2: Chapter 2 I Can't Bear It Anymore
Wan Chaoren's laser eyes were accompanied by intense electromagnetic radiation and extremely high thermal energy.
At close range, feelings of dizziness, nausea, and tinnitus surged one after another; Chen Moxuan felt the whole world spinning.
Before Chen Moxuan could recover, another airburst sounded, and the classroom windows instantly shattered into countless fragments flying everywhere.
Enduring the discomfort, Chen Moxuan stood up to observe his surroundings.
A burly man had appeared inside the classroom at some point, holding a student with one hand.
There was a charring hole in the student's chest; their eyes were vacant, and all signs of life were gone.
Confirming the student was dead, Wan Chaoren casually tossed the corpse aside and spoke into the miniature earpiece in his ear:
"Target eliminated. Requesting return."
"Understood. Personnel will arrive shortly to clean up the scene."
Due to Chen Moxuan's desperate shouting, most students had ducked in time to avoid the impact, but some were still left bloodied by glass shards.
One student, though lying down, had the clothes on his back ignited by the thermal energy because he was too close to the laser eyes.
"Argh! It's so hot!"
The student writhed on the ground, trying to extinguish the flames.
This student's name was Peng Jie, a close friend of Chen Moxuan; he was the first person to visit after Chen Moxuan's car accident.
Chen Moxuan stood up shakily, wanting to go over and help Peng Jie put out the fire, but was knocked off balance by a sudden gust of wind.
With a wave of Wan Chaoren's hand, a hurricane formed and blew out the flames on Peng Jie's back.
But Peng Jie was also swept up by the hurricane and tumbled several times; glass shards on the ground pierced his body, making him grimace in pain.
Chen Moxuan stared blankly at the tragic scene around him as a ringing in his ears started, accompanied by auditory hallucinations like demonic whispers.
He didn't understand the language of the hallucinations, but an unknown, dark rage surged in his heart.
In the analysis of his Special Ability, Wan Chaoren had a very high degree of control over his own powers.
Whether it was the laser eyes or the fire extinguishing, it was all just Wan Chaoren acting on a whim, completely indifferent to the lives of these students!
Chen Moxuan glared at Wan Chaoren's back as he prepared to leave leisurely, the fire of anger in his heart ready to burst forth.
But due to the nature of his Special Ability, Wan Chaoren was a nearly perfect being in all aspects even among A-Rank Transcendents.
In his perception, Chen Moxuan's hostility was exceptionally glaring amidst the surrounding panic and fear.
He turned his head and met Chen Moxuan's gaze directly, looking down with slight curiosity at this weak creature who dared to show him hostility.
Seeing this, Teacher Ma crawled frantically to Chen Moxuan's side and kept smiling apologetically at Wan Chaoren:
"My lord, he was in a car accident recently and isn't thinking clearly. Please don't lower yourself to his level."
As he spoke, Teacher Ma pressed his hand on Chen Moxuan's back, wanting him to apologize as well, but found that this normally frail-looking body was bursting with a powerful strength from somewhere.
Teacher Ma hurried to whisper in Chen Moxuan's ear:
"Looking a Transcendent directly in the eyes with hostility is seen as defiance."
"I know you're angry, but endure your emotions for now and quickly bow your head to apologize!"
The voice was quiet, but it couldn't escape Wan Chaoren's keen hearing.
He enjoyed the farce, pointed to the letter 'O' logo on his chest, and smiled slightly:
"One for all, all for one."
"I saw this quote in a book from before The Great Annihilation Period. I liked it, so I used it as my endorsement slogan."
"My friend, if you have any questions about my methods, you can provide feedback to the Hero Association. You also know my hero title."
Wan Chaoren's smile was analyzed in Chen Moxuan's eyes, with words of information jumping across his vision.
Hypocrisy, contempt, ridicule.
Chen Moxuan took a deep breath, suppressing the emotions that had almost spiraled out of control due to long-term mental exhaustion.
He looked away, no longer staring directly at Wan Chaoren.
He could vaguely hear the strong wind howling through the broken windows and walls, making Wan Chaoren's cape flutter loudly.
However, at that moment, Wan Chaoren's figure, which was about to leave, suddenly froze. He slowly turned his head and smiled:
"On second thought, you really should just die."
Wan Chaoren's smile was exceptionally chilling; in his eyes, Chen Moxuan, who had shown him disrespect for even a moment, could only be a corpse.
Human senses are actually very keen; the five senses—sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell—constantly explore surrounding information to identify danger.
Ordinary people need time for their brains to analyze and process this information, but Chen Moxuan's Special Ability completed the analysis instantly and issued a warning.
[Warning! The abdomen is about to suffer a massive impact]
Before Chen Moxuan's body could react.
An afterimage flashed, and in the next instant, Wan Chaoren was in front of him.
The fist, clad in a red glove, made the air vibrate suddenly as it slammed hard into his abdomen.
Chen Moxuan's body was immediately sent flying uncontrollably until his back slammed heavily against the wall; bricks crumbled, and dust cascaded down.
"Chen Moxuan!" Teacher Ma cried out in terror.
He knew Wan Chaoren might be angered by Chen Moxuan's behavior, but he never expected that in front of so many people, Wan Chaoren would openly move to kill.
Dark red blood sprayed from his mouth. Before his consciousness completely dissipated, Chen Moxuan desperately raised his head.
What he saw was Wan Chaoren's cold eyes and Teacher Ma's terrified, helpless expression.
Exhausting his last bit of strength, Chen Moxuan shakily raised his right hand and silently flipped Wan Chaoren the middle finger.
...
Darkness, endless darkness.
Chen Moxuan felt himself falling continuously through the darkness.
Past experiences flashed through his mind scene by scene.
He came from an ordinary family and was an obedient, honest child in his parents' eyes.
He followed the standard path of schooling, then entered society and found a job that others considered decent.
His parents often told him 'to suffer a loss is a blessing'; his teachers taught him 'when Heaven is about to place a great responsibility on a person, it must first test their resolve'; his boss told him 'keep at it, and a promotion and raise are just around the corner.'
Chen Moxuan listened to it all and endured it all.
Enduring until the end, he left behind an unpaid mortgage and, after waking up from a late-night overtime shift, arrived in this world of Transcendents.
The people in this world seemed accustomed to being naturally inferior and constantly advised him to join them.
He spent six muddled years here; even the Special Ability he unexpectedly awakened ten days ago was more of a negative status for him.
It left him listless every day, his brain feeling like it was stuffed with excessive clutter, overwhelmed.
Under the analysis of [All-Things Calculation], Chen Moxuan knew very well how terrifying the Transcendent he faced was.
But in this second life, if he still had to bow his head and endure things he couldn't stand, living like this was quite meaningless.
His accumulated emotions exploded at that moment.
His biggest regret was not carrying out the anger in his heart to the end; even if it were useless, he should have at least spat at that animal.
A sliver of light appeared in the darkness. Chen Moxuan struggled continuously, wanting to break free from the darkness and grab that ray of light.
"Power..."
"If there's another chance, I want to be so powerful that I don't have to tolerate any injustice, powerful enough to live as I please."
There is no end to suffering; one can only save oneself.
Chen Moxuan suddenly reached out and grabbed the light.
As the light was held in his palm, like dawn dispersing the night, a bright world suddenly appeared before his eyes.
"Next up, Lin Muhan of Tianqing Martial Arts School versus Chen Moxuan of Henghuo Martial Arts School. Both sides, bow!"
An unfamiliar place, a piercing broadcast, bright lights.
"Where is this?" Chen Moxuan looked bewildered.
He noticed a young girl standing in front of him with shoulder-length short hair, a pretty face, and a hint of coldness in her eyes.
The girl was looking down at her chest, her eyes filled with disbelief.
Chen Moxuan quickly realized that this was probably related to his right hand being pressed against her chest.
"...Sorry." Under the girl's increasingly icy gaze, Chen Moxuan quickly let go and took a few steps back.
"What on earth is going on?"
A series of nonsensical events left Chen Moxuan somewhat confused.
Suddenly arriving in a strange place, with a beautiful girl appearing before him.
Didn't I just take a punch from that animal and was on the verge of death?
He then suddenly lifted his shirt halfway to check his abdomen, revealing fair and firm abdominal muscles.
"Holy crap!" Chen Moxuan couldn't help but exclaim.
Setting aside the fact that his abdomen was perfectly fine, when did he get an eight-pack?
Furthermore, the clothes on his body had changed into a white uniform with orange-red stripes, and a Hengdao was slung across his waist.
Completely different from his previous attire.
Transmigrated again?
Chen Moxuan could sense that his body was completely different, but his Special Ability still existed.
His expression was somewhat dazed, and then countless memories surged from his brain like a tide.
