3: Chapter 3 Purification Carving Knife, Blade of Life

After paying the money and taking the spirit-devouring engraving knife from the auction house, Mu Qingci immediately set off on the road back to the Sun Moon Empire.

After another half-month of travel, Mu Qingci returned to the house in the small town he had previously lived in within the Sun Moon Empire. He had bought it with money robbed from mountain bandits, and it was located in a remote area where no one would disturb him.

Back in his house, Mu Qingci took out the transparent box containing the spirit-devouring engraving knife from his storage spirit tool.

To be safe, Mu Qingci released his Spirit. Holding the Hades Sword in his hand gave him a sense of security.

He summoned an Undead Knight and had it go up to open the box.

Subsequently, Mu Qingci released his Underworld Rebirth Domain, ready to support the Undead Knight at any moment.

Upon receiving the order, the Undead Knight walked straight over and opened the box.

The moment the box opened, it was as if some seal had been broken. An extremely cold aura burst out from the newly opened gap, instantly filling the entire room.

Mu Qingci was not significantly affected, perhaps due to holding the Hades Sword in his hand. The Undead Knight even sent a signal of comfort to Mu Qingci; this cold aura made the Undead Knight feel comfortable.

Mu Qingci slowly walked to the front of the box, dismissed the Undead Knight, and then reached out to touch the spirit-devouring engraving knife.

At that moment, time seemed to slow down with his movements. What should have been an action completed in an instant felt as if it would take years, or even decades.

After all, one only has one life. For such a long-dormant malevolent object, one naturally had to be extremely cautious.

With Soul Power possessing the death attribute covering his hand, Mu Qingci finally made up his mind and grasped the spirit-devouring engraving knife.

An extremely evil aura followed his palm and invaded his body.

But the demon that rushed into his body did not gloat for long. It was as if a novice little demon had encountered a Demon King, and it immediately became docile. This was absolute attribute suppression, the pride originating from the source of the Hades Sword Spirit.

After feeling that he could suppress the other party, the fear in Mu Qingci's heart dissipated significantly.

He picked up the spirit-devouring engraving knife, feeling like a monarch ruling the World facing a subject.

Soul Power was injected into the spirit-devouring engraving knife unconsciously, and it was unexpectedly smooth.

Mu Qingci attempted to absorb the power of the curse within the engraving knife. The Hades Sword, as if it had seen delicious food, autonomously floated beside the spirit-devouring engraving knife and began to frantically draw out the curse power within.

As the curse power was absorbed bit by bit by the Hades Sword, the originally ink-green spirit-devouring engraving knife began to change in appearance.

A rich aura of life radiated out as the ink-green color transformed into green.

One hour later, the spirit-devouring engraving knife had completely changed its appearance.

It had become a crystal-clear, light-green engraving knife that looked as transparent as jade. It radiated a rich aura of life. Just by staying near it for a while, Mu Qingci felt every cell in his body cheering and leaping, enjoying the baptism of an ocean of life.

He was surprised to discover that after absorbing the curse power of the spirit-devouring engraving knife, his Soul Power had risen from level 37 to level 38, and he felt no discomfort at all.

The spirit-devouring engraving knife could no longer be called that; it should be called the Blade of Living Beings.

Mu Qingci did not dare to rashly place it against his forehead, so he simply placed it in front of him to absorb the life force bit by bit.

After meditating like this for an entire night, Mu Qingci felt completely refreshed, and his cultivation speed was much faster than usual.

Just as he was about to get up to wash and welcome the new day, his vision suddenly went black.

When he opened his eyes again, he had arrived in a strange blue World.

It was like a calm ocean, and in front of him was a gray sphere of light.

Mu Qingci did not panic. After simply looking around, he realized where he had arrived: his own Sea of Spirit.

Subsequently, he looked at the gray sphere of light in front of him and recognized the other party's identity: the famous Necromantic Holy Law God, the Undead Scourge, Electrolux.

"I truly didn't expect that a wisp of my soul fragment would be able to survive in this World. Young man, it seems it was you who attracted me."

A blurry figure suddenly appeared in front of the gray sphere of light; one could vaguely discern that it was an old man.

Hearing the old man in front of him suddenly speak, Mu Qingci, after a brief moment of shock, quickly organized his thoughts and gave a prepared answer.

"I have long heard of the Undead Scourge's great name. I didn't expect to actually meet you today."

Anyway, the other party was a variable in the original work. It was assumed that he was not within Tang San's monitoring scope, so some things could be revealed to him from a different perspective.

"Oh? How do you recognize me? My current memory is severely fragmented. Apart from my own name and a few skills, I truly don't remember anything else."

Mu Qingci's tone was respectful yet firm, making one feel the urge to believe him upon hearing it.

"Junior is the same as you; I arrived in this World by chance. In the World I originally came from, your glorious deeds were circulated: Necromantic Holy Law God, the Undead Scourge, Electrolux."

Mu Qingci said this very vaguely, only telling Electrolux that he himself did not belong to this World, without saying exactly which World he came from.

Upon hearing this, Electrolux's gray phantom nodded slightly, accepting this answer.

"Then, young man, what is your purpose in attracting me here?"

Before Mu Qingci could answer, Electrolux continued: "According to my original path, I should have entered the body of another youth. It was you who released the power of the Undead attribute, which attracted me. I assume you did this intentionally, and I want to know your purpose."

Mu Qingci gave a wry smile in his heart: "As expected, the older one is, the more cunning they are. How could I, a modern transmigrator, outplay this expert who has touched the realm of gods?"

Mu Qingci forced himself to calm down and continued to reply: "As I said before, I have long admired your great name. After recognizing your aura, I made the move to attract you because I want to follow you and learn the great Necromancy, allowing your skills to be carried forward in this World!"

Mu Qingci spoke these words with great fervor, and even Electrolux was moved upon hearing them.

"I didn't expect that after arriving in this World, I would be lucky enough to meet a little fellow like you. Very well, since you are sincerely seeking knowledge, and I have nowhere else to go, I will take you as my disciple and teach you Necromancy. It's just that I am currently only a wisp of a soul fragment, and my memory of Necromancy is not very complete. I can only teach you after I have recovered some of it."

Upon hearing this, Mu Qingci was incredibly excited. His spiritual body hurriedly knelt down toward the gray phantom in front of him: "Teacher, please accept this disciple's bow!"

He was secretly delighted. The first powerful figure he needed to rely on since arriving in this World had finally been secured. This was a god-level expert! Not to mention those profound and powerful Necromancy spells, just the Undead Semi-Plane alone had endless uses, which Mu Qingci had been coveting for a long time.
