190: Daze Beacon Fire

At this time, at the place where the giant beast fell.

Just as Gao De and Rainbow left the edge of the swamp, the Yao Beasts attracted by the blood began to fight over it.

"Roar—!!!"

A roar full of violence and greed suddenly exploded from a valley in the distance!

The sound was sharp and piercing, with extremely strong penetration, completely different from the thick roar of the suanni.

A dark shadow over twenty zhang long leapt out from the shadows of the valley like a ghost!

The creature looked like a wolf magnified several times, but only its back was covered with pitch-black hair like steel needles. Its four limbs were exceptionally strong, and its claws and teeth shimmered with a ghostly cold light. It was none other than a Great Desolate Strange Beast with a fearsome reputation—the Black-Haired Horned Hou!

Red lights of greed flickered in its eyes as it stared fixedly at the direction where the suanni had fallen. Driven by an instinctive desire for the aura of a higher Bloodline, it dashed madly toward the collapsed Lingyun Peak, its massive body rampaging through the mountain forest, crushing all obstacles in its path.

However, one figure was even faster!

"Screech—!"

A clear and piercing eagle cry tore through the sky as a massive purple figure dove down like a bolt of lightning from the high clouds!

It was a Thunder Eagle with a wingspan of over thirty zhang. Its feathers shimmered with a metallic purple light, its speed was extreme, and its eyes were sharp as lightning. Its target was also clear—Lingyun Peak!

Like a stone thrown into a calm lake, the proactive movement of these two strange beasts, which had at least Third-Tier Late Stage or even Peak auras, completely shattered the brief silence.

"Awoo—!"

"Hiss—!"

"Roar roar—!"

Among the mountains, it was as if everything was instantly ignited!

Roars and cries of beasts and birds, some high-pitched, some low, some hoarse, erupted from the dark mountain forests, deep within the swamps, and from within the mists in all directions!

Pairs of eyes—some crimson, some emerald green, some ghostly blue—lit up one after another in the gloom, like countless ghost fires lit in the night, all looking toward the same direction—Lingyun Peak!

Fear and greed, two completely opposite emotions, intertwined in the eyes of these strange beasts of varying intelligence.

The residual terrifying pressure of the suanni made their Souls tremble, but the strands of incomparably powerful Bloodline aura emanating from the cracked mountain were like the sweetest poison, madly stimulating their instincts to devour, evolve, and transform into something stronger!

That was the suanni precious blood of a Fifth-Tier Desolate Beast!

Even if it was just scattered droplets or strands mixed in the mud and rubble, for these Yao Beasts struggling and yearning for a Breakthrough, it was an irresistible peerless Opportunity!

Chaos erupted!

The Black-Haired Horned Hou and the Thunder Eagle reached the outskirts of Lingyun Peak almost simultaneously, their targets aimed directly at the faintly shimmering crimson-gold spots of light in the mountain cracks.

Without any communication, a fierce conflict immediately broke out between the two!

The Black-Haired Horned Hou roared as it leaped into the air to pounce and tear with its claws; the Thunder Eagle used its aerial advantage to whip up violent purple electric blades, diving and pecking.

Their struggle was like a signal.

More Desolate Beasts could no longer hold back and rushed out from their hiding places:

There was the "Stone-Armored Dragon Lizard," covered in stone armor and shaped like a pangolin but with a dragon's tail, crashing through the mountain rocks;

There was the "Cloud-Crowned Python," shaped like a giant python with a fleshy crown on its head, breathing out poisonous smoke;

There was the "Ice Crystal Toad," crystal clear all over as if carved from ice, with frost spreading wherever it went;

There were even packs of "Blood-Fanged Yao Wolves" with exposed fangs and red-glowing eyes... Desolate Beasts that might have been natural enemies or ruled their own territories on ordinary days were now all attracted by the aura of the suanni precious blood, temporarily forgetting their mutual grudges and rushing toward Lingyun Peak with bloodshot eyes.

They collided, bit, and fought each other for the path forward. Before even touching the actual precious blood, the outskirts had already turned into a bloody Shura field!

Roars, impacts, Spell explosions, and the sound of breaking bones and tendons mixed together, deafening the ears.

The Spiritual Qi became completely violent, elemental turbulence rampaged, sand and stones flew, and Demonic Qi soared to the sky.

Some Yao Beasts with weaker strength but blinded by greed were torn apart by stronger Desolate Beasts or strangled by the chaotic energy turbulence as soon as they approached the edge.

This was only the first wave of Chaos, primarily caused by Third-Tier and lower Desolate Beasts.

Those even more powerful Fourth-Tier Demon Kings were likely observing in secret or were already on their way!

In the following days, the aftermath of the suanni's fall was like a spark thrown into boiling oil, completely igniting the already surging undercurrents of Yunmeng Marsh.

Lingyun Peak and its surrounding thousand miles became the center of the storm. The bloody feast had not stopped for a single moment since the beginning, and as time passed, it became increasingly violent.

To the northeast, Thunder Cloud Mountain.

Leaden clouds hung low, and a violent long roar exploded from the mountain Peak where lightning snakes danced wildly.

The Thunder Kui Demon King, shaped like a giant ox with a single leg supporting the sky and surrounded by blue-purple electric light, stepped and cracked the mountain rock, looking up at the fading crimson-gold afterglow in the distant sky.

The majestic Demonic Qi of the Fourth-Tier Middle Stage soared into the sky, stirring a hundred miles of thunderclouds.

"The legacy of a Divine Beast... how can it be coveted by the weak?!" Its voice was like rolling thunder, carrying the electric light of the sky as it transformed into a violent torrent of lightning, pouncing straight toward the direction of Lingyun Peak.

Behind it, the various demons of Thunder Cloud Mountain roared and followed.

Almost at the same time.

In the Thousand Reed Swamp to the east, the boundless reeds parted silently.

Beneath the murky water, a ferocious bronze-like back slowly rose, and the Black Bone Crocodile King's dim yellow vertical pupils opened in the shadows.

This old monster, who had lived for untold years, had an aura as cold as a ten-thousand-year-old icy pond.

It didn't make a sound. Its hundred-zhang body quietly merged into the swamp's undercurrents, circling around like the most experienced assassin, staying close to the shadows of the earth veins.

On the outskirts, countless poisonous crocodiles and swamp demons quietly surfaced, their crimson eyes all looking toward the west.

At the Green Wave Pool to the northwest, waves soared. Lady Jade Flood Dragon burst out of the water, her white jade-like flood dragon body shimmering with clear light under the moon.

This Fourth-Tier Early Stage flood dragon's beautiful eyes were filled with killing intent, followed by several aquatic Demon Generals.

"The Fifth-Tier precious blood should have a share for my tribe!" The waves lifted the image of the flood dragon, pressing toward that boiling land from the flank.

And what truly triggered the all-out Chaos was the direction due west.

Deep within the Corrosive Poison Marsh, the earth cracked, and dark green poisonous miasma soared into the sky!

A hundred-zhang-long centipede with ferocious segments and a hundred ghastly green eyes tore through the swamp, letting out a completely mad hiss!

The Hundred-Eyed Centipede, Fourth-Tier Early Stage, its intelligence in Chaos, leaving only the instinct to devour.

It completely ignored any standoffs or warnings, its massive body crushing the mountain forest, with poison flowing and all things rotting wherever it passed, crashing straight into the collapsed mountain body of Lingyun Peak!

Its appearance was like a torch thrown into boiling oil.

"Roar—!!"

"Ow—!"

The Yao Beasts lurking in all directions, already stimulated to the brink of madness by the aura of the precious blood, could no longer hold back!

From the Third-Tier Peak to countless middle and low-tier Yao Beasts, they rushed out from their hiding places with red eyes, like a bursting flood, surging toward Lingyun Peak regardless of everything!

From this moment on, the struggle entered its bloodiest and most chaotic stage.

The sky, the ground, the mountain rocks, the swamp... every inch of space became a battlefield.

Thunder Kui's lightning and Lady Jade's water waves collided in the air; the Black Bone Crocodile King erupted from the shadows, biting and crushing a Third-Tier Peak demon bird fighting for the precious blood; the Hundred-Eyed Centipede's poisonous miasma covered a large area, melting low-tier Yao Beasts in droves, but also attracting attacks from other Demon Kings.

It was a chaotic melee between Yao Beasts, between Yao Beasts and the drivers occasionally revealed by the Heavenly Demon Cult, and even between the subordinates of different Demon Kings.

Spiritual Qi ran wild, Demonic Qi soared, and the sounds of roars and explosions didn't stop day or night, as flesh and blood fell like rain.

The entire area was completely transformed into a purgatory.

Several days passed, and this mad struggle triggered by the precious blood not only failed to subside but instead intensified.

What was initially just a battlefield for Third-Tier Yao Beasts was soon broken by stronger entities who had heard the news and rushed over.

Fourth-Tier Demon Kings appeared one after another. Their auras shook the mountains, and every time they struck, they caused the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi to vibrate, suddenly raising the level of the original Chaos.

The entire area turned into a meat grinder. Low-tier Yao Beasts became cannon fodder crushed by the aftermath, while truly powerful existences fought tragically among the collapsed mountain bodies and the pervasive blood mist, all to snatch the suanni precious blood that contained a trace of the Law's Origin power.

Only then did the forces of the Heavenly Sword Branch Alliance, led by the Nascent Soul Old Ancestor, cautiously arrive at the outer area.

They were completely powerless and had never even thought of directly stepping in to snatch it.

The death zone before them, where the world was boiling, Demon Kings were rampant, and terrible conflicts erupted every moment, was no longer a situation any single Sect could control.

That Heavenly Sword Ancestor looked solemnly at the soaring Demonic Qi and spiritual explosions in the distance, decisively ordering the Sect Disciples to form a defensive formation, hide their auras, and station themselves in a hidden mountain hollow a hundred miles away from the core battlefield.

Their goal was clear: wait for the right moment.

With the current strength of the Heavenly Sword Branch Alliance, if they rashly got involved in that terrifying melee where even a Fourth-Tier Demon King could fall at any time, it would be no different from seeking their own destruction.

They could only watch from afar, like hyenas lurking in the shadows, patiently waiting for the climax of this feast to pass, waiting for those strongest predators to exhaust each other's strength or for both sides to suffer.

Only then might there be a slight chance for them, "fishermen" with limited strength, to pick up some scraps from the edges or to risk seizing a bit of real harvest at the end of the Chaos.

The risk was extremely high, but the temptation of the Fifth-Tier Desolate Beast's precious blood made them willing to take the risk and wait here.
