113: Chapter 113 Punishment

...

After Damao finished speaking, he pressed the timer and started playing music.

As the music started, Peach and Yuyuan, who had been facing off just a moment ago, immediately began to dance along.

Behind them, the other girls also joined in, jumping and cheering them on.

Even though it was the same type of two-person PK, the Energetic Girls made it feel different by adding some showmanship.

As a result, the audience in the Livestream Room didn't decrease; instead, it kept growing, quickly breaking past 20,000+ viewers.

While most of these were Zhang Shan's fans, there were also many new viewers drawn in by the spectacle.

Manager Li, the operations manager backstage, couldn't help but marvel as she watched the livestream data.

Having Emperor Shan's attention really made a difference. Since he arrived, not only had their performance metrics improved, but he had even made the entire Livestream Room go viral.

Manager Li looked at the girls on stage; she didn't say it aloud, but she was incredibly anxious.

These girls were just too hopeless. Peach had already set such a good example for them, yet after so many days, they still didn't know how to take the initiative.

Watching others rake in tens of millions of votes, don't you guys want some too?

This won't do. After the stream ends today, I must hold a meeting with them.

Zhang Shan naturally had no idea what Manager Li was thinking; he was currently debating which of the two he should give his votes to first.

After agonizing over it, Zhang Shan slapped his forehead. Why overthink it? Why not just give to both at the same time?

Once on the left, once on the right.

Twice on the left, twice on the right.

Or once on the top, once on the bottom.

Twice on the top, twice on the bottom.

[lv75 Qingshan gifted Peach nebula duke ×1] (30,000 diamonds)

[lv75 Qingshan gifted Yuyuan nebula duke ×1] (30,000 diamonds)

Host Damao: "Thank you, My Emperor, for the Love Rose. Thank you, My Emperor..."

My god, thank you My Emperor for another Love Rose! Thank you for your support of Peach and Yuyuan..."

Zhang Shan had already made up his mind; he was going to grasp both sides, and he was going to be firm with both.

[Oh ho, My Emperor's way of balance is back.]

[When Emperor Shan acts, the main theme is fairness, fairness, and more fairness.]

[One for each, pampering both.]

[lv75 Qingshan: Today I'm just setting the floor. You guys decide the winner!] (Floating Screen)

Zhang Shan knew that once he acted, others would likely hold back.

So he sent a floating screen message to tell everyone else in the Livestream Room.

He was only providing a base level of support; he didn't care who won or lost.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be much fun for the thousands of people in the room to just watch him play by himself.

[Whoa, is Emperor Shan inviting us to play along?]

[Oh ho, then I won't be polite!]

[Emperor Shan is so generous.]

[Hey, wait, what are you guys thinking... wait for me!]

[Charge, brothers! If we're late, we'll miss out on the action!]

[Holy crap, brother, what are you trying to do?]

The viewers in the Livestream Room immediately got excited when they saw Zhang Shan's invitation.

Especially Emperor Shan's fans; sometimes they would follow his lead even if he didn't say anything.

Now that Emperor Shan had spoken up, they had to have some fun.

Some were still typing comments, while others couldn't wait to start gifting.

Thank you, big brothers, for your support of Peach..."

With the support of these big spenders, Peach quickly secured victory in the first round of the challenge.

Host Damao: "Alright, Peach wins! Now Yuyuan has to accept a punishment. You guys pick one..."

What? Okay, Peach says she'll leave the choice to the big brothers."

As soon as Damao finished speaking, the comments began to scroll rapidly.

[Jump rope]

[Squats]

[Jump rope ×666]

Host Damao: "OK, the big brothers have unanimously decided. Yuyuan's punishment is jumping rope. Come on, Yuyuan, are you ready?"

Hearing that the punishment was jumping rope, Yuyuan shook her fists at the camera to express her "dissatisfaction."

She then picked up a jump rope from the side and started jumping.

However, she tripped after only two jumps. Damao played a funny sound effect in perfect synchronization.

The others standing around watching also burst into laughter.

Peach laughed loudly and said, "Do you even know how to jump rope? If you trip, you have to start over!"

Yuyuan laughed along; she really hadn't expected to only manage two jumps.

After taking a moment to compose herself, Yuyuan started to get serious.

This time she did well, jumping up and down quite cheerfully.

In particular, the 'duang duang duang' effect that Zhang Shan liked was especially obvious.

In fact, as long as one had the real deal, jumping rope would always produce such an effect.

Unless they were 'A-cup' types whose front and back were equally smooth, you definitely wouldn't see any effect.

But this time, Yuyuan tripped again on her ninth jump.

Peach: "Geez, can you do it or not? It's just 10 jumps..."

Host Damao: "Hey, Senior Yuyuan usually likes to stay in the classroom and study. It's understandable if her athletic ability is a bit lacking..."

Seeing Yuyuan trip again, the comments also started heckling.

[Senior just loves studying too much, but I love watching her jump rope.]

[I'm actually not great at jumping rope either. If Senior came to teach me, I'd probably be even worse at it.]

[Looks good, love watching it, jump more.]

They say men understand men best.

Zhang Shan suddenly felt like he was losing out a bit.

Such a great show was being watched by everyone else too.

But on second thought, those guys could only watch and fantasize.

Unlike him; not only could he see things they couldn't, but more importantly, he could actually taste the 'flavor' of the dish.
