47: Chapter 47 Zhao Fan's Awakening
The night was deep, and the hour hand on the wall clock already pointed to eleven.
Qin Shiyu leaned back on the sofa; the several hours of high-intensity singing and dancing at the concert had drained much of her energy.
She raised her hand to lightly cover her pink lips and let out a shallow yawn, tiny tears welling up in the corners of her eyes, her brows filled with traces of fatigue.
Qin Yi saw her exhaustion and said to her, "Sister Shiyu, if you're tired, go and rest first. I've already had the servants prepare your room."
"Mm." Qin Shiyu nodded gently, her voice soft and sweet. "The concert today was too much of a hassle, and it drained my energy. I really can't hold on anymore. I'm going to take a shower first, and you should get some rest early too, Xiaoyi."
"Understood," Qin Yi replied gently.
Lin Wanqing, who was on the side, also stretched, a look of fatigue appearing on her small face. She leaned forward and took Qin Shiyu's hand. "Sister Shiyu, I'm tired too. Let's take a shower together; it's been a long time since we showered together!"
Qin Shiyu looked at the delicate and pretty Lin Wanqing before her, a gentle smile rippling in her eyes, and agreed without hesitation, "Sure, it'll be good for us sisters to keep each other company."
As she finished speaking, the two women held hands and walked intimately side by side toward the stairs to the second floor, their skirt hems lightly sweeping across the floor, leaving behind a series of faint footsteps.
Qin Yi sat alone on the living room sofa, watching the backs of the two women as they left. He tapped his fingertips on his knees, having nothing else to do for the moment.
Suddenly, he remembered Zhao Fan, who had been sent to the hospital after fainting. A trace of mockery flashed in his eyes as he thought, 'I haven't paid much attention to that guy today; I wonder how he is now.'
With a thought, Qin Yi opened the system panel in his mind. A pale blue light screen unfolded before his eyes, precisely locating Zhao Fan's position, and immediately activated the real-time surveillance feed.
In the frame was a stark white single hospital room. Zhao Fan was lying quietly on the hospital bed, wearing a loose blue-and-white striped hospital gown, looking stable and without any major issues.
But when he saw Zhao Fan's current appearance, even Qin Yi couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, his eyes filled with amusement.
Zhao Fan's appearance had completely changed. His originally neat short hair had grown into a head of smooth, long hair, cascading like a waterfall onto the white pillow.
His originally rugged, square, and somewhat masculine face had been completely reshaped. His brow ridges had become smooth, his eyebrows slender and long, his eyes round and lively, his nose bridge small and delicate, and his lips pink and full with soft, delicate lines. The prominent Adam's apple on his neck had vanished without a trace, his originally broad shoulders had become slender, his waist had tightened, and his once flat chest now swelled with full, rounded curves, stretching the loose hospital gown into a huge silhouette. From head to toe, he had completely transformed into a young woman with a delicate appearance and a gentle temperament.
With this appearance, let alone others, even if Zhao Fan's own parents were standing in front of him, they would absolutely not recognize that this was the former Zhao Fan.
Looking at Zhao Fan, who had turned into a beautiful young girl on the hospital bed, Qin Yi couldn't help but chuckle softly, "I didn't expect that after this gender swap, Zhao Fan would actually have such a good appearance. With this beauty and figure, if he walked on the street, who knows how many men he could infatuate."
Just as Qin Yi was joking, inside the system screen, Zhao Fan's eyelashes on the hospital bed suddenly trembled slightly, and then, his tightly closed eyes slowly opened.
He opened his eyes, his gaze blankly staring at the pure white ceiling. His brain was chaotic, his whole body sore and weak, still carrying the dizziness of having just woken up. It took a long while for him to regain some consciousness, and he whispered to himself, "I... where is this?"
He struggled to turn his neck to look around. Entering his sight were white walls, hanging IV bags, and medical supplies on the bedside table. A faint smell of disinfectant entered his nostrils, and the unfamiliar environment made his heart tighten. Looking again at the loose hospital gown on his body, he finally realized: he was in a hospital.
At this moment, fragmented memories flooded into Zhao Fan's mind: food delivery traffic, mission timeout failure, the system's gender swap punishment, and the brain fainting after extreme collapse. As all the scenes connected, he understood that he had been sent to the hospital after fainting.
Suddenly, he remembered the system's punishment: "Permanent gender swap."
Zhao Fan's whole body stiffened, and a sense of extreme panic swept over him again. He sat up abruptly, his movement too hasty, causing a wave of dizziness in his head, but he disregarded it entirely. With trembling hands, he reached toward his crotch!
Empty! There was nothing! Little Zhao Fan had completely and utterly disappeared!
Not reconciled, Zhao Fan continued to move his hands downward, but Little Zhao Fan was still nowhere to be found; instead, he felt a deep ravine.
"No... impossible!" Zhao Fan's pupils shrank, his face pale as paper, his whole body trembling uncontrollably. He still wouldn't give up and lowered his head, but his line of sight was blocked by the soft, protruding mounds on his chest, preventing him from seeing below at all.
This! Could this be! In his panic, he raised his trembling hands and grabbed at his chest. In an instant, a soft and elastic sensation clearly came from his palms—warm, full, and entirely characteristic of a woman's body!
"Ah!!!"
Zhao Fan's psychological defense collapsed again, and he began to scream, only his originally rough voice had turned into a high-pitched one.
He widened his eyes and discovered that even the voice he emitted was exactly like a woman's. He finally believed that he had really turned into a woman.
Thinking that he, a grown man, had turned into a woman, his tears fell like a broken dam. He covered his face, slumped on the hospital bed, and let out a heart-wrenching wail, his voice hoarse and desperate: "No!! I don't want to be a woman! Why! Why treat me like this! Damned heavens! What did I do wrong!"
His hysterical crying broke the silence of the hospital room, the sound clearly reaching outside. The nurse on duty in the hallway heard the crying and hurriedly pushed the door open to enter. Seeing Zhao Fan sitting on the bed, crying in a breakdown, she walked quickly to the bedside and comforted him softly:
"Miss, you've finally woken up. Don't be sad. The doctor has checked you; your body is fine. You only fainted because of excessive fear and mental breakdown. You'll be fine after resting well for a few days."
"Miss?"
These four words were like the last straw that broke the camel's back, causing Zhao Fan to completely break down.
He abruptly raised his tear-filled face, his eyes red, his expression ferocious and furious, and roared sternly at the nurse: "Miss? Which eye of yours saw that I am a miss! I am a man! A man!"
The nurse on duty was startled by his sudden roar and stood stunned for a few seconds. She looked in astonishment at the girl before her, whose face was tear-streaked and who was highly agitated.
The person in front of her clearly had long hair, a beautiful appearance, and a standard female figure, yet she kept saying "I" (using the masculine "Laozi") and insisted on being a man. The nurse just assumed she had just woken up and her mental state was unstable, so she still patiently said: "Miss, I know you are very uncomfortable now, and it is normal to have an emotional breakdown, but... you are a girl yourself, so you shouldn't let your imagination run wild."
"My imagination running wild?" Zhao Fan trembled with anger and shouted hysterically, "I said! I am a man! A righteous man! Not some woman!"
He was emotionally agitated, his face flushed red. Seeing the increasingly obvious strangeness and sympathy in the nurse's eyes, he felt filled with humiliation. He didn't want to stay here for even one more second; he couldn't bear others looking at him with such eyes.
Zhao Fan suddenly stood up, threw off the quilt, and didn't even have time to put on shoes. Barefoot, he stepped onto the cold floor, disregarded his body's soreness, and rushed out of the hospital room like a madman.
"Miss! Wait!" The nurse was shocked at the sight and hurriedly got up to chase after him, shouting urgently, "You just woke up, your body hasn't recovered yet. You must stay for observation for a period of time; you can't just leave like this! Come back quickly!"
But Zhao Fan was now entirely focused on escaping and completely ignored the shouts behind him. With rapid footsteps, he ran through the hospital corridor, sprinted out of the inpatient building, and soon disappeared without a trace.
The nurse was not as fast as him and was out of breath from the chase. In the end, she could only stop, looking at the empty hospital entrance with a face full of anxiety and helplessness, and could only turn back to the hospital room, intending to report the situation.
Meanwhile, Zhao Fan, who had fled the hospital in a panic, stepped barefoot on the cold night road. He looked down at his slender, fair hands, feeling his familiar yet strange body, and tears surged out again. He did not know where he should go from here.
The night was like ink, the evening breeze carried the fishy cold scent of the river, and the streetlights were dim like candles, barely illuminating the concrete road under his feet. Unknowingly, Zhao Fan had walked to a secluded path by the river.
By the river fence was a tattered straw mat on which lay The Beggar, looking slovenly. His clothes were full of holes, his greasy hair was tangled in a mess, his face was covered in dirt, and he had an unlit cigarette in his mouth, turning over to go to sleep.
The Beggar had just closed his eyes when he suddenly smelled a fragrance drifting to his nose with the evening breeze, forming a sharp contrast with the stench on his body.
He opened his eyes and looked in the direction of the fragrance, only to see a slender figure slowly walking past him.
Black long hair was messily draped over his shoulders, swaying gently with his steps. A small, delicately contoured face, yet his eyes were full of fatigue and confusion. His nose bridge was upright, his lips were pink and tender. The thin hospital gown was stretched out by his ample assets, his figure was slender and graceful, his waist was slender enough to be held in one hand, and walking barefoot on the ground added a sense of pitiful dishevelment.
The Beggar swallowed his saliva, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down, and an obscene light appeared in his eyes.
He squinted and looked around, finding that apart from himself and this girl, there was no one else in sight. A malicious thought immediately arose in his heart: Looking at this woman wearing a hospital gown, barefoot and looking lost, could she be a lunatic who escaped from some mental hospital? A mental patient, even if something happened, probably no one would care. Such a beautiful little beauty, it would be a waste not to take advantage.
He got up quietly and pulled out a wooden stick from somewhere, the top of which was still stained with mud and weeds.
The Beggar held the wooden stick, bent over, and followed Zhao Fan on tiptoe, his footsteps very light, fearing to disturb the "prey" before him.
At this moment, Zhao Fan was still immersed in his own consciousness, his fingertips unconsciously rubbing, feeling his completely strange female body, and he was completely unaware of everything around him.
He continued walking forward and found that there was a fence in front, so he stopped and looked blankly at the dark river. When The Beggar behind him saw him stop, he suddenly accelerated, raised the stick in his hand, and smashed it hard at the back of Zhao Fan's head!
"Bang!"
A dull impact sound rang out on the quiet path. Zhao Fan only felt a piercing pain from the back of his head. He didn't even have time to let out a cry of surprise before his eyes went black, his body lost all strength, and he fell straight to the ground.
The Beggar showed a smug and obscene smile on his face as he watched Zhao Fan collapse to the ground, motionless, and clicked his tongue, saying, "What a weak little beauty, so fragile. It seems my luck is good today."
He stepped forward, reached out to check Zhao Fan's breath, and confirmed that he had only fainted, so he carried him onto his shoulder. Zhao Fan's body was light, and The Beggar felt no effort at all carrying him.
Carrying Zhao Fan, The Beggar walked quickly to a dark bridge underpass not far away.
The bridge underpass was damp and narrow, the walls were covered with mold spots and stains, and a pile of old cardboard boxes and plastic bags was piled on the ground, emitting a pungent, putrid smell. There were also a few rats scurrying around, making it look exceptionally dirty and messy.
He put Zhao Fan on the tattered straw mat on the ground. Zhao Fan's body rolled a circle on the straw mat and still did not wake up, only his brows frowned slightly, and he let out a faint moan.
The Beggar couldn't wait to rub his hands together, his face full of lewd smiles. He first reached out to pull at the collar of Zhao Fan's hospital gown, tearing the buttons open one by one, revealing the fair and delicate skin inside. Then he reached out to grab the hem of the hospital gown and gave it a violent pull!
With a "rip" sound, the thin hospital gown was torn in two, and Zhao Fan's body was completely exposed to The Beggar's sight.
The moonlight shone through the cracks in the bridge underpass, casting a few faint rays of light that happened to illuminate Zhao Fan's charming figure. The Beggar's eyes went straight, his breathing became heavy, and he approached Zhao Fan step by step, muttering lewd words: "Such a wonderful body, lucky me..." (One million words omitted here)
Meanwhile, in the living room of the Qin Family Villa, Qin Yi was leaning on the sofa, the system screen in his mind frozen at the moment Zhao Fan was carried away by The Beggar.
Watching the scene of Zhao Fan being knocked unconscious by the stick of The Beggar and then carried away, he couldn't help but chuckle softly, "I didn't expect Zhao Fan to have such an 'adventure.' Being targeted by a beggar is truly rotten luck."
