655: Funny Lin Feng's Death
“Thump, thump, thump!”
“Is Young Master Lin Feng in?”
“What is it?” Lin Feng’s face showed a hint of impatience.
“Young Miss Dragon sent you a box, saying there’s a great Opportunity inside and that you must Cultivate diligently!”
“Slam!” The door was instantly flung open.
“What did Aunt Dragon give me? Hurry and bring it over!” Lin Feng’s eyes were wide, and he practically snatched the box from the servant’s hands.
His gaze was fixed on the object that carried this “great Opportunity.”
The box was not large, yet it felt as heavy as a thousand pounds, scalding his hands like a branding iron.
He ignored the others, urgently placing the box on the table, his fingers fumbling along the edge of the lid.
With a soft “click,” the lid slowly opened, and a strange shimmer of light instantly spilled out from the crack, making Lin Feng’s breathing suddenly quicken.
When the box was fully open, Lin Feng’s movements abruptly stopped, and the urgency on his face was instantly replaced by confusion.
Inside the box lay a strangely shaped fragment, neither metal nor jade, its surface shimmering with mottled light and intricate patterns that seemed to contain some profound and unfathomable Law, yet left one utterly bewildered.
“What exactly is this fragment?” Lin Feng murmured to himself, his voice full of bewilderment.
“Did my Aunt Dragon say what this is?” Lin Feng turned to look at the servant who had delivered the box.
The servant trembled, frightened by his gaze, and quickly shook his head, “Young Miss Dragon only said that you must Cultivate diligently, and did not mention what was inside this box.”
Lin Feng frowned, falling into deep thought.
Since his Aunt Dragon had so solemnly sent this box, even claiming it held a great Opportunity, these fragments must certainly possess extraordinary significance.
“Could this be a remnant of some lost Magic Treasure? Or perhaps a key to unlock a mysterious ruin?”
Lin Feng’s mind was filled with constant conjectures, but each idea lacked sufficient basis.
As he pondered, Lin Feng carefully extended his hand and picked up one of the fragments.
The fragment felt cool to the touch, yet its surface was exceptionally smooth, as if it could absorb the warmth from his palm.
It felt as if it could also drain all the warmth from his entire body.
He held the fragment up to his eyes, examining it closely, trying to decipher the intricate patterns, but no matter how he rotated it, he could not comprehend its mysteries.
Just as Lin Feng stared at the fragment in his hand, full of doubt and racking his brains, the surrounding space seemed to be violently stirred by an invisible large hand.
In an instant, the world spun, and Lin Feng felt the scenery before him suddenly change; in the blink of an eye, he found himself on an incomparably wide road.
He had never seen this road before; it had a strange beauty.
He widened his eyes, his face full of disbelief, and subconsciously looked around.
As far as his eyes could see, there was an endless, flat avenue, with wild grass growing on both sides, and not a single person in sight.
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!”
At this moment, a deafening roar approached from a distance, and Lin Feng followed the sound, only to see five massive trucks speeding towards him, their wheels kicking up clouds of dust, their Aura menacing.
“Is this Aunt Dragon’s trial for me?” Lin Feng murmured to himself, his voice almost inaudible amidst the howling wind.
He clutched the fragment tightly, his thoughts racing.
Since Aunt Dragon had mysteriously sent this box containing the so-called “great Opportunity,” and now inexplicably transported him to this strange place, there must be an intricate connection between these events.
Perhaps, the key to unlocking the secret of this mysterious fragment lay in how to deal with this seemingly simple “crisis” before him.
“If I’m not mistaken, this must be a trial world, and these strange things in front of me should be the first wave of trials! Watch me easily take them on!”
Lin Feng looked at the trucks in front of him with full confidence.
“Watch me flip you over!”
He stared intently at the rapidly approaching trucks, and suddenly, his heart began to pound violently, cold sweat continuously trickling down his forehead.
“Why do I feel this palpitation? No! This thing is definitely not simple!” Lin Feng thought for a moment and decided it was better to dodge.
When facing the unknown, one should ultimately not be too reckless.
However, just as he tried to move his legs, he found them rooted to the spot, unable to budge.
Lin Feng instantly froze.
Watching the five trucks drawing closer and closer, their headlights blinding him with their intense glare, the pungent exhaust fumes permeated the air.
His mind went blank, but soon, reason flooded back like a tide, and his gaze fell back on the fragment in his hand, a bold conjecture quietly forming in his mind.
“I understand! Could this be the Legacy of the Law of Power? Do I need to take it on directly?”
Thinking this, Lin Feng gritted his teeth, the unyielding spirit within him thoroughly ignited.
Despite his legs feeling weak and the palpitations growing stronger, he still stared intently at the five trucks charging towards him, clutching the mysterious fragment in his hand even tighter, as if it were his last reliance.
“Even if it’s a test of the Law of Power, I, Lin Feng, will never retreat!” He roared on the road, his voice trembling slightly, yet filled with determination.
When the first truck was just inches away from him, Lin Feng suddenly let out a loud shout, his immortal Qi surging wildly around him. He leaped high and swung a full-force punch at the truck’s front, attempting to overturn it with the power of this single blow.
The punch whistled, stirring up a wave of Qi, but reality struck his heart like a heavy hammer.
The seemingly ordinary truck, upon contact with Lin Feng’s fist, erupted with an unimaginable force.
Lin Feng felt as if his fist had struck a towering mountain; the Recoil Force (recoil force) instantly spread throughout his body, the bones in his arm emitted “crack, crack” sounds of shattering, and his entire body was sent flying backward like a kite with a broken string.
Before he could react, the subsequent trucks arrived one after another.
The massive wheels mercilessly ran over him, and in an instant, Lin Feng’s body became a bloody mess under this steel torrent, his life rapidly fading.
Before he died, he was still thinking that he had failed the test and would probably be teleported back.
But unfortunately, the confident him was thus cleanly and decisively run over by the trucks, ending his brief but fantastical resistance.
The last truck slowly came to a halt, and the stirred dust gradually settled.
A handsome truck driver stepped out of the truck, dressed in a sharp black leather jacket, his hair slightly messy but still stylish.
He strode over to Lin Feng’s bloody corpse, a constipated look on his face, muttering curses:
“What a brainless idiot! I thought you’d have some sense to dodge this deadly thing, but I never expected you’d actually dare to contend with a truck. Read too many novels, did you? Do you really think you’re an invincible, peerless Dragon King War God?”
