Chapter 134: Introducing Inventions

When the hour was up, Adrian was already waiting. The moment the cooldown ended, he vanished from his bedroom, reappearing in the Factory immediately.

He wasted no time, diving straight back into the holographic design studio.

Just thirty minutes into his return, Adrian was already wrapping up the design.

The vehicle was nearly complete; all that remained were some minor details, like the aesthetic touches.

He had envisioned the vehicle adopting the same blue-black color scheme as most of his inventions, but this time with a duller shade, something more subdued and practical for the rugged environment it would be traversing.

As he stared at the completed design, Adrian knew there was only one action left. He inscribed the "AD" logo, just as he had done on most of his creations.

This time, he made it more prominent and larger, letting it take up a significant portion of the vehicle’s side panel.

But he didn’t plan on proceeding with the fabrication just yet. There was something else he wanted to try first.

"I hope this works," Adrian muttered under his breath.

At that moment, he directed his will onto the design. The System didn’t prompt him this time, but he knew what to do.

He focused on the AD logo, viewing it as an anchor — a point to hold his spiritual energy. He tried to summon his will into it and to imbue the design with his soul imprint before the vehicle was even built.

For several seconds, nothing happened. Adrian furrowed his brow, concentrating harder, but still, there was no response. Then, it clicked.



"I need to convince myself that this is more than just a design concept," he realized. "I need to believe it’s real."

It was easier said than done. His logical mind knew it was still just a blueprint, a holographic projection.

But he needed to override that thinking, to see it as something tangible, something already existing in the world.

"Designs are real too," he told himself. "They’re more than just what I envision. A plan is as solid as a creation."

He repeated the words like a mantra, trying to shift his perspective. Slowly, he began to see the design not as a mere idea but as something with weight, with presence.

And then, he felt it. His will began to seep into the design, flowing into the AD logo.

The logo lit up, glowing faintly with a soft, ethereal light. Although the System didn’t deliver any prompt, Adrian could sense it... the design felt alive! It bore his presence, his essence, in a way he couldn’t quite describe.

A satisfied smile crept across his face. "It worked," he whispered.

With that success, there was nothing stopping him from proceeding with the fabrication.

Adrian moved quickly, initiating the process to print the required metal sheets and components.

He worked as efficiently as possible, hoping to finish before the next cooldown. But unfortunately, just as he was assembling the final pieces, his Access Time ran out. He was only 95% complete when the Workshop dissolved around him, and he found himself back in his bedroom.

Adrian sighed as he laid on the bed again. He confirmed the time via the System interface:

[9:13 AM].

"I’ve wasted enough time already," Adrian muttered, a bit disappointed that he hadn’t wrapped up the project. But there was nothing he could do about it now. "I’m still moving fast," he reassured himself.

The morning sunlight was already filtering through the window, casting a warm glow across the room.

Deciding it was time to greet his parents, Adrian opened the door and walked to the dining area.

There, he saw Eli and Mara engaged in conversation as they ate breakfast.

"Good morning, Papa. Good morning, Ma’am," Adrian greeted them with a smile.

They both looked up, their faces lighting up at the sight of him.

"Adrian, you’re up," Eli said warmly. "Have a seat; we left you some breakfast."



Mara added, "We wanted to knock on your door earlier, but we thought you’d need some rest after your journey."

Adrian took a seat at the table. "Oh, there’s no problem. I was actually awake, but I was busy with something."

Eli chuckled, nudging Mara playfully. "I told you he wasn’t sleeping. Our boy Adrian can never stop working."

Mara ignored Eli’s antics and smiled at Adrian. "I didn’t want to prepare water for you yet because I didn’t want it to get cold before you came out. But I’ll go set up the fire now."

Her words made Adrian pause just as he was about to open his plate. He remembered that he hadn’t yet introduced the magic heater and cooler to his parents. He was certain such inventions hadn’t reached this area yet.

Standing up, Adrian said, "You don’t need to stress yourself with that, Ma’am. I have an invention that lets you create fires for cooking without any hassle."

Before they could exclaim in surprise, Adrian summoned a magic heater onto the floor, followed by a magic cooler beside it.

The devices appeared immediately, their sleek designs contrasting with the rustic charm of the dining room.

Both Eli and Mara were startled, their eyes widening at the sudden appearance of the inventions.

"Adrian... how?" Mara asked, her voice filled with wonder.

Adrian laughed at their reactions. "Don’t worry, it’s just something I can do."

They didn’t press him further, knowing that Adrian was capable of extraordinary things. Eli then asked, "You said these can produce fires, lad?"

Adrian stepped back to demonstrate. He clicked a button on the heater, and immediately, flames sprang to life from its top.

The fire didn’t dance wildly; instead, it glowed with a controlled, steady blue flame.

"You can turn it off by clicking that button again," he explained, pressing it once more to extinguish the flames.

"Woww," they chorused in unison.

Moving on to the cooler, Adrian opened its lid and clicked another button. The interior began to cool rapidly.

"This can be used to preserve food or make water and drinks cold," he said. "If you place your hand inside, you can feel the frost building up."

Curious, Mara reached in and quickly withdrew her hand, startled by the sudden chill. Eli did the same and his eyebrows shot up in amazement.

Adrian smiled. "It doesn’t take much time to cool completely, and you can turn it off once it’s cold enough."



They were both left speechless, staring at the inventions with a mix of awe and disbelief.

Then, Mara stepped forward and enveloped Adrian in a tight hug. "Adrian!"

He hugged her back. "It’s nothing, Ma’am. Just something to make life a little easier."

Eli clapped him on the shoulder, his eyes shining with pride. "You’ve outdone yourself again, lad. These are incredible."

Unable to resist, Mara lifted the two devices and carried them into the kitchen with quick steps, curiosity gleaming in her eyes.

"I’ll prepare hot water now," she said as she left.

Adrian chuckled and turned to the table. As he opened the plates, a wave of nostalgia hit him.

Before him sat a generous portion of steaming porridge, drizzled with golden honey and topped with fresh berries, paired with a slice of crusty bread slathered in butter.

He couldn’t help but lick his lips. ’Ah... I’ve missed this more than I realized.’

Without hesitation, he scooped up a spoonful of porridge, savoring the warm, comforting flavors.

Just as he dug in, Eli, seated across the table, leaned forward slightly.

"How would you like to join me in the Forge, lad?"
