271: Chapter 271 seems to be targeted by the Heavenly Dao of the Universe.

Cao Yang carefully tucked the unconscious spirit supplementing flower into his bag, then took a deep breath and activated a Divine Ability.

With a flash of his figure, he instantly vanished from the spot. Using his Divine Ability only twice, he appeared beside Ning Rongrong like a phantom.

"Brother Cao, how did it go? Did you successfully catch that Source-regulating medicine?" Ning Rongrong asked with a face full of anticipation, her beautiful eyes fixed on Cao Yang as if he were hiding some great secret.

If she could obtain this source medicine, her injuries could be quickly healed, and she would regain her former radiance.

"Haha, of course! We went to so much trouble to find it, how could I let it escape so easily?" Cao Yang nodded with a smile, his tone brimming with confidence and pride.

Then, he extended his right hand and gave it a light wave; a five-petaled flower emitting a mysterious purple glow abruptly appeared in his palm.

Ning Rongrong's eyes widened as she stared fixedly at the purple five-petaled flower, her heart filled with uncontrollable excitement.

She could clearly feel the dense Soul aura fluctuating from this flower; there was no doubt that this was the spirit supplementing flower that could repair her damaged true spirit!

As long as she took it back to her residence to refine and absorb it, her injuries would surely be healed.

Seeing Ning Rongrong trembling slightly from excitement, Cao Yang couldn't help but chuckle inwardly.

In his previous imagination, an Extreme Dao Saint like Ning Rongrong, who ranked first in strength within the Small Universe, should have always maintained a high-and-mighty, majestic image.

Yet the Ning Rongrong standing before him now was like an innocent young girl; where was the solemnity an Extreme Dao Saint ought to have? However, this contrast made Cao Yang feel that Ning Rongrong was increasingly cute and charming.

With a look of gratitude, Ning Rongrong gazed at Cao Yang with her beautiful eyes and said softly, "Thank you, truly thank you, Brother Cao. I don't know how to express my gratitude for everything you've done for me."

Her delicate voice was as gentle as a spring breeze, evoking a sense of pity and affection.

Cao Yang shook his head with a smile and responded warmly, "There's no need to be so polite with me, Rongrong. To meet an extraordinary woman like you who achieved the position of a Saint with a Mortal Body is truly my great fortune!" His gaze revealed his sincere admiration and respect for her.

After a brief pause, Cao Yang continued with a concerned expression, "Setting everything else aside for now, it's better for us to return to the Small Universe quickly. After all, your injuries cannot be delayed."

Hearing this, Ning Rongrong nodded obediently in agreement, "Mm, okay."

Cao Yang naturally reached out and gently took hold of Ning Rongrong's delicate hand.

Ning Rongrong did not resist, but a faint blush quietly crept onto her fair cheeks, like the brilliant sunset glow in the sky.

However, this trace of shyness flashed by in an instant; unless one were observing closely, it would be difficult to notice.

On the journey back, because Cao Yang had successfully achieved Fusion with the Great Dao of Space, his travel speed was significantly faster than before.

The journey that was originally long and arduous had now become much easier. In just a short month, the two were already close to their original starting point.

During this hurried journey, as the two were going all out without stopping, they paid no heed to the Void Creatures they encountered along the way.

Even the weaker Void Creatures below the Source Realm had no time to react when they sensed someone approaching before the figures of Cao Yang and Ning Rongrong sped past like lightning, vanishing into the vast Void Realm.

"Rongrong, I suddenly remembered that when we first came out, we were randomly teleported to a place not far ahead. But what should we do to get back this time? It seems I can't see that kind of teleportation vortex from before!" Cao Yang asked with a face full of confusion, as if he had just realized the problem.

Hearing this, Ning Rongrong's willow-leaf-like slender eyebrows also furrowed slightly as she replied softly, "Brother Cao, I'm also completely baffled as to why it happened that way last time. Whenever I came out with others in the past, we were always teleported directly into a Great Hall, and within that Great Hall, there was a Teleportation Formation that allowed entry into the Small Universe."

After hearing what Ning Rongrong said, Cao Yang couldn't help but fall into deep thought.

After a short while, he pondered to himself that the situation being different this time was likely due to being deliberately targeted by the Small Universe's Heavenly Dao.

And the primary reason for this situation was probably attributable to himself.

After all, he had personally slain the Pseudo-Child of Destiny from the Saint Realm as well as the Child of Destiny from the Saint Source Realm!

Such actions had undoubtedly drawn the attention of the Heavenly Dao, thereby triggering its hostility toward him.

Cao Yang stared intently at Ning Rongrong and asked, "Then do you still remember the general location of that Teleportation Hall?" His voice carried a hint of urgency and expectation.

Ning Rongrong's eyebrows furrowed slightly, a look of helplessness appearing on her face as she shook her head gently and said, "I'm sorry, Brother Cao, that place might be too far from here. Thinking back on the places we passed earlier, I have no memory of them at all, so I simply can't find the specific location of the Teleportation Hall."

After speaking, she lowered her head somewhat dejectedly.

Seeing this, Cao Yang quickly comforted her, "It's fine, don't worry about it if you can't find it. With my strength, even without finding the Teleportation Hall, I can forcibly take you inside. However, if we do that, we might end up falling into other Saint Realms."

His tone was firm and confident, as if it weren't a very large problem.

Hearing Cao Yang's words, Ning Rongrong couldn't help but look up, her beautiful eyes gazing at the tall and imposing man before her, her heart filled with admiration.

She said softly, "Brother Cao's strength is indeed great. If it weren't for you, I'm afraid we really would have been lost in this vast Void Realm this time." As she spoke, her eyes revealed undisguised reverence.

One must know that Ning Rongrong herself was an existence who had achieved Saint status by cultivating from a Mortal Body, having experienced countless hardships and dangers along the way; her willpower was naturally extraordinary.

However, even someone as excellent as her couldn't help but feel a deep sense of admiration in her heart when facing a peerless Genius like Cao Yang, who was not only the first to successfully break through to the Source Realm but could also slay powerful enemies across multiple major Realms.

Before long, the two arrived at their original starting point.

After taking a deep breath, Cao Yang slowly spread out his powerful Divine Sense like an invisible net, extending in all directions to carefully search for the Huangyuan Mini-Universe.

Fortunately, this Small Universe was not too far from them, being just within the range that Cao Yang's vast Divine Sense could reach.

If it had been any further, they might have had to spend a lot of time and effort searching for it.

At this moment, Ning Rongrong, with a look of anxiety on her face, asked softly, "Brother Cao, I wonder if you've sensed the existence of the Huangyuan Universe? My Divine Sense's coverage is far too limited; I simply cannot detect any trace of it."

Cao Yang nodded slightly and replied, "Don't worry, Rongrong, I've already found its location. Let's head over there right away."

With that, he gently took Ning Rongrong's hand, and his figure flashed, turning into a streak of light that sped toward the location of the Small Universe.

Before long, the two arrived outside the Small Universe.

The scene before them left them dumbstruck—this Small Universe was situated in the endless Void Realm, and it was not in the shape of a giant, smooth bubble like the familiar Immortal Realm; instead, it was a massive object with no regular shape at all.

In comparison, Cao Yang and Ning Rongrong standing before it were as insignificant as two tiny specks of dust.
