206: Imperial Capital, Kings Gather

On this day, the powerful clans of the Imperial Capital, Teng Imperial City, gathered, and the situation changed.

Countless powerhouses arrived, and besides the common people watching the excitement, there were also teams of soldiers maintaining order at the palace gates and on the streets.

If one were to walk among them, one could perceive the Qi of countless powerhouses, many of whom were Supremes.

The gates of the Imperial Capital were towering and majestic, guarded by countless soldiers.

Today, the city gates were wide open, symbolizing the entry of heroes from all over the world.

Ye Kong walked and stopped along the way; this was his first time coming to this Imperial Capital.

Above the Ten Kingdoms of the Human Race, there was an Imperial Capital, the absolute core of the Human Race.

Although the kings of the Ten Kingdoms governed independently, they all had to obey the orders of the Emperor of the Imperial Capital.

In this Imperial Capital, Ye Kong quickly sensed many Qi that he had never perceived before, presumably from powerhouses of other great nations of the Human Race, possessing extraordinary and powerful talents.

He had not yet seen the Dragon Kingdom Royal Family, but as the day progressed, all participants of the Tournament were required to gather in front of the main hall within the Imperial City.

The streets were bustling with people, and many locals of the Imperial City stood on the roadside to watch.

Among them were many Young Masters and Young Misses from prominent families.

Previously, when Ye Kong entered the Dragon Kingdom Royal City of Kyoto, he had never seen such a grand display; the market streets were incredibly lively.

Ye Kong looked around but didn't see any familiar faces.

Suddenly, Ye Kong felt an ominous Qi.

Ye Kong looked towards that Qi and saw a cloaked figure.

His hat was pulled low, obscuring his face, and he didn't greet anyone.

Ye Kong didn't think much of it; perhaps this was another type of powerhouse participating in the Tournament.

Now, many people were rushing towards the Imperial City, as time was running out.

Ye Kong also wanted to quickly reach the Imperial City's main hall, but today, to prevent accidents, the Imperial Capital had implemented airspace control, prohibiting the use of flying techniques without permission.

Therefore, Ye Kong could only slowly move forward with the crowd towards the Imperial Palace's main hall.

As Ye Kong was walking properly, someone happened to bump into him.

Ye Kong frowned, not speaking immediately, waiting to see what the other person would say.

The other person was quite burly, nearly two meters tall, with a fierce look. After bumping into Ye Kong, seeing that Ye Kong didn't move, he immediately lost his temper.

"You kid, I'm in a hurry, get out of my way!"

Ye Kong was stunned; he hadn't expected that in this capital Imperial Capital, someone would dare to act so arrogantly during the Ten Kingdoms Tournament, a gathering of heroes!

Ye Kong didn't move then, standing still and looking at the big man playfully.

The big man was also stunned, not expecting Ye Kong to remain motionless.

However, his eyes moved slightly, and after a brief moment of surprise, he opened his mouth wide.

"You, you are Ye Kong! The Asura Supreme?"

At the big man's shout, all the surrounding pedestrians turned their heads to look at Ye Kong.

"It really is him!"

"Why is Ye Kong here? Is he going to participate in the Ten Kingdoms Tournament?"

"I heard that Ye Kong offended the God Family of the Dragon Kingdom, the Ye Family. Does he still have the qualification to participate in the Tournament?"

"Without the guarantee of a powerful Family, one cannot enter the Ten Kingdoms Tournament!"

Of course, many people who had long admired Ye Kong's reputation squeezed forward, giving Ye Kong encouraging glances.

"Ye Kong! Go for it!"

"Ye Kong, the hope of the Human Race!"

The big man looked around, realizing he had picked a fight with the wrong person today, and reluctantly apologized to Ye Kong: "Sorry, I wasn't looking."

Ye Kong knew time was short and didn't want to argue with him, so he nodded and walked forward... Soon, Ye Kong arrived in front of the Imperial Palace gates.

The guards here were even stricter than at the main gate; a cordon had been set up far from the Imperial Palace gates.

Many powerhouses and common people were crowded outside the cordon, watching the participants of the Tournament enter the palace, occasionally erupting into heated discussions.

Amidst the crowd, Ye Kong suddenly saw a familiar figure.

—Long Ao.

Ye Kong's mouth curved upwards; Long Ao had also come to participate in the Tournament.

No matter what, Long Ao was the first acquaintance he had seen in the Imperial Capital, and Ye Kong felt a bit nostalgic for the days when he competed with Long Ao.

Long Ao and his Dragon Family attendants walked together to the palace gates, where they were stopped by guards to record their names.

"Approved, God Family Dragon Family — Long Ao!"

The guard finished the record, loudly announced Long Ao's name, and then allowed Long Ao and his group to pass.

The onlookers immediately erupted in discussion.

"It's Long Ao! I remember he was once recognized as a prodigy, but then someone named Ye Kong appeared."

"Yes, it's that Asura Supreme Ye Kong. He defeated Long Ao in the Ten Thousand Clans Tournament, and since then, we haven't heard much about Long Ao."

Another person said, "Indeed, now that Long Ao is participating in the Ten Kingdoms Tournament again, he must have made a big Breakthrough."

"That's true, but I still favor Ye Kong. Haven't you seen the news about Ye Kong fighting against gods several times?"

"That's hard to say. Although Ye Kong is strong, it's relative to the younger generation."

"And the Ten Kingdoms Tournament doesn't distinguish by age or combat power; anyone below a god who qualifies can participate. Ye Kong might not necessarily be able to defeat some 'legendary' figures of our Human Race."

Upon hearing this, Ye Kong couldn't help but wonder what kind of talents these "legendary" figures truly were.

Since Ye Kong arrived late, it wasn't long before it was his turn.

Ye Kong had no attendants, nor did he see anyone from the Dragon Kingdom Royal Family in the crowd, so he walked to the palace gates alone.

"Who is this person? Why does he have no attendants?"

These noble Young Masters and Young Misses of the Imperial Capital all sneered.

In their eyes, what future could someone without attendants possibly have?

At most, they were just country bumpkins coming for a one-round tour of the Ten Kingdoms Tournament to see the world.

Chen Fan walked to the palace gates alone, and the bewildered onlookers let out a chorus of boos.

Ye Kong's heart remained calm as he walked directly towards the guards.

The guards, however, did not discriminate and still saluted Ye Kong.

Then they asked Ye Kong to state his identity.

Ye Kong directly said, "I am Ye Kong, my title is Asura Supreme."

The guard was stunned, carefully looked at Ye Kong's appearance, and then blurted out, "It really is him!"

Because Ye Kong had appeared on Kyoto TV news reports multiple times, and his actions and achievements had shocked the Human Race, many people could recognize Ye Kong.

The guard immediately asked, "Ye Kong, everyone can see your strength, but this Ten Kingdoms Tournament requires an introduction from a powerful Family to participate."

The guard showed a troubled expression.

Ye Kong smiled slightly and said, "Please check the list of the Dragon Kingdom Royal Family."

The guard said, "Oh," opened the documents in his hand, searched, and indeed found Ye Kong's name on the Dragon Kingdom's representative list.

The guard then loudly reported, "Verified, Dragon Kingdom Royal Family representative — Ye Kong!"

As this name was announced, the sounds of sneering abruptly stopped, and the entire venue fell silent.

Everyone's eyes widened.

What? This person is the Asura Supreme Ye Kong?

Ye Kong paid no attention; people were previously arrogant and now respectful, something Ye Kong was already quite used to.

Next, he would only use his true strength to prove who was the ant!
