168: Sweet daily interactions between the three female leads, their bickering is hilarious!

Morning light filtered through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the River View Villa, casting a warm glow on the milk in the crystal glasses. Huang Rong, wearing an apron embroidered with peach blossoms, was bringing freshly steamed crystal shrimp dumplings to the table—the skins were so thin the pinkish-white shrimp inside were visible. The steam, carrying a fresh aroma, filled the living room. Wiping her hands, she called out with a smile, "Xie Hui, Xia Zhu, Mingyu, come and eat! The shrimp dumplings will get cold if you wait!"

Xie Hui ran downstairs in his slippers, clutching a jade pendant from the condor heroes world he had just fished out of his inner universe. Before even sitting down, he reached out to grab a shrimp dumpling, hissing and shaking his hand from the heat. "Rong'er, your skills are even better than the chefs on Peach Blossom Island! These shrimp are so fresh my eyebrows might fall off!"

Xia Zhu followed behind, account book in hand, still looking down to verify last night's expenses. Only when she reached the table did she notice Xie Hui hadn't washed his hands. She slapped his hand away. "Go wash your hands! You just touched that jade pendant and now you're grabbing food. Watch out for bacteria. By the way, those limited edition figures you bought yesterday cost eight hundred thousand. It needs to be clearly recorded in the ledger, or Mingyu will nag you about wasting money again."

"I know, I know, my Accountant Xia." Xie Hui ran to wash his hands with a grin. Just as he returned, he saw Su Mingyu walking in wearing a sharp business suit, holding a tablet with a frown. "Xie Hui, news came from the Charity Fund. Wang Duoyu sent someone to try and dodge the previous debt for cat food. I've already had the lawyer send a letter. If you have anything else on your end, let me know anytime."

Su Mingyu placed the tablet on the table. Just as she was about to sit, she saw Xie Hui secretly sneak a shrimp dumpling into her bowl. She glared at him but took a bite anyway, her lips curling up slightly despite herself. "At least you have some conscience and didn't forget I haven't had breakfast. But if you buy those useless figures again, I'll lock up all the gold, silver, and jewels in your small universe."

"Don't do that, President Su!" Xie Hui quickly begged for mercy. "Those figures were for Rong'er. She wanted to see the Guo Jing model from the legend of the condor heroes, so I bought it. It wasn't for me!"

Huang Rong was pouring milk for Xia Zhu. Hearing this, she smiled and waved it off. "I didn't ask for it. You were browsing the model shop in the small universe yesterday yourself, saying 'This Guo Jing is even handsomer than the one I saw back then,' and insisted on buying it."

Xia Zhu and Su Mingyu both laughed. Xie Hui's face instantly turned red. He quickly took a big gulp of milk and mumbled, "Eat, eat, the shrimp dumplings are getting cold."

The atmosphere at the breakfast table was exceptionally lively. Xia Zhu held her ledger, checking the Charity Fund's follow-up expenses with Su Mingyu, occasionally looking up to remind Xie Hui to "drink less cola." Huang Rong was busy serving shrimp dumplings to everyone, mentioning she wanted to plant some vegetables in the small universe garden in the afternoon so they'd have fresh fillings for dumplings later. Su Mingyu replied to work messages on her tablet while occasionally complaining about Xie Hui: "That imported coffee machine you bought last time still hasn't been unpacked. It's a total waste."

After breakfast, Xie Hui suggested taking a stroll in the small universe—after the upgrade, the small universe was identical to Earth; it not only had the street scenes of Magic City but also the Peach Blossom Island image familiar to Huang Rong, the office area Su Mingyu needed, and even the Pet Garden Xia Zhu had been talking about for a long time. The group put on their cosmos rings, silently thought "Enter," and the next second, they were standing on the Magic City Pedestrian Street in the small universe.

The street was empty, but the rustling of wind through the leaves could be heard. The shop windows along the road were lit up, displaying various goods. Xia Zhu immediately spotted a flower shop at the corner and pulled Huang Rong over. "Rong'er, look! There are so many roses here. Let's buy a few bouquets to put in the villa's living room; it'll definitely look beautiful!"

Huang Rong nodded with a smile, reaching out to touch the petals—the texture was no different from real roses. She turned to Xie Hui and said, "Buy some jasmine too. I'll make jasmine cakes for you tonight using the Peach Blossom Island recipe. They're sweet but not greasy."

"Buy, buy, buy!" Xie Hui waved his hand grandly. Just as he was about to pull out money, Su Mingyu stopped him. "Wait, ask for the price first. Don't be like last time, spending three thousand on a bouquet of ordinary roses without even knowing you were being scammed."

Xie Hui scratched his head and laughed awkwardly. "I just wasn't paying attention last time. I'll definitely ask clearly this time." It turned out the flower shop owner (a small universe image capable of simple interaction) said roses were fifty per bouquet and jasmine was thirty. Xie Hui said directly, "Ten bouquets of each, and wrap a bouquet of sunflowers for Xia Zhu; she likes those."

Xia Zhu took the sunflowers, her face a bit red as she whispered, "Thank you." Huang Rong teased from the side, "Sister Xia Zhu is blushing! Xie Hui, you'd better treat her well, or I'll hit you with the Dog Beating Staff Technique."

They laughed and walked forward. When passing an office equipment store, Su Mingyu stopped—the store displayed the latest laptop model, exactly the one she had said she wanted. Xie Hui saw what she was thinking and pulled her into the store. "Buy it if you like it. Anyway, the money in the small universe can be spent freely. It'll be convenient for you to use a new computer when handling Charity Fund matters."

Su Mingyu said, "No need, my old one still works," but her hand was already touching the screen. Xie Hui took the opportunity to have the clerk pack it up and even secretly chose a pink laptop bag for her. "President Su usually wears suits; using a pink bag will balance it out and make you look younger."

Su Mingyu glared at him but didn't refuse, cradling the laptop bag in her arms with a smile she couldn't hide. Huang Rong and Xia Zhu watched from the side and couldn't help but giggle. Xie Hui heard them and pretended to be angry. "What are you two laughing at? If you keep laughing, I won't buy you anything delicious!"

"Who cares about your delicious food?" Xia Zhu laughed and ran off, with Huang Rong following. Xie Hui chased after them. Su Mingyu walked behind, holding her laptop bag and watching their retreating figures, her eyes full of tenderness—back in the all is well world, she had always handled company matters alone. She had never been like this before, with so many people accompanying her in such a lively way.

Around noon, they walked into a Chinese restaurant in the small universe and ordered a table full of dishes (small universe images capable of simple interaction). Huang Rong's eyes lit up when she saw "beggars chicken" on the menu. "I wonder if this beggars chicken is better than the one I used to make. Next time, I'll raise some chickens in the small universe garden and make it myself!"

Xie Hui quickly nodded. "Sure, sure! I'll help you find the mud then, and we'll recreate the most authentic Peach Blossom Island beggars chicken."

Xia Zhu served food for everyone while saying, "But raising chickens costs a lot—coops, feed, and epidemic prevention supplies. I need to record it in the ledger so I don't forget during the next audit."

Su Mingyu took a sip of tea and smiled. "Xia Zhu, you're just too serious. Xie Hui has unlimited funds now; is he afraid he can't afford this little bit of money? But speaking of which, the Charity Fund is still short of a few caregivers. I've already asked Aunt Zhang to help with recruitment. The monthly salary is twelve thousand, which adds up to another expense. Remember to record it."

"Don't worry, I've recorded it all." Xia Zhu took out her mobile phone and opened the ledger for Su Mingyu to see; every entry was clearly noted. Xie Hui leaned over to look and couldn't help but say, "Accountant Xia is truly dedicated, even more serious than the finance department at my old company. In the future, when we transmigrate to other worlds, the bookkeeping will be left to you."

Xia Zhu's face turned red again as she lowered her head to eat. Huang Rong smiled and said, "Xie Hui, stop teasing Sister Xia Zhu, or she'll get embarrassed. By the way, when are we going to Hogwarts next? I heard you say there are flying brooms and magic that makes delicious food. I really want to try it."

"Soon, once we get the small universe's vegetable garden and Pet Garden sorted out." Xie Hui put down his chopsticks and looked at the three girls, his heart feeling settled. "When we get to Hogwarts, I'll take you to Diagon Alley to buy wands. Rong'er, you can see if you can cook with magic. Mingyu, you can check out the magic briefcases there; they're even more convenient than the ones we use now. Xia Zhu, if you like, we can buy a magic diary to record our Transmigration experiences."

All three girls laughed. Xia Zhu said, "I also want to see Hogwarts Castle. I heard there's moving armor inside; that must be very interesting."

Su Mingyu nodded. "I'd like to see the laws of the magic world and how they differ from our real world. If there are magic contracts, handling Charity Fund matters will be even more convenient in the future."

Huang Rong said excitedly, "I want to learn how to make magic snacks from the house-elves there and come back to make them for you!"

After lunch, they wandered around the small universe for a while. Xia Zhu bought some flower seeds to plant in the villa's garden; Su Mingyu bought some office stationery as benefits for the Charity Fund employees; Huang Rong bought some special spices to research new recipes. Xie Hui didn't stay idle either, secretly buying a small gift for each girl—for Xia Zhu, a glowing magic hairpin (fished out of his inner universe); for Su Mingyu, a fountain pen engraved with her name; and for Huang Rong, a peach blossom-shaped jade pendant that matched her apron.

When they returned to the villa in the real world, it was already evening. Huang Rong went to the kitchen to prepare dinner, Xia Zhu helped organize the flower seeds, and Su Mingyu handled Charity Fund emails in the living room. Xie Hui sat on the sofa, watching the busy figures of the three girls, his heart full of sweetness—back when he was a Corporate Slave in Magic City, he never imagined he would have a day like this, with so many important people by his side, eating, shopping, and planning the future together.

At dinner, Huang Rong made a large table of dishes, including Xia Zhu's favorite sweet and sour pork ribs, Su Mingyu's preferred stir-fried seasonal vegetables, and Xie Hui's favorite beggars chicken (made with a chicken from the small universe). They sat around the table, eating and chatting. Su Mingyu suddenly said, "By the way, Xie Hui, tomorrow I need to go to Xihong City to check on the Charity Fund. Do you want to come along? You can see Aunt Zhang and Big Smart while we're at it."

"Sure, I'll go with you." Xie Hui nodded. "If Xia Zhu and Rong'er want to go, they can come too. We can check on the previous Pet Garden and see how that Calico Cat is doing."

Xia Zhu and Huang Rong both agreed. Xia Zhu said, "I'll go to verify the Charity Fund's latest ledger to make sure nothing was missed."

Huang Rong smiled and said, "I'll bring some of the snacks I made for Aunt Zhang and Big Smart. Last time they tried my jasmine cakes, they said they were delicious."

After dinner, they sat in the villa's courtyard to look at the stars. Xia Zhu leaned against Xie Hui's left, playing with the sunflowers she bought during the day; Huang Rong sat on Xie Hui's right, chatting with him about stories from Peach Blossom Island; Su Mingyu sat in the chair opposite them, tablet in hand, occasionally looking up to join their conversation.

Xie Hui looked at everything before him and suddenly said, "In the future, no matter which world we transmigrate to, let's be like this—eating together, shopping together, and experiencing everything together, okay?"

The three girls looked at him, their eyes full of smiles. Xia Zhu whispered, "Okay."

Su Mingyu nodded. "Okay, but if you waste money again next time, I'll still nag you."

Huang Rong laughed and said, "Sure! But if you dare leave us behind, I'll chase you down with the Dog Beating Staff Technique!"

Xie Hui laughed, reaching out to hold Xia Zhu's and Huang Rong's hands, and said to Su Mingyu, "Don't worry, President Su. Next time I buy something, I'll definitely report to you first and won't waste money."

As the night deepened, the stars twinkled in the sky, and the villa's courtyard was filled with laughter. Xie Hui knew that this mundane life back in reality, while lacking the excitement of transmigrating through worlds, held the most genuine warmth. With these three girls by his side, whether it was the future trip to Hogwarts or more Transmigration adventures, everything would become even more wonderful and sweet.
