132: Chapter 132 Reconciliation and the Final Promise

Sang Qing shook her head with a smile, her eyes complex. "But I was really angry that day. I'm afraid such a thing will happen again."

"Actually, it's normal for mates to have conflicts, but my personality can be stubborn sometimes, so it's not that easy for me to stop being angry!"

Seeing them suffer during this time didn't feel good for her either.

But remembering the scenes of them arguing gave her a headache.

She didn't like it, but even though she'd said it countless times, they still went their own way.

Their love for her was real, but their tendency to lose their tempers was also real.

This behavior was something she couldn't tolerate.

So, she stopped forcing the issue.

"...Sister, I understand how you feel." Zhou Wanwan looked at her with a troubled face and explained patiently, "They are beastmen; their innate wildness cannot be eliminated."

"Fu Ning hurt you that day, so he's definitely more upset than you are. If you want to let off steam, you really have to just go ahead and beat them up."

"Anyway, they're thick-skinned and tough. Nothing will happen to them even if you hang them up and give them a thrashing."

"Instead of being so sad, it's better to be more open-minded. Look at us; we met with an accident in our past lives before we could enjoy ourselves. If we think too much in this life, we'll waste this wonderful time."

At any rate, she was beautiful and powerful, and her mates were so handsome; she couldn't let them just be decorations and go to waste.

Sang Qing gave a gentle smile and sat down beside her. "What you said makes a lot of sense."

Perhaps she was just stuck in a dilemma of her own making.

Zhou Wanwan took her hand and spoke coaxingly, "Give them another chance so you don't both keep being sad. Getting along between beasts is a process of mutual adjustment. For the sake of them being willing to give everything for you, soften your heart one more time—the last time."

"If they dare to do it again, I promise I won't speak up for any of them."

If there were a next time, let alone Sang Qing, she would personally give them several beatings and then kick them out of Beast King City.

Sang Qing was stunned for a moment and fell silent as if deep in thought.

Getting no response, the group of beasts eavesdropping outside the house scratched their heads in anxiety, only to accidentally push the door open.

Herman, who was at the bottom, fell flat on his face and was then pressed down by the other males on top of him, feeling as if his bones were about to break.

The other beasts suddenly lost their support and fell as well. Luckily, they had Herman as a cushion. Although their movements were comical, no one was hurt.

They hurriedly scrambled up, stood in a row, and looked at Sang Qing pitifully.

"!!!!"

Sang Qing pressed her temples and looked at Zhou Wanwan in confusion.

Zhou Wanwan timidly rubbed the tip of her nose and looked away. "I didn't tell them to eavesdrop."

"Qing Qing, we just couldn't help ourselves from eavesdropping." Herman clutched his chest, grimacing in pain, and looked at Sang Qing with flickering, innocent eyes, putting on the look of a poor little thing who had been bullied.

The other three beasts nodded along, standing against the wall like idiots.

"Then I'll head back first. You guys talk slowly and nicely." Seeing this, Zhou Wanwan gave a knowing smile and quickly stood up, not intending to stay as a third wheel.

She ran off quickly, and the two parties in the room couldn't help but lock eyes.

The four beasts opposite her grinned foolishly, their eyes full of expectation.

Sang Qing's face turned cold. "Get out!"

Don't give her those silly grins; she hadn't said she'd forgiven them.

"We're not going!"

To her surprise, the beasts exchanged glances and then collectively slid onto their knees before her. Two grabbed her hands and two hugged her legs, with a clear division of labor.

"Qing Qing, don't be angry anymore. We know we were wrong."

"Qing Qing, Qing Qing."

"Qing Qing, you can hit me. I won't make a sound."

"That's right, that's right. Anyway, Fu Ning is thick-skinned; he can take it. Don't treat us like this anymore."

"Qing Qing, please. Just listen to Wan Wan and forgive us this once. We promise we'll never fight or raise a hand again."

"I swear to the beast god, Qing Qing, believe me. I really don't want to lose you."

Sang Qing's whole body stiffened instantly, feeling as if a hundred ducks were quacking in her ears.

The beasts held her, pressing their bodies against her, crying so miserably that her newly changed clothes were soaked in no time.

Anyone who didn't know better would think she had died.

Sang Qing felt irritated listening to them; her head was about to explode.

She didn't know who had given them this idea.

"Enough!"

Sang Qing gritted her teeth, feeling like she was about to be squeezed into a meat patty by them.

But they were still crying, immersed in their own world and unable to stop.

"I said, enough!" Sang Qing roared.

The room fell silent instantly.

Hiss, the Little Cubs in her belly were startled and unconsciously kicked their Mother.

Sang Qing clutched her belly and let out a muffled groan, her expression changing slightly.

However, shouting it out did make her feel much better.

Seeing her face tighten, the beasts immediately crowded around her, staring at her nervously.

"Qing Qing, are you okay?" Xuan Xiao's hand trembled as he reached out to touch her belly. Coincidentally, he was kicked as well.

This wasn't the first time he'd felt it, but it was still wonderful.

The corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

Sang Qing stood up while supporting her waist and glanced at them. "Get out. I want to rest."

Bang!

The group of beasts, kicked out once again, stood at the door looking at each other.

What should they do? They still hadn't gotten Qing Qing to forgive them.

At this rate, in less than two months, they would lose their mate completely.

O beast god, please help them.

The beasts stood at the door dejectedly and let out heavy sighs.

Suddenly, a muffled and suppressed sound of crying came from inside the room.

Xuan Xiao felt anxious; he had never seen his mate cry before, let alone so sorrowfully.

He wanted to open the door and go in, but unfortunately, it was locked.

Herman didn't care about any of that and simply burst through the door in a panic.

"Qing Qing!!"

After a sorrowful cry, Sang Qing slowly shifted her mindset, managed her emotions, and sat down to formally talk with them.

Looking at the males sitting on either side of her and seeing their haggard faces and worried eyes, Sang Qing lowered her gaze and said in a neutral tone, "This is the last time I'll say this to you: don't raise a hand or argue in front of me ever again. Can you do that?"

She thought that she really had changed.

She didn't know if this decision was good or bad, but she had finally overcome her internal obstacle.

"Yes!" Their voices were in unison and deafening.

Xuan Xiao swore that he would definitely keep an eye on that bastard Fu Ning.

Fu Ning's voice was the loudest; he was truly scared and never wanted to experience something like this again.

In the future, if he got angry, he would just hide away and never let his mate see it.

Sang Qing's lips thinned into a line, and the frost in her eyes still hadn't thawed. "If there is a next time, whether you live or die, I won't soften my heart in the slightest."

Knowing that their mate wasn't joking, the beasts felt a sudden chill down their spines.

They quickly shook their heads, all stating there wouldn't be a next time.

No kidding, there would definitely not be a next time.

The ice in the family had finally broken.

The atmosphere gradually improved, but Sang Qing was still a bit resistant to them and still preferred to come and go alone.

In the evening, it started to rain heavily. Aqi was brought back from outside by Sa Yu, looking listless and dejected.

"What's wrong, Aqi?" Sang Qing was playing with the Little Cubs. Seeing the wounds on Aqi's face and body, she immediately stood up and asked in confusion.

"It's nothing, Sister Sang Qing. I just took a fall while chasing a wild beast." Aqi rubbed his head and gave an embarrassed smile.

The rain was too heavy today, severely obstructing his vision. While chasing the beast, his wings stiffened, and he fell.

Fortunately, Brother Sa Yu saved him.

"Are you really okay? Do you want to go see the witch doctor?" Sang Qing frowned in concern.

"Brother Sa Yu already took me. The witch doctor said I'm fine." Aqi gave a simple smile and looked at Sa Yu gratefully.

Sang Qing reached out to pat his head, only to get a hand full of rainwater. "Mm, then go change your clothes quickly. We're about to eat."

Sa Yu, who was ignored on the side, had a face so long it looked like he was about to cry: ...What to do? His mate didn't care about him at all anymore, and his clothes were wet too.

"Qing Qing..." He reached out and pitifully tugged at his mate's hem. Raindrops fell from his face, rolling down his chin onto his well-defined, sturdy muscles, slowly sliding down.

He blinked his eyes, fine raindrops still clinging to his upturned eyelashes. Coupled with his clingy and innocent gaze, it really made one unable to help but feel pity.

Sang Qing relaxed her brow and brushed his hand away. "Go change your clothes. Are you waiting for me to change them for you?"

Only then did Sa Yu cheer up, quickly scurrying upstairs to change and come back down.

It was just a pity. In the past, his mate would have personally dried his hair for him.

Sigh, now he didn't even dare to think about it.

The Merfolk Clan had a natural affinity for water. Whenever it rained, Fu Ning liked to go out and play.

Today was no exception.

Since Xuan Xiao was cooking, he took advantage of the rain to visit the residential area.

Fu Yu had settled down in Beast King City with his mate who had just given birth. Fu Ning had been busy with family matters before and hadn't visited Fu Yu's cubs yet, so now that he had time, he often ran over there.

After seeing the cubs, he went to the river to catch some Prickly Beasts, thinking of eating them tomorrow.

By the time he returned home, it was just in time for dinner.

In the family, except for Fu Ning and Sang Qing, the other males could actually go several days on one meal. However, to accommodate Sang Qing and to spend more time with her, their eating habits had also changed.

Sang Qing looked at the food piled high in her bowl, the corners of her mouth twitching.

And on the floor, the three Little Cubs were each hugging a large leg and gnawing away.

It smelled so good; they really wanted to eat too.

Now, just drinking milk was no longer enough to satisfy their appetites. They could already eat things like meat paste and minced meat. It was just that even though they had clearly just eaten a meal, they were hungry again when their Father and Mother were eating.

They were truly insatiable little pigs; Sang Qing was speechless.

In the evening, coming out of the bathroom, Sang Qing saw a large red fox rolling around on the bed as if having a fit, and a black line appeared on her forehead.

"Why are you here?"

The jubilant Herman was fantasizing about the sweet scene when they slept together later that night. Suddenly hearing Sang Qing's voice, he was so startled that he jumped up from the bed and transformed into human form.

He ran toward Sang Qing with a silly grin, his eyes crinkling with joy. "It's my turn to accompany you tonight, so of course I'm here."

Actually, that wasn't it. It was because that group of cowards was afraid and pushed him out to lead the way, wanting to test their mate's current level of tolerance.

How irritating!

But he was willing.

After throwing a flirtatious wink, he snatched the towel from Sang Qing's hand and began to dry her hair for her.

After applying body lotion, Sang Qing slowly moved onto the bed, picked up the skill book lying on the side, and continued reading.
