163: Chapter 163 Goodbye, Doraemon!

The entrance to the Chaos Labyrinth was not a traditional door, but a twisted, indeterminate dark purple vortex, standing like a giant, slowly rotating nebula on a ruined altar in the ancient city.

The space around the vortex fluctuated slightly, emitting a chaotic Aura strong enough to make the mentally weak feel dizzy.

This journey had been surprisingly "peaceful."

The Abyssal monsters and dark NPCs that usually lurked in the shadows, eyeing passersby with greed, seemed to have collectively vanished.

Occasionally, a few reckless ones would peek out, but upon seeing Lu Chen's highly recognizable face and the Void Realm behind him—which looked like it could spew out a destructive beast tide at any moment—they would be frightened into Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering, scrambling back to their lairs, wishing they could bury themselves in the deepest parts of the ground.

"Tsk, it seems I made a bit too much noise earlier."

Lu Chen touched his chin, feeling rather regretful.

He had been counting on letting his beast pets devour more Invading Monsters to evolve.

He stood still before the vortex entrance of the Chaos Labyrinth, and following the quest prompt, slightly raised the [Chaos Star Core] in his hand.

Hum—!

The star core resonated with the vortex, emitting waves of chaotic halos.

The next moment, the space rules on the open ground in front of the vortex began to twist and reorganize violently. A summoning magic circle lit up out of thin air, and amidst blinding light, a figure was forcibly dragged out by the power of the rules!

"Ouch! Which heaven-killing bastard has no martial virtue! I just got into the bathhouse!!!"

A familiar, exasperated voice with a thick nasal tone rang out.

The light dissipated. Lu Chen looked at the "scene" before him, his mouth twitching violently, his entire being stunned.

There stood the bald, blue fatty Guru Du, soaking wet and steaming, frozen in a ridiculous pose of scrubbing his back with a towel.

His round, blue body was still covered in pink bubbles that hadn't been washed off, and a water droplet rolled down from his smooth head, dripping onto the ground with a plop.

Eyes met, and the air fell dead silent.

"Guru Du?"

Lu Chen's voice carried incredulous shock: "Aren't you a dark merchant NPC? How come this time... you've become a labyrinth guide NPC?"

Guru Du's small eyes widened instantly, clearly recognizing Lu Chen as well.

Embarrassment flashed across his face.

"Ahem!"

He coughed twice, trying to regain a bit of his dignity as an "NPC," while silently pulling an Abyssal bathrobe printed with twisted magic patterns from his inventory space, calmly wrapping his round body in it.

"Making a fuss! As a person of status in the Abyss, isn't it reasonable for me to have a few side jobs?"

He tried to puff out his fat chest, putting on a serious expression: "Young Human Race job changer, mind your attitude! Now, my identity is a noble and professional labyrinth guide NPC! The upcoming path of the labyrinth will be guided by me, Lord Guru Du!"

He paused, glanced at Lu Chen with his small eyes, and added: "A reminder for you, this Chaos Labyrinth has rule restrictions, you can at most summon six beast pets to assist! Don't even think about using your beast-sea tactics again!"

Just then, Old Three, the Molten Abyss Bloodflame Sparrow standing on Lu Chen's shoulder, tilted its little head, pointed at Guru Du with the tip of its wing, and whispered to Lu Chen: "Master, Master, inside his bathrobe... it seems he isn't wearing anything!"

Guru Du had sharp ears, and instantly broke down. His fat face flushed red, and he jumped up, pointing at the Little Fire Sparrow and cursing: "Hey! It's you Little Fire Sparrow again! You talk the most! You have the sharpest eyes! Don't think that just because you've evolved and grown your feathers, I won't recognize you! If you spout nonsense again, believe it or not, I'll pluck all your bird feathers!"

The Molten Abyss Bloodflame Sparrow turned its head away disdainfully, turning its butt toward him, and shook its tail feathers as if showing off.

Lu Chen narrowed his eyes, sizing up the bathrobe-wearing, exasperated blue fatty before him.

Back in his Tier 3 advancement quest, he had felt that this guy was definitely not as simple as an ordinary merchant.

Coupled with the West Sea Overlord Abyssal Demonized Giant Turtle King's mention of that "Great Existence," and Guru Du's ability to act as a guide NPC for such a high-difficulty advancement quest...

A ridiculous yet highly probable conjecture surfaced in Lu Chen's heart: This blue fatty, who looked a bit lewd and funny, was very likely that "Great Existence" whom even the West Sea Overlord revered immensely!

As for whether it really was...

He would just take advantage of this labyrinth journey to test his depth.

Lu Chen's face suddenly revealed a harmless smile: "So that's how it is, please forgive my disrespect. Then... I'll have to trouble Lord Guru Du to lead the way."

Seeing Lu Chen's "respectful" attitude, Guru Du immediately climbed the pole, proudly tugged at the collar of his bathrobe (though there wasn't one), and gave a silly smile: "Hmph! That's more like it! Don't worry! With me, Lord Guru Du, leading the way, I guarantee you'll pass easily!"

Lu Chen looked at his ridiculous bathrobe outfit and said helplessly: "Lord Guru Du, you... aren't going to lead me through the labyrinth wearing that bathrobe, are you?"

"Ah? This..."

Guru Du looked down at himself and also felt it was a bit inappropriate: "You! Turn around! No peeking! I'm going to change my outfit!"

Lu Chen smiled and turned around.

Behind him came a rustling sound, mixed with Guru Du's quiet muttering of "How do I tie this belt," "Where is this button," and other flustered noises.

After a while.

"Alright! You can turn around! Let you see Lord Guru Du's professional labyrinth guide NPC look!"

Lu Chen turned back, only to see Guru Du had changed into a... well... an extremely tight, bright blue, plastic-like bodysuit!

There were several glowing purple stripes on the clothes, which made his round belly and chubby figure even more prominent, like an over-inflated blue fatty doll!

Lu Chen was silent for two seconds, couldn't help it, and commented sincerely: "...It's really small."

Guru Du instantly jumped up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, trying hard to suck in his stomach: "Nonsense! This is called stout! It is a symbol of strength and wisdom! What do you know?!"

After speaking, he moved his short legs wrapped in the tight suit and plunged headfirst into the twisted dark purple vortex with a menacing (albeit slightly funny) momentum.

Lu Chen watched his disappearing back, a playful smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

His figure flashed, and he also stepped into the Chaos Labyrinth.

Light and shadow changed before his eyes, and the sensation of spatial distortion suddenly struck.

Just as he stepped in, a powerful rule suppression force enveloped his whole body. Just as Guru Du said, he could summon at most six beast pets, and the Divine Concealment Forbidden Spell couldn't penetrate walls in this labyrinth either.

Lu Chen summoned Great Green and the others, and also summoned a Soul-Devouring Rat that was good at navigating labyrinth maps!

And ahead, Guru Du, wearing the bright blue bodysuit, was standing in front of a strange passage that was constantly wriggling and changing direction, and in all seriousness... pulled out a huge compass?

That compass's needle was spinning crazily, unable to stop at all.

Guru Du frowned and slapped the compass a few times: "Eh? Why is this piece of junk malfunctioning again? Could it be that water got into it when I was taking a bath just now?"

Lu Chen: "..."

He suddenly felt that this sixth ring quest might be... "more exciting" than the previous five rings combined!
