146: The Sands of Time! The Stars in Chaos!

Rather than an illusion, it was more like a warning!

A warning from the Heavenly Dao to them.

Or perhaps a show of force?

At least, that was how it appeared to Lu Chen.

But the more it was like this, the more a confident smile spread across the corners of Lu Chen's mouth.

It's afraid!

The Heavenly Dao is afraid!

Is it putting on an act?

How truly laughable!

The personnel from the Engineering Department immediately sprang into action.

The gravitational turbulence had caused some damage to the outer hull.

Cultivation runes and nanobots worked in tandem to repair the cracks.

A series of warning sounds echoed through the ship:

"All personnel enter..."

"The starship is about to close."

"Hatch closing..."

The warnings grew clearer amidst the space-time turbulence.

As the bridge lights flickered, everyone saw the powerhouses of a hundred thousand years ago fighting a bloody battle within the Bronze City.

Yet in the future, Lu Chen had actually died, his Dao dissipated.

Only a single crystallized skeleton remained, sending a warning video to Earth... undoubtedly, this was also a warning!

A tone of pure intimidation.

This caused Lu Chen to look upon the current Heavenly Dao with even more contempt.

How can the Heavens know of future events?

Does it think it can scare us like this?

Lu Chen sneered coldly.

He said loudly, "Tell everyone to wear the Mind-Stabilizing Talismans given by Miss Sun. This thing wants to disturb our minds and wills; just treat it like a load of hot air."

After the starship broke free from the turbulence,

It continued its voyage.

The vast infinity of the Universe sparked a sudden realization in Lu Chen's heart.

This gave him a clearer understanding of his Cultivation.

The people on the starship went to the medical pods one after another to rest and recover.

Ignis used her Balrog power to toast her frozen toes.

She hadn't expected it to be so cold the moment they returned from Mars.

It was as if the sudden temperature difference had caused the very heat within her body to change.

"Is that guy named Xu dead yet?" Ignis asked curiously.

"According to entropy measurements, we might have fallen into..." Shelley was using ice crystal magic to reshape the cooling System damaged by the space-time turbulence, helping the maintenance crew restore cooling to the medical bay.

"—The Nine-Fold Cycle," Lu Chen said.

Lu Chen wiped the bronze rust from the tianwen sword. "Every cycle damages our ship a bit more, but if it's just this, we'll break free in a moment. The Formation Systems on the ship's exterior will be operational shortly."

Lu Chen pulled open his collar and glanced at the crystallized crack over his heart, where half a Jade Cong was embedded.

That was something he had received from the Old Dean before coming here.

It was said that a top leader had insisted it be delivered into his hands.

This was an object left behind from a hundred thousand years ago.

An item belonging to the First Emperor of the Great Qin Immortal Dynasty.

Morning Dew swept over the medical pods with Holy Light, checking the integrity of the treatment equipment.

As well as its safety.

This was everyone's medical guarantee.

This was a very long journey.

Nothing on the ship could be allowed to fail.

Outside the viewport, they jumped out of Mars' gravitational pull and escaped the range of the Nine-Fold Cycle.

The jump wormhole they had used to arrive opened its giant maw once more.

Lu Chen returned to the main control console on the bridge. The operator piloting the ship stood up and reported to Lu Chen:

"Chief, we have reached the Galactic Region!"

"Good. Continue forward. Remember to leave coordinates; leave coordinates at every bronze giant gate we jump through. These are all treasures that will greatly shorten the time spent on interstellar travel."

"Understood, Chief Lu!"

Standing on the bridge, Lu Chen looked at this product—a Fusion of Cultivation, magic, and modern technology interwoven with quantum code.

Then he looked at the massive bronze giant gate outside the high-strength windshield directly ahead.

For a moment, he felt as if he were in a dream.

At the same time, a great sense of heroism welled up within him.

To wage war against the Heavens—how domineering!

Yet it was also a choice born of necessity.

All living beings refuse to submit!

We must resist.

Treading through time to seek the true meaning,

The galaxy is the scroll where legends are written.

Do not say Reincarnation has no solution,

Just watch as the mortal world refuses to yield!

The moment the starship plunged into the wormhole,

The bridge lights dimmed slightly.

Suddenly, Ignis gently kissed Lu Chen's cheek. The Balrog power emanating from the young girl caused sparks of fire to linger between the two of them.

"Little Skeleton, I'm with you!"

Lu Chen's crystallized heart gained another spark of resistance.

Just then, the bridge hatch suddenly opened.

Someone had arrived.

As soon as Shelley entered, she saw this intimate scene!

She pursed her lips with a hint of jealousy!

She couldn't be as bold and direct as Ignis.

She was a little angry.

But it wasn't entirely because of jealousy.

Rather, she was frustrated by her own shyness.

A day later.

The starship was sailing normally.

Lu Chen checked the ship and found no major issues.

The Civilization Spark.

It was a starship-class vessel.

Magic runes flowed across the nano-alloy surface, and the blue-gold ancient Eastern immortal arts appeared like light patterns breathing like living things.

Even inside the zero-gravity chambers, ice crystal star charts and Holy Light particles floated about.

The floor of the antimatter engine room was carved with the Innate Eight Trigrams, with Spirit Stones of different attributes embedded in each trigram position.

This wasn't just a technological starship.

It combined the powers of Cultivation and magic.

Along the way, Lu Chen also ordered people to collect information from every location.

Whether it was images or physical matter.

The previous Martian landscape,

Had been a real eye-opener for Lu Chen.

Bronze-colored dust storms piled up in the shadows of Olympus Mons.

Even stranger were the remnants left over from a hundred thousand years ago... giant remains floated in lava channels, and the lingering thoughts of the powerful flickered eerily in the vacuum.

The eyes of the Kui Ox totem on the altar's surface were two highly refined Spirit Stones.

Mars was one thing, but the wormhole spectacles they passed through,

Also left a deep impression on Lu Chen.

Bronze chains floated in the rainbow-colored vortex, their links carved with scripts from different eras.

The jump transmissions of the bronze giant gate utilized such wormhole connections.

The space-time turbulence appeared much like a visual mosaic, where each block of color seemed to be a fragment of a parallel world.

Time within it was twisted and torn apart.

It was both an illusion and reality.

Every time the starship underwent a jump transmission and entered a wormhole, the ship's shields would always collide violently with the turbulence.

The sparks splashing outside the Formation barrier looked like the phantom shadows of exotic beasts.

It was awe-inspiring, making one revere the terrifying nature of the Universe.

After seven days of flight,

And two bronze giant gate jump transmissions,

Lu Chen and the others arrived at a new region.

Mercury's terminator line cut a boundary of light and dark outside the viewport; the rocks on the sun-facing side glowed with a brilliant white light, while the dark side was an eternal ink-blue.

Lu Chen adjusted the starship's psionic shield. The Cultivation runes condensed on the nano-alloy outer armor lit up one by one, isolating the four-thousand-degree temperature difference a hundred meters away.

Ignis pressed her cheek against the viewing window, her innate Balrog tattoos glowing with a molten gold luster under the high-temperature radiation.

"Wow, wow, wow! Little Skeleton! This place is even more exciting than the lava pool in my hometown's Flame Tower!"
