71: A feast of slaughter and the wailing of ants

Boom!

If the previous verdict was a precise surgical knife aimed at Dragon Aotian,

then these words were an indiscriminate, apocalyptic catastrophe that covered all survivors!

Just as everyone had breathed a sigh of relief when Dragon Aotian activated his shield, their hearts were once again gripped tightly by an invisible hand, almost exploding from their throats!

"No... don't!"

"Heaven's Choice, my lord! I was wrong! I was truly wrong! I'm willing to offer all my resources! Please, spare my life!"

"We were misled! We never wanted to be your enemies! It's the Phoenix Empress! It's all her fault!"

The channel was instantly flooded with incoherent pleas and heart-wrenching wails.

Those SS-rank and A-rank powerhouses, who once lorded over their respective territories, were now as humble as worms in the dust, using every word they could think of to beg for the silent god's forgiveness.

However, Lin Feng's gaze did not linger for even a fraction of a second.

His will, like the gaze of the God of Death, slowly swept across the member list of the Demon-Slaying Expeditionary Force, one by one.

It was an extremely cold scrutiny.

Like a butcher, selecting livestock to slaughter tonight.

Every ID his gaze swept over, its owner, in their fortress, felt as if they had fallen into an ice cellar, their bodies rigid, their hearts having stopped beating.

That wasn't selecting.

That was calling out names.

Finally, his will settled on the sword emblem of Swift Wind Swordsman, which still glowed with SS-rank light.

...

Inside Swift Wind Swordsman's fortress.

This swordsman, known for his speed and elegance, was now slumped on his throne, his face ashen, his hands trembling like the last leaf in a downpour.

He watched with wide eyes.

That blood-red attack notification, representing "Heaven's Choice," slowly popped up inch by inch in the center of his screen, like a death warrant from hell.

"No..."

A desperate, inarticulate wail of despair escaped his throat.

The next second.

Thunder descended.

This could not even be called a battle.

It was a complete, one-sided... cleanup.

When Leiting Zhanshen, accompanied by Thunder Dragon, descended upon Swift Wind Swordsman's Japanese-style bamboo arrow tower formation, like a god and His world-destroying creation,

the outcome was already sealed.

Swift Wind Swordsman's pride was a super long-range firepower network composed of the Archer Queen and countless X-Heavy Crossbows, combined with Hell Towers.

His hero, Windranger, possessed the powerful abilities of full-map support and extreme attack speed.

Theoretically, this defensive system was enough to turn any ground force into a pile of rotten flesh from dense arrow rain halfway to the target.

Unfortunately.

He was facing Lin Feng.

"Roar—!"

Thunder Dragon didn't even bother with the arrow rain that pricked its scales like mosquito bites.

It simply raised its mountain-like head slightly and took a deep breath.

Then, it unleashed a chain lightning that spanned the entire battlefield, so thick it blotted out the sky!

Zzzzzzzzzzz—!

The blue-white electric light, like a living, world-destroying serpent, wildly leaped and spread between countless defensive towers and units with an unreasonable ferocity!

Those seemingly tough bamboo arrow towers, along with the graceful Archer Queens on them, were as fragile as paper in the face of this pure destructive power.

They were instantly pierced and ignited by the electric light, shattering into flying charcoal in large swaths!

With just one strike.

Half of Swift Wind Swordsman's painstakingly managed defensive zone was turned into a scorched earth ravaged by lightning, with a pungent, burning smell.

And Leiting Zhanshen, from beginning to end, simply stood quietly in the starting area.

The Storm Axe in his hand was not even raised.

He was like a cold supervisor, watching his pet perform an efficient yet tedious clearing operation.

In less than thirty seconds.

Swift Wind Swordsman's main fortress was crushed into dust by the Thunder Dragon's mountain-like giant claw.

Ding! You have successfully destroyed the fortress of Lord "Swift Wind Swordsman"!

Gold obtained: 62,100

heavy oil obtained: 35,500

Lin Feng closed the settlement panel expressionlessly.

His will, without the slightest pause, precisely locked onto the next target like an assembly line.

Iron Wall.

This SS-rank talent user followed an extreme defensive style diametrically opposed to Swift Wind Swordsman. His fortress was a steel stronghold composed of countless layers of thickened walls and heavy cannons, and his hero, Mountain King, possessed powerful crowd control and life-saving skills like throwing stun and Avatar.

However, in the face of absolute power, the so-called "Iron Wall" was merely a self-deceiving joke.

This time, Leiting Zhanshen didn't even summon the dragon.

He simply activated Thunder Storm by himself.

Violent thunderclouds instantly enveloped the entire fortress, and billions of lightning bolts rained down from the sky, furiously striking the so-called sturdy city walls andfort.

Under the continuous electric shock of the [Paralysis] effect, the Mountain King, raising his warhammer, tried to activate "Avatar," but was interrupted again and again, and finally couldn't even make a last struggle before being electrocuted to death on his throne.

Subsequently, Leiting Zhanshen strolled forward leisurely.

The Storm Axe in his hand, like a demolition hammer, smashed the cannons that had lost their hero's protection into scrap metal with ease, one axe at a time.

Third target.

Holy Light Priest.

His defensive system was centered around a massive amount of healing totems and the Oracle hero's group healing and resurrection skills, allowing him to summon stone giants and an undead army countless times, wearing enemies down to death.

A very clever tactic.

Unfortunately, in the face of absolute law, it was meaningless.

Lin Feng didn't even bother to step into that holy land.

A card quietly lit up.

Ice Spell.

Winter descended, and a giant ice-blue magic circle precisely covered the holy land.

All the healing totems, along with the Oracle holding his staff, were instantly frozen into lifelike ice sculptures.

Eternal vitality was replaced by eternal silence.

Lin Feng's gaze fell upon the Altar, which he considered his last hope, capable of resurrecting units.

A single thought.

Above the sky, Thunder Dragon opened its giant mouth.

A destructive dragon's breath precisely evaporated the altar along with his last hope.

The core of the strategy was instantly wiped out.

What remained was a harvesting without suspense.

The three massacres combined took less than five minutes.

On Lin Feng's resource panel, the amount of gold and heavy oil each surged by over 150,000.

And in the Demon-Slaying Expeditionary Force channel, the wails and pleas that had been frantically spamming the screen abruptly ceased.

Dead silence.

More complete and suffocating than any previous instance.

If their fear of Heaven's Choice before was still at the level of "powerful" and "unbeatable,"

then now, this fear had escalated into a pure helplessness and despair, emanating from the depths of their souls, when facing a "natural disaster."

He wasn't fighting.

He was cleaning up trash.

Like a god, wiping away stains accidentally acquired in his divine realm, his movements skilled, his expression indifferent, without the slightest emotional fluctuation.

Finally, after a minute of dead silence, an ID, in a tone close to collapse and trembling, sent a message.

It was Zhinang.

Zhinang: "Heaven's Choice... my lord. We... we surrender. We are willing to disband the Expeditionary Force, and from now on, we will revere you, serve you, with no second thoughts. We only ask that you... spare our lives."

His words were like a life-saving straw, instantly igniting everyone's will to survive.

Holy Light Priest: "Yes! Heaven's Choice, my lord! We are willing to submit! We can become your most loyal subordinates!"

Flame Mage: "My talent is to increase spell damage! I can research more powerful spells for you! Please don't kill me!"

Suddenly, the tone in the channel changed drastically.

Pleading turned into allegiance.

Everyone desperately displayed their last value, like a group of slaves for sale, humbly begging, hoping to exchange it for a glimmer of life.

They waited nervously, awaiting the final judgment of that god.

However, Lin Feng's reply was like a basin of ice water from the Nine Nether Abyss, completely extinguishing the last faint glimmer that had just ignited in their hearts.

Heaven's Choice: "Serve?"

A simple rhetorical question, yet it carried mockery enough to freeze the soul.

Heaven's Choice: "If I let you go, when you later by chance have the opportunity to become stronger, will you truly and sincerely spare me?"

His words were like a heavy hammer, striking hard at everyone's heart.

Heaven's Choice: "This world..."

Lin Feng paused, giving them a second to savor the despair.

Heaven's Choice: "Only the dead are the most reliable."
