10: Suppress Shen Chong
Late at night, in a small grove near Nankai University.
A young man with glasses, looking very refined, leaned against a tree and adjusted his spectacles.
"Xia He, you're late."
"I couldn't help it; I found someone interesting on the way, you see?"
Xia He stretched languidly, her perfect figure fully exposed.
Lü Liang's face flushed at the sight, and he quickly lowered his head, averting his gaze from Xia He.
Xia He's abilities truly left him defenseless.
Shen Chong, however, completely ignored these presences.
"The sect leader said we could go back. I heard Zhang Chulan has joined the company, and Mount Longhu has dispatched a master, so we no longer have a chance."
Shen Chong had a nonchalant attitude; he only came because the sect leader told him to provide support this time.
"Oh? It seems you only have these people."
A clear voice came from above the three, yet they hadn't detected anyone else's presence at all!
Shen Chong looked up in shock at Lin Yuan, who was on the tree with his hands in his pockets and bore a resemblance to Eddie Peng. At such close proximity, he hadn't noticed him at all; the opponent's cultivation was likely far above theirs.
Lin Yuan looked down at the three below, a hint of playfulness in his eyes.
"You've been following me since I got off the plane. Did you really think I didn't know?"
Xia He gave a wry smile. She hadn't expected this young Daoist priest, despite his age, to be so vigilant, and to even know her identity and follow her here. This person's identity was definitely not ordinary.
"You seem unfamiliar, sir! May I ask your name?" Shen Chong stared at Lin Yuan nervously, fearing he would attack at any moment.
Mainly because Lin Yuan's display was truly unfathomable.
"Hehehe, didn't you say that Mount Longhu dispatched someone down the mountain to protect Zhang Chulan?"
Shen Chong's pupils immediately constricted.
"You're Lin Yuan!?"
"Hehe, that's right."
"Daoist Lin, we mind our own business, and we haven't done anything excessive to Zhang Chulan."
Lin Yuan picked his ear and sneered:
"Hehehe... Whether you've done anything excessive or not, it's not for you to say!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Shen Chong immediately turned to run without looking back.
Xia He and Lü Liang had a tacit understanding and chose to split up and flee.
They didn't believe that Lin Yuan could split himself. With three people running in different directions, at least two would surely escape; the remaining one would just be unlucky.
Their fantasy was beautiful, but reality was harsh.
Lin Yuan merely raised his hand slightly, and two crystal-clear long swords appeared behind him, instantly multiplying into dozens.
"Peerless Sword Formation!"
Instantly, a formation appeared beneath the three, and numerous glowing white long swords swiftly danced around them.
The three watched as they were instantly trapped within the sword formation, unable to advance a single step.
Lin Yuan watched the suppressed trio, deep in thought.
Lin Yuan was still unsure of the relationship between Xia He and Zhang Lingyu, so he would leave her for now. Lü Liang possessed All-encompassing Hands, which could treat his martial uncle, Tian Jinzhong.
As for Shen Chong, being the root cause of the Four Maniacs, he was essentially a loan shark. Crippling him now would save a lot of trouble later.
After all, after Luotian Grand Ceremony, Quanzhen Sect would attack the mountain, and his martial uncle, Tian Jinzhong, would also be killed.
Lin Yuan gestured at Shen Chong from a distance with his fingers.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!
Instantly, a whirlwind of sword blades appeared around Shen Chong. No matter how he tried to resist, the sharp long swords quickly cut him into a bloody mess.
Shen Chong, looking disheveled, continuously begged for mercy: "Wait! Daoist Lin, we can talk this over. I can give you anything you want! Money! Power! Beautiful women! I can give you all of it!"
Lin Yuan stared at Shen Chong with a cold expression.
"You talk too much."
Finally, Shen Chong's limbs were directly pinned to the ground by the long swords, which scared Lü Liang so much that his legs went weak and he collapsed to the ground.
Even Xia He's face turned pale, and she kept complaining internally.
Is this still a Daoist priest? He's going for the kill right away, so bloodthirsty?
Lin Yuan stepped on a staircase of long swords, descending from the tree to the ground step by step.
Xia He and Shen Chong instinctively retreated backward.
"I advise you two not to harbor any petty thoughts. Crushing you two is as simple as crushing an ant."
Lü Liang swallowed hard.
"I... I... Do you believe me if I say I was just passing by?"
Lin Yuan ignored Lü Liang and instead looked at Xia He.
"Have you seen my senior brother?"
Xia He frowned. She hadn't expected Lin Yuan's first question to be this.
"Who are you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb with me, of course, I mean Zhang Lingyu!"
Xia He immediately shook her head.
"I don't know who you're talking about."
Hearing this, Lin Yuan immediately knew she was lying. He sighed.
It seemed Zhang Lingyu still hadn't listened. He was probably no longer a virgin by now.
In that case, he couldn't touch Xia He even more. If he killed her, Zhang Lingyu would surely fight him to the death.
Thinking of this, Lin Yuan took out his phone and called the Old Celestial Master.
"Hello... Master, it's Yuanzi. Uh, I crippled a Quanzhen Sect member named Shen Chong. Could you help me find someone from Nadutong to take him away, and clean up the scene as well?"
Lü Liang's legs were trembling at this point, and he complained inwardly, *Big brother, are you a Daoist priest or a gangster!? You're more Quanzhen Sect than the Quanzhen Sect itself.*
Grumble... At this moment, Lin Yuan's stomach protested with a growl.
"Hey! I'm hungry, Xia He, take me to get something to eat."
Xia He looked at Lin Yuan with disbelief.
"What did you just say? You want me to take you to eat?"
Lin Yuan nodded.
"That's right! I spared your two lives, shouldn't you treat me to a meal?"
Saying that, Lin Yuan turned and walked out of the grove.
To be honest, he hadn't expected the Old Celestial Master to give him so little money. After deducting the round-trip airfare, he had less than three thousand yuan left.
He was, after all, a disciple of the esteemed Old Celestial Master; working was out of the question.
With these two around, they could serve as his long-term meal tickets, saving him a lot of money.
Xia He and Lü Liang exchanged glances.
Lü Liang asked somewhat flustered: "Should we take this opportunity to slip away?"
Xia He looked at Lü Liang with a wry smile.
"Do you think we still have a chance to escape? I advise you to drop that idea. If you really ran, you'd be decapitated the next second."
"Alright."
Xia He looked at Lin Yuan's back. She didn't know what this Daoist priest wanted to do, but now she was like a fish on a chopping block, at his mercy. She could only take things one step at a time...
