132: Chapter 132 The Truth About the Deeper Government Exposed; All the Intelligence Was Wrong

Edward began his account from that night in the underground garage when Link witnessed Grey Alien crawling out of the ventilation ducts.

He went on to describe how he and his staff spent five hours in a fishing cabin at Gold Lake deducing the existence of the Deep State, how Walsh tracked down Kramer's coffin in Los Angeles and unearthed the eyeball of one of Grey Alien,

how the three military-industrial giants fought for their lives at the banquet using the Behemoth Factor and his own liquid zero,

and how officials from the Longevity Faction and the Tech Faction both appeared at the ruins of Warehouse 18, with a fleet of two hundred thousand ships battling in the sky and two thousand Zeta Star flying saucers breaking through a spatial rift to warn Earth to hand over the Fourth Prince...

He did not omit any critical turning points.

The length of the entire story was just enough for Rockefeller III to pour himself two glasses of whiskey.

"...That day in the underground garage of the Las Vegas City Hall, it was the Deep State's Longevity Faction that abducted the Fourth Prince, His Highness Prince Dao Dun."

"And the Long Live Alliance, formed by Musk and me, is now a subordinate force of the Deep State's Tech Faction."

"If you, The Five Great Families, wish to gain the favor of Grey Alien by rescuing the Fourth Prince, and thereby become agents of the Zeta Star to continue consolidating your power on Earth..."

Edward paused here, looked at Rockefeller III, and then delivered his final warning word for word,

"...then what you need to do now is to find the Deep State's Longevity Faction."

"As a side note, the technological level of the Longevity Faction far exceeds the combined military strength of all The Five Great Families."

"You will absolutely not be able to bridge that gap within twenty years."

Samuel placed his cigar on the edge of the ashtray and leaned forward slightly; his old eyes, moistened by whiskey, showed no signs of drunkenness at this moment.

He spoke slowly, but every word carried a sense of cautious confusion.

"Longevity Faction... Tech Faction... Wait a moment."

"Isn't the Deep State Solomon's Jewish Financial Groups? Weren't they propped up by the Mothmen?"

"In the alien storage device we recovered from the wreckage of the saucer belonging to Grey Alien, there are clear recordings of dialogue fragments between those Jewish Financial Groups and the Mothmen conspiring to rule all of humanity."

"Could it be wrong?"

Rockefeller III did not speak, merely raising his glass to his lips and taking a small sip.

His gaze fell calmly on Edward's face from above the rim of the glass, containing neither more nor less than what was expected: the habitual silent reassessment of a patriarch from an old family with a global information network upon discovering a discrepancy between intelligence and reality.

When Edward heard Samuel mention the names "Mothmen" and "Solomon," his brows furrowed slightly, and then he suddenly laughed.

This was the complex smile that an old-school politician only reveals when discovering that aristocrats even older than himself actually have blind spots in their intelligence—half amusement at the absurdity, half sorrow.

"The dignified Five Great Families, the true old-school aristocrats of the America—do you still not know the internal structure of the Deep State?"

"You can't even distinguish between the Longevity Faction and the Tech Faction?"

"You mistook that group of Jewish Financial Groups under Solomon for the Deep State itself, while the Deep State has been researching alien technology under the Hoover Dam for nearly a century, yet you've always thought it was the work of the Mothmen?"

Samuel Astor's left hand, which had been resting on his knee, tightened by half an inch inadvertently, and his breathing grew slightly heavy.

Rockefeller III continued to look at Edward, his face no longer holding the almost kindly composure from before.

He offered no defense, no rebuttal, simply raising his right hand calmly and waving it casually at the attendants behind him.

In less than two minutes, heavy file boxes were brought in from outside the room by the armed attendants and stacked neatly on the floor next to the coffee table.

Rockefeller III leaned forward slightly and lifted the lid of the topmost file box.

"Regarding intelligence on the Deep State, we indeed do not know much at the moment."

"However, if you are willing to tell us..." He tapped his hand gently on the edge of the opened file box, his tone flat, "From this moment on, the contents of these boxes will completely vanish from every inch of the Lighthouse Country."

Edward stood up, walked over to the file boxes, and flipped through a few pages casually.

He flipped through them slowly, from the first box to the second, from the second to the third.

He could recognize the content on every page at a single glance: kickbacks for land transaction approvals, illegal transfers of campaign funds, state government procurement fraud, and records of silencing people disguised as accidents.

The timeline spanned a full hundred years, precise down to every date, every amount of money, and every name that had been erased.

Every illegal act committed by the Warren Family in Nevada since the first generation was neatly stacked in these file boxes.

He put the files back into the box, straightened his back, and looked at Rockefeller III, his expression unchanged, though there was now a bit more weight of respect than when he spoke just a moment ago.

"As expected of the true aristocrats of the America."

"Rockefeller, how long have you been collecting these things?"

"Since my first term as a senator? Or from the day I started taking over family affairs even earlier?"

Rockefeller III noncommittally picked up his whiskey glass and took a sip.

He placed the glass back on the coffee table, gently scraped the condensation off the bottom of the glass with his thumb, and when he raised his head to respond to Edward, there was no politeness in his tone, only a faint, business-like candor.

"You don't need to bother guessing the time."

"But I can tell you that The Five Great Families maintain an up-to-date file on every family worth collecting information on."

"This little bit of stuff on your Warren Family in Nevada counts as meager."

He pointed his empty hand casually at the file boxes, as if annotating a long-expired contract, "Let's settle it all today."

"These files in exchange for your intelligence—it's fair."

Edward was silent for a few seconds, then sat back on the sofa, resting his hands on his knees, leaning forward slightly, his tone returning to the steady and precise manner befitting the head of a century-old political dynasty.

"Since you have prepared such a grand gift for me, then in return..."

"The Deep State, the Longevity Faction, the Tech Faction, Grey Alien, Zeta Star, Moth Star, Solomon... all the information I currently possess, from now on, I will tell you everything without reservation."

And he truly did.

He recounted everything, from the moment Link witnessed Grey Alien being beaten and bagged by the Men in Black in the underground garage, to Diana Hopkins discovering that the one she was clinging to was actually the Longevity Faction that specialized in transplanting alien hearts, to Joshua striking a lightning bolt into the second underground level in front of him and telling him personally about the internal split between the Longevity Faction and the Tech Faction, and finally to the ruins of the Hoover Dam where officials from both the Longevity Faction and the Tech Faction appeared, accusing each other of being frogs in a well and lunatics destroying the foundation of the organization...

Rockefeller III and Samuel did not interrupt him from beginning to end; only Samuel let out a soft sigh when hearing that the Longevity Faction transplanted the hearts of Grey Alien as a means to extend their lifespan, but he did not say much else.

After he finished speaking, Samuel was still digesting some of the information, while Rockefeller III had already set his glass aside; the composure in those grey eyes had now transformed into a sharp glint, long used to calculating risks and gains.

"Damn it! We made a wrong move!"

"When we got that storage device, we should have cross-verified it first, instead of jumping to conclusions!"

"Now it seems that the mistake we made wasn't a lack of intelligence, but that our logical chain had an unconscious error anchor from the very beginning!"
