320: Jiang Yu, the duplicity

“Madam, you are simply too much!

“How can you act like a bandit just because you’re powerful? Don't you know how much pain you’ve caused me and my master by stealing Xian’er?

“Xian’er is still so young, so pitiful. How could you bear to do it?”

Gu Qing preemptively pointed at Jiang Yu, scolding her.

“...”

Jiang Yu's gentle smile froze on her face.

To be honest, she had thought of many scenarios.

She thought Gu Qing would reason with her, explaining how difficult things were for Zhi Meng, and how Zhi Meng felt angry and wronged.

She thought Gu Qing might try to appeal to her emotions, moving her with tales of woe, reasoning with her not to steal Xian’er again.

She thought Gu Qing might even shout “Mom” at her, and if she refused, he would cling to her leg.

For all these scenarios, she had prepared countermeasures; she would ruthlessly and coldly reject Gu Qing.

If Gu Qing persisted, she would throw him out of the cave.

Who told Gu Qing to be so shameless, speaking so much ill of her in front of Zhi Meng?

But she truly hadn't expected Gu Qing to curse her the moment he opened his mouth.

This was unexpected, yet also made sense.

After all, she had personally experienced how shrewd and cunning Gu Qing was.

“You little brat, you’ve grown bolder after a trip out, daring to curse even me now,” Jiang Yu's deep, peach blossom eyes were full of playfulness.

“Isn’t it because you’ve gone too far?” Gu Qing complained.

“Alright then, I won’t touch your daughter anymore.”

“No, no, no, Madam, I was wrong.”

For Xian’er to be loved by Jiang Yu, her life was practically a guaranteed win.

Gu Qing would be crazy to take Xian’er, who was living in Rome, back to a beggar’s den.

“At least you’re sensible,” Jiang Yu snorted, lowering her gaze to look at Xian’er with a gentle expression.

“Madam, here’s a small gift for you. See if it suits you.”

Gu Qing stroked Xian’er’s soft little head, then took out the Da Luo Ni Chang.

“For me?” Jiang Yu looked at the Da Luo Ni Chang, her expression surprised, her heart feeling sweet.

She didn't care about a mere Innate Spirit Treasure, but since it was given by Gu Qing, she would love it even if it were an ordinary item.

“Of course, Madam is unparalleled in beauty. Wearing the Da Luo Ni Chang will surely stun the Immortal Realm, blind the eyes of all beings, and make you the most beautiful and noble Goddess in the Eternal Universe.”

Jiang Yu had helped him so much and even given him two Chaotic Spiritual Treasures. If Gu Qing didn't give Jiang Yu something, he would be too embarrassed to ask her for help again.

“Smooth-talker,” Looking at Gu Qing's incomparably handsome face, speaking such serious words, Jiang Yu felt dizzy.

She felt that everything was worth it.

Jiang Yu took the Da Luo Ni Chang, her peach blossom eyes, full of tender affection, shimmered like water, and a faint blush appeared on her fair cheeks, incredibly alluring.

Gu Qing couldn't resist and lightly kissed her flawless cheek.

Jiang Yu’s eyelashes trembled, and she gently pushed him away, her heart in a flutter.

Although they chatted freely in the communication jade, being faced with the reality of it, she was incredibly flustered.

She waved her hand, “You should go, go be with your little vixen. I’ll return Xian’er to you in three days.”

She found Gu Qing annoying right now; Xian’er was much more lovable.

So cute and adorable, like a little milky-white dumpling.

“Heh heh!” Xian’er lifted her small head, her clear, innocent big eyes full of curiosity.

Her little neck turned, looking at Gu Qing, then at Jiang Yu.

“Be good, Xian’er.” How could Gu Qing leave? Knowing that Jiang Yu found it hard to accept for a moment, he didn't force it. Going with the flow was fine.

He squatted down and picked up the baby sitting on the ground.

He activated his Dao Pupil to scan Xian’er. Besides her own innate origin, Xian’er's body also contained a very profound Great Dao origin.

There was a layer of restriction sealing it; if not for his Dao Pupil, he wouldn't have been able to detect it.

No need to ask, he knew this was Jiang Yu’s doing.

“Heh heh,” Xian’er wasn't shy at all, bouncing in Gu Qing’s arms and laughing.

“Little Xian’er, call me Papa,” Gu Qing pinched her cheek. An alluring milky scent mixed with a unique floral fragrance wafted to his nose.

Gu Qing took a deep sniff, looking intoxicated.

Sucking on a baby indeed makes me happy.

Making the baby cry makes me even happier.

“Waaah!” Xian’er indeed cried, not at all resistant to teasing.

“Stop it!”

Jiang Yu was furious: “Get out!”

With a flick of her sleeve, a surge of power swept Gu Qing out. Jiang Yu picked up Xian’er, lowering her head to comfort her in a soft voice.

She couldn't understand why Gu Qing would make his daughter cry.

What kind of malicious mindset must he have?

After comforting Xian’er, Jiang Yu's mind suddenly replayed Gu Qing's intoxicated expression while sniffing the baby. Her heart stirred.

Jiang Yu also wanted to try.

But then she shook her head.

If she really did that, what would be the difference between her and that awful Gu Qing?

But… Jiang Yu’s expression showed clear struggle.

She was incredibly curious about how it felt to sniff a baby.

Maybe just a little sniff?

Anyway, no one would know.

And there was only one chance. Once Xian’er grew up, she would never have the opportunity to try.

Jiang Yu convinced herself, then glanced outside the door like a guilty thief. Only then did she pick up Xian’er and take a gentle sniff.

“Sniff…”

Jiang Yu looked intoxicated, her heart excited, with an urge to sniff the baby dry.

“Damn Gu Qing, why didn’t he tell me sooner that sniffing a baby was so much fun?”

“Waaah…”

…Gu Qing was swept out the door, truly not expecting that the reason for his falling out of favor was his daughter.

“How was it? What did Master say?”

Chu Yao’s anxious voice echoed from behind him, bringing Gu Qing back to his senses.

He smiled indifferently, “It’s fine, Sister Yu has her own judgment, and it’s a good thing for Xian’er to be with her.”

Chu Yao deeply agreed, but still couldn't help worrying: “Master’s methods are heaven-defying, and her teaching methods are unparalleled. I just fear your Master won’t see it that way.”

“Don’t worry, Master isn’t an unreasonable person. She’s probably just finding it hard to swallow right now. She’ll get used to it over time.”

Zhi Meng was so intelligent and adaptable; given time, she would soothe herself.

As they spoke, the two arrived at Su Qingyue’s secluded cave.

“You go in. I won’t disturb your long-awaited reunion.”

Chu Yao said with a hint of sourness, then turned to leave.

However, Gu Qing held her hand, pulling her in with him.

“Let’s go in together. We’ll have to be honest with each other sooner or later anyway.”

For some reason, seeing Gu Qing’s smiling face, an ominous premonition rose in Chu Yao’s heart.

Within the mountain peak, a majestic divine mountain with towering ancient trees greeted their eyes.

Dense immortal energy swirled and steamed, with rays of light, and immortal palaces floated in the air, like a celestial realm.

The two walked through the air and entered the immortal palace.

Su Qingyue had received news of Gu Qing’s return and had carefully dressed up, wearing a moon-white immortal gown.

Her cold, exquisitely beautiful face, coupled with her ethereal and refined temperament, made her seem like a fairy from the Guanghan Palace.

“Senior Brother!”

Su Qingyue, like a Flying Celestial Goddess, her immortal gown fluttering, threw herself into Gu Qing’s arms.

Her delicate body trembled slightly with excitement.

This was wonderful. After several centuries, she finally saw Gu Qing again.

From now on, they would never be separated, living together forever and sharing eternal life.
