93: Lin family competition (3)!

As Lin Tianyu's voice fell, in the next moment, more than a dozen Lin Family Affairs Managers appeared above all the contestants, surrounding them.

After surrounding the crowd, the dozen or so Lin Family Affairs Managers remained still, standing solemnly in the air like soldiers awaiting orders, waiting for the next command from Lin Tianyu, their "general."

Hmm?

What's going on?

Seeing this scene, the many participating Lin Family members were also full of confusion, but soon Lin Tianyu told them exactly what this meant...

"Next, we will first conduct the first item of the competition, the test of willpower..."

"They will be your examiners later. They will continuously pressure you with their might. What you need to do is resist with your own strength, for a time limit of one minute."

"Anyone who resists by means other than their own strength will be considered cheating and will be directly disqualified from the competition; at the same time, anyone who is crushed or faints halfway will also be eliminated directly and will not be able to participate in the subsequent competition."

"Of course, if you cannot hold on, you can also choose to withdraw without any penalty..."

After hearing Lin Tianyu's words, some of the participating Lin Family members immediately showed disdain: "That's it? So simple? Isn't that just casually passing, haha."

"Exactly, with this kind of test, let alone one minute, ten minutes is no problem!"

"Exactly."

"Shh! Be careful not to be heard by the Elders, or they'll disqualify you."

...

Little did they know, with the cultivation of Lin Tianyu and the others, the whispers these Lin Family members thought were private couldn't be hidden from Lin Tianyu and the others at all.

In the eyes of Lin Tianyu and the others, it was no different from saying it to their faces...

In the air, a subtle, almost imperceptible smile curled up at the corner of Lin Tianyu's mouth.

"Begin!"

Lin Tianyu spoke lightly.

The dozen or so Lin Family Affairs Managers instantly received the signal. In the next moment, more than a dozen powerful Venerable Realm might erupted from within them with a bang, directly pressing down on the tens of thousands of participating Lin Family members below.

Although these Affairs Managers were only at the Venerable Realm, their cultivation wasn't too strong, but for these young Lin Family members who were at most in the Cave Heaven Realm, it was enough.

Boom!

The sudden surge of powerful might caught many participating Lin Family members off guard, and many who were unprepared were immediately pressed to their knees.

"Ugh—damn it, get up!"

Fortunately, they weren't immediately crushed, otherwise they would have been directly eliminated.

However, contestants like Lin Yan and others who were constantly prepared, although they stumbled at first, quickly stabilized themselves and weren't too disheveled.

Clearly, the Lin Family was just giving them a warning; it was impossible to start with the maximum pressure, otherwise if everyone was eliminated, what would be the point of this competition? They would be laughed at by other forces...

Looking at the Lin Family members below who were struggling, the smile on Lin Tianyu's face in the air deepened.

Little guys, your Second Master, can't he handle you!

The test continued.

Each of the dozen or so Lin Family Affairs Managers was responsible for only a thousand participating Lin Family members. After all, the cultivation levels of the participating Lin Family members varied, and for the sake of fairness, the corresponding pressure intensity naturally had to be different.

This required the Affairs Managers, as examiners, to expend mental effort and intentionally control the intensity of the pressure on each participating Lin Family member. This meant that these Venerable Realm Affairs Managers were destined to be unable to handle too many participating Lin Family members at once. One thousand participants per person was already their limit.

As for why the Holy Man Realm higher-ups weren't allowed to serve as examiners, wouldn't one person be able to handle it then?

Regarding this, the Lin Family said it was unnecessary.

Why trouble Holy Man Realm experts with something that Venerable Realm Cultivators can do? If Holy Man Realm experts were deployed for everything, what would be the point of keeping these Venerable Realm Cultivators?

If that were the case, it would be better to use those resources to cultivate Holy Man Realm experts, wouldn't it?

"Hmm? The pressure is increasing!"

Someone suddenly shouted.

At the same time, all the participating Lin Family members felt the heavy pressure on them gradually increasing.

Those who could easily resist before suddenly felt a lot more pressure, and many participating Lin Family members had sweat covering their foreheads.

However, for seed contestants like Lin Jinyan, Lin Beixuan, and others, they still looked calm and composed at this time, clearly still able to resist easily without much pressure.

But equally so were Lin Yan and Lin Dong, these two "unknown" branch Lin Family members...

As time passed second by second, the heavy pressure on everyone became stronger and stronger.

At the 29th second, a Lin Family member finally couldn't hold on any longer and was directly pressed to the ground, becoming the first to be eliminated.

"Lin Wu, eliminated!"

The Affairs Manager responsible for Lin Wu and others immediately removed the pressure on the other party and announced loudly at the same time.

Then he waved his hand and gently sent the person below the arena. Several Affairs Managers responsible for treating the injured below the arena quickly stepped forward to check, and after finding no major injuries, they gave the other party a healing pill and sent him to the spectator area.

Lin Wu's elimination was just the beginning.

Soon, people successively couldn't hold on and were eliminated, while some chose to give up themselves.

"Lin Bei, eliminated!"

"Lin Ying, eliminated!"

...

"I can't hold on, I choose to withdraw."

"I'm withdrawing too!"

"This is too difficult, it's nothing like usual. I'm not doing it, I'm withdrawing!"

"Lin Shi, voluntarily withdraws, disqualified!"

"Lin Dong, voluntarily withdraws, disqualified!"

...

In the air, Lin Tianyu looked at the Lin Family members below who chose to give up even though they hadn't reached their limit, and couldn't help but shake his head.

These Lin Family members are destined not to be heavily cultivated by the Lin Family in the future, it's unnecessary.

His Lin Family needs true powerhouses, not vases that retreat and give up when they encounter difficulties.

Compared to these voluntarily withdrawing Lin Family members, they are more willing to cultivate those who persevere until the end and are eliminated.

Even if their talent and foundation are a bit weaker, they possess qualities that these people do not have: firm and strong willpower. Moreover, the Lin Family now possesses treasures like the Spirit Cleansing Pool and the Hongmeng Divine Tree, so talent is not a problem at all.

And one of the reasons why this competition is different from previous ones is also related to them.

Now with them, his Lin Family's cultivation of Lin Family members will no longer be limited by Innate talent. Now they not only value talent but also greatly value the character and conduct of Lin Family members.

If one has good talent and also excellent character and conduct, it is naturally the best, a definite key cultivation target of the Lin Family.

If one has excellent character and conduct but relatively poor Innate talent, it doesn't matter. The Lin Family will still heavily cultivate you, improve your talent, and change your destiny against the heavens!
