69: Chapter 69 Du Aoling's Phone Call

Wang Yaoyao returned very quickly.

Carrying her small bag on her back, she took a deliberate look downstairs as she walked in.

Zhang Ling and Wang Hui hadn't returned yet.

Wang Yaoyao finally breathed a sigh of relief and pulled Jiang Li toward the second floor.

"Brother Jiang, let's go."

"Why so mysterious?" Jiang Li glanced at her.

Wang Yaoyao didn't answer, quickly pulling him into the private room called "Free Tonight."

As soon as the door closed, Jiang Li reflexively took a look inside.

He had to admit, Zhang Ling's decor was really something.

Some flower petals were scattered on the table and sofa, and a small lamp by the wall was turned on. Its light wasn't glaring, but it easily made one's mind wander.

What was even more outrageous was that there was a one-way window facing the street in the private room...

You could see the street from the inside, but you couldn't see inside from the outside.

Jiang Li stood by the window for two seconds and couldn't help but be impressed.

How on earth was Zhang Ling's brain wired?

Is this even a fucking flower shop?

No wonder she had a stable base of regular customers...

If he had met some girl here, he would also have to come here a few times a month.

Wang Yaoyao put her bag on the sofa, turned back to look at Jiang Li, gently licked her lips, and her voice softened.

"Brother Jiang, it's so beautiful here."

"Do you want to experience it here?"

As she spoke, Wang Yaoyao leaned back onto the sofa, opened her bag, took out a small Valentino bag, and then pulled out a pair of Balenciaga stockings.

Jiang Li raised an eyebrow.

Good lord!

He had thought Wang Yaoyao went to the car to get something important, but it turned out this girl went to get her gear.

What else could he do?

He could only lock the door...

...

An hour later.

Just as Jiang Li and Wang Yaoyao were discussing life at the critical moment, Wang Yaoyao suddenly patted his arm.

"Brother."

Her voice trembled slightly.

"It seems Zhang Ling and the other are back."

"Understood," Jiang Li replied.

But it was merely a reply.

The arrow was on the string; he couldn't just force it back, could he?

Anyway, it was a seller's market now. Wang Hui and Zhang Ling surely wouldn't mind waiting just this little bit of time.

Downstairs.

Zhang Ling and Wang Hui walked into the shop one after the other.

Zhang Ling held a stack of documents in her hand.

The property deed, shop details, and equipment inventory list were all prepared perfectly.

She was truly afraid of any complications from a long delay now.

This one million seemed like nothing more than a nod of the head to Jiang Li.

But to her, it was the most urgent life-saving money right now.

"Sister Hui."

Zhang Ling lowered her voice and asked, "You said earlier that you know someone who can help speed up the transfer process. Is that true?"

Wang Hui nodded.

"Of course it's true."

"But it's not like we're breaking the rules."

"Once the materials are ready, I can have someone check them for you first, so there'll be less hassle when you go tomorrow."

"Our county already has very few industries."

"Buying a commercial property to keep running a shop like this is considered adding vitality to the commercial street."

"As long as the procedures are in order, they'll make it as fast as possible."

Zhang Ling finally breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good."

She was really afraid of delays.

For every day it dragged on, her heart would remain in suspense.

Just then, she suddenly paused.

"Sister Hui."

"Do you hear some sound?"

Wang Hui also fell silent.

A slight noise came from upstairs.

The rhythm was quite steady.

Wang Hui was stunned.

"Could they be doing renovations upstairs?"

"Huh?"

Zhang Ling's face instantly turned red.

Renovations?

Who on earth does renovations only on the sofa!

Although she had never eaten pork, she had run this second floor for so long that she had seen pigs run, so to speak.

"Um... Sister Hui."

Zhang Ling whispered, "How about we go up a bit later?"

Wang Hui looked at her in confusion.

"Why?"

As soon as she asked, she realized.

Wang Hui immediately covered her mouth.

"It couldn't be..."

Zhang Ling nodded awkwardly.

"My decor has quite a lot of style."

"In the past, customers would often lose themselves in the moment."

Wang Hui's lip twitched.

This is called having style?

This is clearly having a knack for it!

She couldn't help but glance upstairs, feeling a wave of emotion in her heart.

Young people nowadays are truly wild.

If she were to do something like this, she wouldn't even dare to think about it...

Wang Hui coughed.

"Then let's wait a bit."

"It shouldn't take too long."

Zhang Ling thought about it and felt the same.

Although she wasn't an experienced person like Wang Hui, she had heard enough about this kind of thing to have some understanding.

"Then I'll go buy a few drinks."

"They'll probably be down by the time I get back."

Wang Hui nodded.

Zhang Ling walked out the door with her phone.

A dozen or so minutes later.

Zhang Ling returned carrying four drinks.

Yet, Wang Hui was still sitting alone on the first floor.

Zhang Ling looked at the stairs, then at Wang Hui.

"They haven't come down yet?"

Wang Hui's expression was also a bit complicated.

"No."

Zhang Ling fell silent.

Wait, what?

She had gone all the way out.

Buying the drinks, waiting for them to be made, and walking back—after all this time, they still weren't finished?

This was too ridiculous, wasn't it?

...

After another half an hour, there was finally some movement upstairs.

Jiang Li walked down, supporting Wang Yaoyao.

Wang Yaoyao usually looked quite sturdy, since she came from a Gym.

But right now, she couldn't even walk down the stairs steadily.

One of her hands supported herself on Jiang Li, while the other gripped the handrail.

The way Zhang Ling and Wang Hui looked at Jiang Li completely changed.

It was as if they were looking at some unsolved mystery of the county.

Wang Hui even slightly regretted that she wasn't a rich woman... Women in their thirties have it hard!

Jiang Li, however, was extremely thick-skinned.

He supported Wang Yaoyao as they reached the first floor, and even smiled upon seeing the two.

"You two just arrived as well, huh? What a coincidence."

Wang Hui: "..."

Zhang Ling: "..."

Wang Yaoyao's face instantly flushed all the way to her ears, not daring to look at Zhang Ling at all.

Zhang Ling didn't dare to look at Wang Yaoyao either.

After all, she was the one who decorated this room.

In a sense, she could be considered an accomplice.

Wang Hui was more mature after all, quickly pretending as if nothing had happened.

"Boss Jiang, I've brought all the paperwork."

"Let's handle the deposit and agreement first."

Jiang Li nodded.

"Alright."

He sat down with Wang Yaoyao.

Wang Yaoyao hadn't fully recovered yet, so her movements were much more careful when she sat down.

The few of them briefly verified the documents.

The property deed was fine.

The shop's equipment inventory list wasn't complicated either.

The freezer, flower racks, packaging station, checkout equipment, and the furnishings in the private rooms on the second floor were all included in the one million.

Jiang Li signed very readily.

Watching from the side, Wang Hui's heart skipped a beat.

Having worked as an agent for so long, she had seen plenty of people drag their feet when buying property.

They could haggle for half a month over a few thousand yuan.

Someone like Jiang Li, who decided right after looking and signed right after asking, was truly rare.

After signing, Jiang Li said, "As for the remaining procedures, I'll have Yaoyao go with you to handle them tomorrow."

Wang Hui was stunned.

She had actually heard Jiang Li say earlier that this shop was being opened for Wang Yaoyao.

But she had assumed only the operating rights were being given to Wang Yaoyao.

She hadn't expected him to have Wang Yaoyao participate in the follow-up procedures as well.

The meaning was very obvious.

Even the property deed was going to be registered under Wang Yaoyao's name!

The way Wang Hui looked at Wang Yaoyao instantly became complicated.

Just a moment ago, she had felt it was a pity she wasn't a rich woman.

Now, she suddenly felt much more at peace.

Let alone not being a rich woman.

Even if she really were a rich woman, she probably wouldn't be able to keep someone like Jiang Li...

...

After the procedures were handled, Zhang Ling felt a lot more relaxed.

Although the shop hadn't been fully transferred yet, at least it was finalized.

Wang Hui also packed up the documents.

"Boss Jiang, then we'll get in touch tomorrow morning."

"Alright."

Jiang Li saw the two of them off.

Once the shop became quiet again, a system prompt suddenly rang in his mind.

[Ding!]

[Detected that Wang Yaoyao's wish mission will be completed tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM.]

[Distributing mission rewards in advance...]

[Host, please proceed to Yihao Mansion tomorrow to receive your villa.]

Jiang Li's eyes lit up slightly.

It was a success!

The Yihao Mansion villa was finally here.

Now, he would never have to use the shop as a temporary base again.

In an excellent mood, Jiang Li was just about to lock the door and take Wang Yaoyao upstairs for another look.

His phone suddenly chimed.

He picked it up and took a look.

Du Aoling had sent him a message.

[Brother Jiang, I'm so bored. Can I come hang out with you tomorrow?]

Jiang Li was stunned for a moment.

Who was Du Aoling again? Why did her name sound so much like Du Aoting's?

After reacting for a few seconds, Jiang Li finally remembered.

Wasn't this little girl Du Aoting's younger sister, that soon-to-be college student?!
