Deathmatch
The scene shifted to the center of the Blood Ring Arena.
I have to admit, although the people from the Flash Guild were arrogant, they really had some skills.
They finished the battles in the first three rounds in under three minutes.
That was until they encountered their opponent in the fourth round.
The Gladiator for the fourth round was a Troll Hunter who could switch between melee and ranged attack modes and also had a brown bear animal companion.
The group could be said to have pulled out all the stops, losing two members before finally defeating the Troll Hunter.
"The Flash Guild actually has some substance; they really completed a four-win streak."
"A piece of Platinum equipment each—they made a killing."
Walking out of the arena, Zheng Xiaolong looked toward the group of Professionals from Tianfeng City, gave them a thumbs-up, and then flipped it 180 degrees.
He looked at Zhao Feng and the others provocatively.
"This guy is too arrogant!" Zhao Feng and the others remained silent, while Xiao Bin, standing behind them, gritted his teeth.
"Are we just going to take this?"
"What else can we do?" Chen Ming was also feeling miserable. "Why don't you go and get a four-win streak yourself?"
Xiao Bin was rendered speechless by the retort.
Indeed, the reason Zheng Xiaolong was so arrogant was precisely because he had achieved a four-win streak.
His strength surpassed ninety-nine percent of the challengers present.
Chen Ming sighed, "When you aren't as strong as the other person, just hold it in."
Cui Xianglong stood with his arms crossed, his gaze shifting toward Lin Yuan, who was wearing headphones and scrolling through videos in his seat.
It was as if everything in the outside world had nothing to do with him.
And that was indeed the case. Once you are already a King, is there any point in watching a bunch of Bronze-tier players pecking at each other like noobs? Obviously not.
Cui Xianglong reached out and patted Lin Yuan on the shoulder. The latter took off his headphones with a confused look. "Something up?"
Cui Xianglong said, "The people from the Flash Guild achieved a four-win streak, currently the highest in the entire event."
"If no one surpasses them before it ends, they will be the MVP of this competition."
"The MVP title isn't worth much, but the key is that it's the Flash Guild who got it."
"On our own home turf in Tianfeng City, letting people from Shanhe City take the MVP is embarrassing."
"Is that it?" Lin Yuan put his headphones back on. "Relax, the sky isn't going to fall."
Among the subsequent challengers, quite a few teams achieved a three-win streak, but there wasn't a single four-win streak.
"Next, we invite Challenger No. 324 to enter."
The host, Dihaile, yawned. With less than ten teams left, he wanted to finish quickly so he could leave this weak planet.
The souls of ten powerful individuals—the task assigned by the Lord of Blood was too difficult to complete.
Dihaile called out, but no one in the entire Blood Ring Arena responded. Dihaile was somewhat dissatisfied. "Who is Challenger No. 324? Are they planning to forfeit?"
Up to this point, no team had ever forfeited. Even if they knew they couldn't win, they would still give it a shot.
After calling twice, Dihaile snapped his fingers. A beam of light descended from the sky, landing on Lin Yuan. Lin Yuan looked up and realized his number tag in his pocket was vibrating, knowing it was his turn to enter.
Taking off his headphones, Lin Yuan stood up from his seat.
Seeing that Lin Yuan was alone, Dihaile asked, "One person?"
"Where are your teammates?"
"Me." Lin Yuan stretched his body slightly. "I don't have any teammates."
"Yeah, and you don't need teammates anyway, since they're all just trash waiting to be one-shotted." Not far away, Zheng Xiaolong sat with his legs crossed, looking over. "Are you people from Tianfeng City always this good at grandstanding?"
"One million just went down the drain like that."
"You should know that one million could buy several pieces of Silver equipment."
After Zheng Xiaolong finished, his teammates joined in the heckling. "Level 18, and a Summoner at that? I really don't know how you have the courage to stand here."
"It's easy for you to spend a million, but do you know how hard it is for your family to earn it?"
"Do you know that you are bringing shame to Tianfeng City?"
"Because of your individual actions, Tianfeng City has become the laughingstock of the entire Southeast Province."
"Hehehehe!" A strange, eerie laughter appeared in everyone's ears. All the Professionals felt a chill down their spines, as if some incredible monster had descended upon this place.
Ghost appeared behind Lin Yuan at some unknown moment.
With a simple wave of his hand, a loud rumble echoed! A throne made of white bones appeared out of thin air above the arena.
The reason for placing the Bone Throne above the arena was because Ghost wanted to pair it with a newly acquired skill, allowing Lin Yuan to make a stunning entrance.
【Bone Wall】 (S)
Skill Description: Consumes 100 Mana points to summon a Bone Wall with 1000 HP and 100 Defense in front of the user. The Bone Wall lasts for 10 minutes and has no cooldown. One hundred Bone Walls can be combined to form a Bone Rampart.
Lin Yuan lifted his foot. Bang. A staircase made of Bone Walls appeared out of thin air beneath his feet. He continued to step forward; with every lift of his foot, a bone staircase appeared beneath him.
Lin Yuan took a total of twenty-three steps; twenty-three bone staircases stood in the sky. That was the path he took to ascend the throne.
Sitting on the throne, Lin Yuan snapped his fingers. A Li and Ghost appeared beneath the throne.
Lin Yuan hunched his back, looking down at Dihaile from his high vantage point. "Start."
"Ah, start." Dihaile woke from his daze.
He had just been stunned by Lin Yuan's entrance.
Not just him, but the entire Blood Ring Arena, with over three thousand Professionals, was simultaneously stunned.
Zheng Xiaolong's teammates had their mouths open so wide that a ball could fit inside.
Zheng Xiaolong himself wasn't much better off; the lollipop he had put back in his mouth had fallen onto his clothes at some point, and he was covered in his own drool.
Luo Yushang's eyes held confusion. What kind of new trick was this?
I have to say, the entrance was truly unique—quite cool!
Dihaile calmed himself down. "Let us welcome Challenger No. 324."
"He is about to face our excellent Gladiator all by himself."
"We wish him good luck."
Although Lin Yuan's entrance was very special, he was, after all, only a Level 18 Summoner. A Level 18 Summoner fighting a Level 27 Ogre Warrior—the odds of winning were still too slim.
"Stop. When did I say I chose Challenge mode?" Lin Yuan was somewhat displeased. "Arrange a Deathmatch for me."
"Ah?" Dihaile thought he had misheard. "Deathmatch?"
"Are you sure?"
At this moment, the surrounding Professionals had finally recovered from Lin Yuan's stunning entrance, but upon hearing that Lin Yuan had chosen a Deathmatch, they were instantly confused again.
"He chose a Deathmatch?"
"Why? Isn't it better to stay alive?"
"Even if you can't complete the First Class Advancement quest in this lifetime, you could live quite well just by arranging that kind of entrance for others."
"Why choose a Deathmatch and seek death?"
Lin Yandong grew anxious. "President Luo, quickly stop Lin Yuan."
"He absolutely must not choose Deathmatch mode."
