319: The finale!

Under the gaze of the entire Universe, the armies of the three races were completely slaughtered in this manner.

It was this very scene that caused the hearts of all the Human Race within the Hongtian Universe—already dominated by humans—to surge with even greater intensity.

"So strong!"

"So our race was actually this powerful in ancient history!"

As the great war concluded.

A ripple spread out from above, and another scene appeared.

The same continent, yet a different scene.

Countless fluttering national flags, countless cities situated upon the land... and innumerable citizens filled with pride and glory, holding wine cups aloft as they looked toward the grand palace complexes faintly visible in the sky.

The figure of the young man in the purple-gold imperial robe from before emerged. With a smile on his face, he spoke slowly.

"The Great Zhou, a prosperous age!"

"The Human Race shall flourish!"

"Celebrate!"

All the citizens drained their cups in one gulp and roared in unison.

"To Your Majesty!"

"Celebrate!!!"

This scene directly caused the blood of every human in the Hongtian Universe to boil.

"Celebrate!!!" Although everyone knew this was a reflection of history, they couldn't help but join in, shouting along.

"Hahaha! How satisfying!!!"

"Unify the world!"

"The Old Ancestors are awesome!!!"

"Don't worry, Old Ancestors! We have now conquered the entire starry sky as well!"

"We juniors are no worse than you! Hahaha!!!"

Just when everyone thought the images would end there.

Another ripple fluctuated.

This was a magnificent and spectacular palace.

Everyone in the Hongtian Universe felt a stir in their hearts, and the same answer occurred to them all at once.

This was the palace complex in the sky from the previous scene.

Following that.

A garden like a fairyland appeared, where children's laughter rang out as crisp as bells.

"Giggle...!"

"Brother Yan! Brother Yan!"

"Stop running! We can't catch up!"

Four children dressed in lavish clothing were chasing a boy wearing noble black-and-gold attire.

In this instant.

The entire Hongtian Universe fell silent, and the pupils of every human contracted.

Especially those familiar with Lin Yan, who had already begun to suspect based on the first scene, felt their hearts tremble.

This familiar clothing, that familiar silhouette, and even more so, those two words!

Brother Yan...!!!

In this instant.

Within Blue Star, the lips of Lian Chuan and the other three parted slightly as goosebumps broke out all over their bodies.

"This... this is..."

"Is this us?!!"

In this instant.

On the shattered continent, Lin Yan pursed his lips, his eyes gazing with complex emotions at a spot not far from the five children in the image.

There, the young man in the purple-gold imperial robe was sitting leisurely in a pavilion with four men and an old man, smiling as they watched the frolicking children.

Those four men were precisely the same Lian Jue and others whom Lin Yan had seen in the Land of Darkness and Desolation.

And that old man was exactly the one not far from him now... Ancient Time.

So.

Is it finally coming?

Is the reason for leaving about to appear?

Just as this thought crossed his mind.

Boom—!

A thunderous sound rang out.

The image shook.

The extreme sense of realism even caused the Hongtian Universe to tremble.

In the image, the young man in the imperial robe narrowed his eyes and slowly looked up.

Numerous powerful figures seen in the first image appeared instantly, gazing into the sky.

"Heh... hehehe..." A voice filled with destruction and tyranny echoed.

"To actually discover a Universe on the verge of advancing in dimension."

"What incredible luck..."

As the words fell.

The sky in the image began to shatter continuously, as if something incredibly terrifying and eerie was trying to force its way in.

Hearing this voice, the young man in the imperial robe slowly broke into a smile. He unhurriedly picked up a teacup from the table beside him and took a sip.

"Dimensions...?"

"It seems there's something to do again."

Not just him, but the many figures in the sky also revealed hearty smiles, looking as if they had been stifled for too long.

"Hahaha!"

"This lord's great halberd has long been thirsty."

"Hey? Lord Lu!"

"Don't you dare compete with me in a moment!"

"Get lost! To each their own ability!"

In the pavilion, the young man in the imperial robe withdrew his gaze and spoke indifferently.

"Kill!"

Then, ignoring the roaring and shaking of the entire world, he looked directly at the five children in the nearby garden who were staring up at the sky.

More accurately, he looked at the boy in the middle wearing black-and-gold attire.

"This boy is still young; he has his own path."

"Let those four little fellows accompany him."

As the words fell.

The four men and the old man in the pavilion were overjoyed and did not hesitate for a moment.

"Yes."

The young man in the imperial robe nodded slightly. He glanced at the continuously shattering vast land and the crumbling palace complexes, his brow furrowing slightly.

"Dimensional power... it does have some substance."

He paused.

"The five of you stay behind as well."

"Just in case."

After saying this, he waved his hand toward the five children nearby, tossing them into the depths of the palace complex.

Then, he disappeared from the spot in a single step.

Soon.

What appeared in the eyes of everyone in the Hongtian Universe was a continuously shaking image.

Although they couldn't see many details or elements of the battle.

They could see the continent constantly crumbling and the palaces being destroyed.

Until... the entire Universe fell silent.

For within the image that was no longer shaking, a scene of a pitch-black starry sky with twinkling starlight appeared.

And all the images terminated at this moment.

The light reflecting the Universe vanished, and the churning long river receded.

By this time, even the dullest person had an answer in their heart.

Three images: from the Human Race unifying the world, to a prosperous and flourishing age, to a sudden foreign enemy, and the crumbling of the continent.

So... that's how the starry sky evolved!

So... it was because they encountered an even more powerful enemy... Lin Yan remained silent for a long time.

Until.

"Elder Gu."

He looked at Ancient Time, who was already quietly watching him.

"How do I go find them?"

Ancient Time had long expected his question.

He pointed at the giant cauldron that had returned to silence.

"Imperial Son."

"Your current strength is still not enough."

"His Majesty left something else for you."

"Go."

"After you come out, you will know how to get there."

After I come out...?

Lin Yan turned his gaze toward the giant cauldron again, his heart stirring.

This is...?

He discovered that he actually had a very deep connection with the giant cauldron!

And in that very instant.

Swish—!

He disappeared from the spot.

Watching all this, Ancient Time smiled slightly and muttered to himself as his figure slowly vanished.

"You brat."

"Never mind that I let you have a Rebirth once; I even gave you the cauldron, yet you still can't keep up with the Imperial Son."

"You really deserve a beating..."

...The End!

It's finished! After typing these three words, I sat in a daze for a long while.

This is the second book I've written since May 2023, but it's not exactly the second one in the truest sense.

Many old fans should know that after my first book finished, I failed with three others. Those three were actually like this one; I wanted to write a crossover, I really did, but the results were disastrous.

Amidst my confusion, I decided to persist with my vision for this one. At the time, I thought, "forget it, I must finish writing this one."

As it turned out... it flopped as expected... but!

I want to thank the big boss Wendo Buxiu, and all the readers who spoke up for me or silently supported me. You gave me the motivation when I was lost once again.

However, just as I became determined to keep writing, changes in my real-life job disrupted all my plans.

I yielded.

Although I know many readers, especially fans of the old book, wanted to see a specific crossover between Lin Yu and Lin Yan, I simply couldn't manage it.

So, to those fans, I bow and apologize.

Rather than updating once every few days, I would rather accept your criticism and bring about this ending that, in your eyes, is not a Perfection.

As for anything else... I don't know what to say... I can only wish everyone happiness for your whole family, and may everything go smoothly and safely as the Spring Festival approaches!

If fate allows and I have the time, I hope we will meet again one day!

...(Finished!!!)
