293: The Shenyue Cult breaks into the mountain gate! [Explosive Update]

Shangguan Yan repeated the words in a low voice, a hint of confusion flashing in her clear, cold eyes.

She had been traveling the Jianghu, searching for her origins and the trail of her enemies, and looking for her mother. Her heart was like still water, moving only towards her goals.

But this mysterious and powerful man had carved a mark in her heart in a way she had never experienced before.

She didn't know who he was, where he came from, or where he was going.

However, his unfathomable martial arts, his composure in the face of deadly poison, and his seemingly indifferent yet warm actions formed a huge enigma, attracting her to investigate.

"Fate..."

Shangguan Yan softly uttered the word, her eyes gradually becoming clear and firm.

She put away her phoenix blood sword, took one last look in the direction Lu Jiuyuan had disappeared, and deeply buried that figure and the phrase "If fate allows, we shall meet again" in her heart.

"If fate allows, Shangguan Yan will surely repay your kindness!"

Then, she turned around, her robes fluttering in the wind, and began to walk in a different direction from where Lu Jiuyuan had departed.

Her back remained cold and aloof, but her eyes seemed to hold something more than before.

It was gratitude, curiosity, and perhaps, a faint expectation of meeting again that even she hadn't clearly perceived.

The desert wind and sand did not touch Lu Jiuyuan's robes in the slightest. He carried the dragon soul blade on his back, his figure like lightning. After finding a place to sleep for an hour or so, he galloped towards the main altar of the Divine Moon Cult.

He had no intention of hiding his tracks; or rather, his journey was a deliberate visit.

If he didn't kill the two BOSSes, Ban Tianyue and Ouyang Feiying, how could these two strongest forces in the Western Regions be conquered?

He charged all the way, without any concealment. The atmosphere at the Divine Moon Cult's main altar was therefore solemn and heavily guarded.

Along the mountain path, there was a guard every five steps and a sentry every ten steps, all elite Disciples of the Divine Moon Cult, with drawn swords and crossbows strung, as if facing a formidable enemy.

Lu Jiuyuan ignored them, walking directly up the mountain path.

Each step he took seemed to fall into a strange rhythm, and the invisible yet majestic Aura around him spread silently like mercury flowing across the ground.

"Stop! Who goes there? This is the Forbidden Ground of the Divine Moon Cult. Trespassers die!"

A guard Disciple bravely shouted, pointing his long saber at Lu Jiuyuan.

Lu Jiuyuan's gaze didn't even sweep towards him; he simply kept walking, his steps unbroken.

The shouting squad leader and the dozens of Disciples beside him felt an indescribable immense force pressing down from thin air, as if the entire world was rejecting them!

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

A continuous series of kneeling sounds rang out. Those Disciples couldn't even muster a thought of resistance before they involuntarily fell to their knees,

their bones creaking all over, unable to even lift their heads, only watching in terror as a pair of grey cloth boots calmly walked past them.

Lu Jiuyuan walked all the way like this. Wherever he passed, the Disciples of the Divine Moon Cult fell to their knees like harvested wheat, no one able to stop him in the slightest.

Old Lu Jiuyuan had always been a good person and never killed indiscriminately. These ordinary Disciples were not worth his effort; his Aura alone was enough to make them understand the chasm between them.

Ban Tianyue sat high on the Cult Master's throne, a painted mask concealing his expression, but the gaze that shot through the mask's holes was utterly cold.

He listened to his subordinate's trembling urgent report, his fingers gripping the armrest turning slightly white from exertion.

"That old geezer is watching me make a fool of myself. The dragon soul blade has been stolen for so long, and he still hasn't made a move!"

"Old Ghost Lu is going too far! He's indeed coming for this Cult Master!"

Ban Tianyue's voice carried suppressed fury. "Pass down the order, activate the Wind, Fire, Mountain, Forest formation!

This Cult Master wants to see if Lu Jiuyuan truly has three heads and six arms!

I want him to lose half of his True Qi before he even reaches the mountain peak!"

On the treacherous mountain path in front of the Divine Moon Cult's main altar, as Ban Tianyue's order was given, four distinct yet equally sharp Auras suddenly erupted,

like four unsheathed sharp swords, locking onto Lu Jiuyuan, who was slowly ascending.

"Wind!"

With a clear shout, dozens of Disciples in green robes appeared on the cliff face to the left of the mountain path. Their movements were light and swift like the wind, carrying poisoned crossbows and darts.

They continuously leaped and weaved through the trees. In an instant, countless cold stars, like a violent storm, enveloped Lu Jiuyuan, sealing off all his dodging space.

"Heavenly Dipper Primordial Energy!"

The power of ice and fire formed a transparent Origin Qi shield on his body. The projectiles that shot towards him were blocked, floating within the Origin Qi shield.

As Lu Jiuyuan's True Qi surged, the suspended projectiles returned at an even faster speed.

Immediately, a dense chorus of screams echoed through the mountain forest.

"Fire!"

With a furious roar, a group of red-robed Disciples suddenly surged from the right side of the mountain path.

They carried specially made oil bladders filled with fierce fire oil on their backs, and held refined iron nozzles in their hands. Igniting the oil and propelling it with Internal Energy, scorching fire dragons roared out, instantly turning the entire section of the mountain path into a Hell of flames!

The heat distorted the air, and rocks crackled as they burned.

Lu Jiuyuan faced these heaven-burning, sea-boiling flames with an unchanging expression. The power of ice continuously condensed in his palm, finally forming an ice-blue sphere.

He pushed it forward!

A bone-chilling white cold Qi swept out like an arctic storm. Wherever it passed, the raging flames, as if meeting their nemesis, were extinguished.

The cold Qi's momentum did not decrease, directly enveloping the group of red-robed Disciples.

With a "crack" sound, dozens of fire-division Disciples were frozen into lifelike ice sculptures, maintaining their flame-spraying postures, their faces still solidified with expressions of horror.

"Mountain!"

At the bend of the mountain path ahead, a line of burly men in earthy yellow heavy armor blocked the way like a city wall.

They held giant shields and heavy axes, their steps heavy, each step causing the mountain path to tremble slightly. The formation they formed was as solid as a mountain, exuding an unshakeable Aura.

This was the Divine Moon Cult's assault force, specialized in frontal assaults and resisting strong enemies.

This time, Lu Jiuyuan didn't even raise his hand; he simply kept walking, his steps unbroken.

When he stepped within three zhang of the heavy-armored strongmen's formation, the invisible pressure around him suddenly materialized, crushing down like a true great mountain!

"Boom!"

The heavy-armored strongmen in the front row felt as if their entire spirit was enveloped by an unimaginable killing intent.

That killing intent was like mountains and seas, as if tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of wronged souls were wailing.

Their spirits instantly collapsed, their Internal Energy, without mental restraint, immediately scattered, leading to Qi Deviation.

One by one, they coughed up blood and fell backward, collapsing to the ground.

Seemingly impregnable, they were in fact like a paper-thin city wall, collapsing at the slightest touch!
