make any adjustments before he felt completely confident and certain he had done the right thing.

’Okayyyy...sigh!’

Kieran thought, releasing a mental sigh as he thought of the last thing to construct. The last and the most dangerous, one mistake could send him throwing up large amounts of blood with heavy internal injuries or just outrightly cripple him.

Carefully, with a mind filled with all of the possible things that could happen if he fucked this part up, Kieran proceeded with this part of the third stage, taking decivie and calculated decisions at every turn and twist.

His mind raced and clocked into overdrive as he pushed himself to the limit trying his best to see past what was visible to him.

"Hmm?"

Back in the infirmary, the warden which had been put there to monitor Kieran’s progress noticed something off from him and slowly approached.

His eyes furrowed as he saw a pitch black dot slowly take form and tiny blood red streaks revealed themselves in his hair, while the aura around him churned unnaturally.

BEEEP! BEEEP!! BEEEEPPPPP!!!!!!

The machines in the room went off in a frenzy frightening the ward who stood there petrified and unsure of what to do. He had been well just a few days ago.

In his mind, Kieran had reached a critical point, his face exuding something that had long since surpassed concentration.

With calm and decisive moves he brought all four models he had made and overlapped them on the main model of himself while making instant adjustments at the speed of his thoughts, trying to balance and perfect the whole system before it connected to his body.

"Huuu!"

Kieran’s body released a deep breath and all the transformations on him stopped and reverted and the noises from the machines calmed down, going back to their normal rate.

He had succeeded at the most difficult part!!
