414: Chapter 414 The True Goddess in My Heart

"What will it take for you to release Yeer and me?" Jinwu Li's expression was grim to the extreme. She stared wide-eyed at the man before her, her voice betraying a hint of despair and indignation.

Just moments ago, she had exhausted her strength to unleash a Divine Ability unique to the Golden Crow Clan—it was her final trump card.

However, three hours had passed, and the Elders of the clan had yet to appear. Had they failed to notice the abnormal state she and her sister were in?

Jinwu Li's heart was filled with doubt and anxiety; she couldn't help but begin to question her own judgment.

At that moment, Cao Yang suddenly retrieved an object from his Inner Universe. Jinwu Li focused her gaze, and her eyes instantly widened in shock.

"An Innate Artifact? This... how is this possible? How could our Golden Crow Clan's supreme treasure be in your hands?" Jinwu Ye's voice trembled slightly.

However, what shocked Cao Yang even more was that the exclamation hadn't come from the Elder sister, Jinwu Li, but from the younger sister, Jinwu Ye, who was crouching in the magma beside Jinwu Li.

"An Innate Artifact? Is this truly our Golden Crow Clan's Innate Artifact?" Jinwu Li's face was also written with disbelief.

The corners of Cao Yang's mouth curled up into a smug smile as he said slowly, "If I told you I've already successfully conquered your Golden Crow Clan's Fifth Ancestor, Jinwu Ji, would you believe me? She is now my, Cao Yang's, Dao Companion."

After speaking, Cao Yang specifically glanced at Jinwu Li, seemingly observing her reaction.

He had plenty of time now and could afford to do this unhurriedly. After all, he was deeply interested in these two girls. Especially the one named Jinwu Li, who had piqued his curiosity immensely.

Cao Yang thought to himself that since he had the time, he would have some fun with this singular pair of sisters and see what interesting things he could discover about them.

However, just as he was making his secret calculations, Jinwu Li suddenly roared in uncontrollable rage, "You foul man! How dare you defile our Golden Crow Clan's Fifth Ancestor!"

Her face grew even more distorted with anger, and the fury in her eyes looked as if it were about to erupt.

Jinwu Li had never expected this outsider to be so bold as to harbor such disrespectful thoughts toward Jinwu Ji, the pure queen in the hearts of all Golden Crow Goddesses.

In the traditional views of the Golden Crow Clan, Jinwu Ji was the spiritual leader of all their Goddesses, a symbol of purity and holiness.

Any desecration of her was absolutely forbidden; this was the bottom line for every Golden Crow Goddess.

Jinwu Li felt that even if her own reputation were defiled, she could never tolerate anyone defiling the pure queen in the hearts of all Golden Crow Goddesses.

"The Innate Artifact in your hand must be a fake!" Jinwu Li's voice was deafening, as if it would pierce the clouds. She glared with wide eyes and a face full of fury at the Innate Artifact in Cao Yang's hand, as if it were her mortal enemy.

"It's a replica, isn't it? It's definitely not our Golden Crow Clan's Innate Artifact!" Jinwu Li's voice became increasingly shrill. Her emotions had completely spiraled out of control as she shrieked hysterically.

Her body trembled slightly, looking as if she might break down at any moment.

"Our Golden Crow Clan's Heavenly Immortal Artifacts are guarded by specialized Elders. Even the Clan Chief can only inspect them and cannot take them away privately; only an Ancestor is qualified to remove them from the Treasure Hall." Jinwu Li spoke at a rapid pace, as if trying to pour out all these words at once. "How could our Golden Crow Clan's supreme Innate Artifact fall into the hands of an outsider like you? Therefore, the Innate Artifact in your hand is absolutely fake! It is absolutely not our clan's true Innate Artifact!"

Jinwu Li's roars echoed in the air, lingering for a long time. her voice was filled with rage, doubt, and despair, making it impossible not to be affected by her emotions.

Cao Yang was stunned by Jinwu Li's outburst; he had never expected her reaction to be so violent.

He stared blankly at Jinwu Li, momentarily unsure of how to respond.

Cao Yang also couldn't tell if Jinwu Li cared more about the Golden Crow Clan's supreme Innate Artifact or the reputation of their Fifth Ancestor, Jinwu Ji.

However, judging from Jinwu Li's words, it seemed she cared more about the reputation of the Fifth Ancestor, Jinwu Ji.

"Sister Li, don't be angry! You're absolutely right, that guy's Innate Artifact must be a fake. The Fifth Ancestor is the true goddess in the hearts of all us Golden Crow Goddesses; she is the purest queen in the world. How could she possibly become the Dao Companion of such a filthy man?" Seeing her sister truly enraged, Jinwu Ye quickly offered soft words of comfort.

"We must believe in the Fifth Ancestor, believe in the goddess in our hearts, Sister Li," Jinwu Ye continued to persuade. She knew very well that her sister had a near-obsessive adoration for the Golden Crow Clan's Fifth Ancestor, Jinwu Ji.

Even if she, her own younger sister, were to speak ill of the Fifth Ancestor, she would likely be severely beaten by her sister until she obediently admitted her mistake.

Therefore, her sister could never tolerate an outsider desecrating the image of the pure and flawless queen in her heart! Let alone that this outsider was the man she and her sister detested most!

"Yes, Yeer, you are quite right. We must have firm faith in the Fifth Ancestor; she is the one we trust most!"

After a moment of silence, Jinwu Li finally nodded slowly in agreement.

Among the many Ancestors of the Golden Crow Clan, only Jinwu Ji, the Fifth Ancestor, truly took the interests of the Golden Crow Goddesses to heart.

Once a Golden Crow Goddess suffered humiliation from a foul man—regardless of whether the culprit was from within the clan or an outsider, no matter how powerful their background, no matter which corner of the Chaos they were in, or how far they were from the Golden Crow Clan—the Fifth Ancestor, Jinwu Ji, would step forward to seek justice for the Golden Crow Goddess and reclaim her lost dignity.

Because of this, Jinwu Ji had become the well-deserved goddess in the hearts of all Golden Crow Goddesses, earning their heartfelt reverence and aspiration.

Furthermore, the Fifth Ancestor, Jinwu Ji, was not only one of the originators of the declaration that a Goddess should remain a Goddess forever, but she was also a steadfast supporter and promoter of this ideal.

In her view, the meaning of a Goddess's existence was to manifest her divinity and nobility through constant Cultivation and the enhancement of her own strength. Therefore, all Goddesses should treat Cultivation as their primary task, rather than wasting time and energy on contact with men.

Jinwu Ji firmly believed that once a Goddess had too much contact with men, it would easily lead to emotional entanglements, which would in turn affect their Cultivation progress and the stability of their state of mind.

Such emotional fluctuations were undoubtedly a massive obstacle for a Goddess, rendering her unable to devote herself wholeheartedly to Cultivation.

More importantly, the Goddesses of their Golden Crow Clan were special; once their bodies were defiled, their Chaos Fortune would leak away, and their path of Cultivation would reach its end.

Even more crucially, Jinwu Ji believed that a woman without strength had no status before a man and could only be reduced to a man's plaything.

As Golden Crow Goddesses, they bore the heavy responsibility of maintaining the Family's honor and dignity. Naturally, they could not become the playthings of men; otherwise, it would be a defilement of the title of Golden Crow Goddess.

The other Ancestors were entirely different. Although all unmarried women in the Golden Crow Clan were honored with the title of Goddess, in certain situations, those Ancestors might not truly uphold justice for them.

For instance, if a Golden Crow Goddess with a powerful background was bullied, no matter how substantial the enemy's background or how many Chaos Emperor Realm experts backed them, those Ancestors would step forward without hesitation to reclaim justice for the Goddess.

However, if it were a Golden Crow Goddess without a background—for example, if her parents were merely ordinary Chaos Domain Realm Cultivators while the enemy possessed a powerful backer like a Chaos Emperor Realm expert—the attitude of the other Ancestors might change.

They might only demand an apology and compensation. As long as the other party provided a satisfactory gift, these Ancestors would not necessarily continue to pursue the matter or truly consider the Goddess's well-being.

After all, in their hearts, such a Goddess was no longer that high and mighty, esteemed existence.

Yet, only the Fifth Ancestor, Jinwu Ji, was different. She would truly take the interests of these Goddesses to heart and consider things from their perspective, forming a sharp contrast with the other Ancestors.
