154: Holy light shines in all directions, and dust settles on the battlefield!

“So that’s how it’s been since then...” Morning Dew swept the Holy Light across these walls.

Her eyes were thoughtful.

As the Holy Light brushed over these walls, it invisibly triggered the judgment array hidden within.

Twelve gargoyles awakened abruptly, their eye sockets flickering with flames that blended Holy Light and black fire.

Lu Chen’s golden compass flew out of his hand, bursting into a formation of copper coins.

It flew straight toward these things.

However, upon touching the statues, it was repelled by the holy scripture text on their bodies.

“Heretic—!!!” The gargoyles roared with sky-shaking force instantly!

The roar shook plaster debris from the murals, and Morning Dew stood directly in front of Lu Chen.

She unfolded her magic book, summoned the holy codex, and channeled it to the page of the “Book of Revelation.”

In an instant, the light bursting from her body resonated with the judgment array!

At this moment, Morning Dew displayed a firmness completely unlike her usual self; this girl, who was usually soft and weak, looked calm and solemn, wielding her powerful Holy Light magic as she shouted:

“—In the name of the Holy Mother, none shall pass!”

The gargoyles’ offensive came to a sudden halt!

A tar-like substance seeped from the cracks in their armor.

Taking advantage of the moment, Lu Chen swung his sword, piercing the throat of the lead gargoyle; as bronze and marble debris scattered, he caught a glimpse of a strange, chip-like magic core embedded in its chest cavity.

Meanwhile.

At the Kunlun Academy archaeological site, Ignis kicked open the deformed door to the secret chamber.

Heatwaves mixed with sand and dust surged out, revealing the full mural: the six-winged angel’s face was nine parts similar to Morning Dew’s, and the holy codex in its hand was carved with Heavenly Dao incantations.

Shelley chased after her, and upon seeing the situation here, she was also slightly shocked; she reached out to brush away the accumulated dust in the corner, revealing annotations where Hebrew and oracle bone script coexisted:

—【The Origin of Holy Light is the tears of the Heavenly Dao.】

“What the Hell is this?” Ignis’s flame demon tattoo erupted with fiery light. “Does this mean the little nun is the daughter of the Heavenly Dao?”

Her greatsword slashed toward the mural, but it was entangled by bone chains that suddenly lunged out from behind her!

Ning Xiwei’s voice came through:

“Calm down, there are traces of Sword Qi on this that are the same as Lu Chen’s tianwen sword... Perhaps it’s not that simple.”

...

One week later.

The Arctic.

The aurora of the Arctic hung over the ice sheet like emerald satin. Shelley’s ice crystal detector array swept across the permafrost, and on the surface of the ice, appeared “Luo Shu” array patterns engraved by who knows whom... emitting powerful energy.

This energy showed signs of wanting to thaw the permafrost.

Over the past few days, heavenly dao contamination had been discovered in several major regions across Earth.

Even with abundant Spiritual Qi, the situation caused Earth’s magic to fluctuate everywhere.

This was a huge challenge for all parties.

Because of the unknown, there was fear.

Just then, suddenly!

All the detectors controlled by Shelley hovered simultaneously, and the six-sided ice crystals reflected a giant bronze eye slowly opening deep within the ice layer.

“Xiwei!!! It’s—here!”

Shelley shouted in alarm.

Cold sweat had already broken out on her forehead.

It wasn’t just heavenly dao contamination.

It was an Incarnation of the Heavenly Dao.

Just as Shelley and the others were acting in the polar region.

Morning Dew, who had been invited to the Holy Light Council.

Was now encountering danger.

Inside the dome hall of the Holy Light Council, the silhouettes of twelve Cardinals were projected onto the colorful stained glass windows.

Morning Dew knelt before the judgment platform carved with the “Ten Commandments,” and bronze veins writhed eerily on her six wings.

Just as Morning Dew was about to fall into danger!

With a loud bang.

Ignis kicked open the gilded doors of the council!

Seeing her body transformed into a Flame Demon Girl, a weird and beautiful hot woman, dragging her flame demon greatsword, leaving scorched fire marks on the white jade floor tiles, stepping forward as if emerging from Hell, she glared at those Cardinals and said sharply:

“Who dares to touch my person!”

“Heretic!!!” A Cardinal gave an unhappy sound, striking his scepter heavily against the ground.

The twelve angel statues guarding the four sides each erupted with powerful Holy Light shackles from their eyes.

“Just some clay sculptures! Hmph!” Ignis snorted coldly, spinning around to slash through the three light chains attacking her.

Intense lava sparks splashed onto Morning Dew’s cheek!

Ignis looked at this group of high-level officials from the Holy Light Council—who could be considered a faction, the leaders and dignitaries of a country—and her eyes were filled with disdain. “What are you putting on an act for? You still have plenty of fragments or cores of heavenly dao contamination hidden in your cellar, don’t you? Do you really think no one knows? ‘If you don’t want people to know, don’t do it’—I’ll gift you this old Chinese saying, so you understand. Are your brains all muddled, or were they caught in a door? Absolutely ridiculous!”

Clatter~!

The sound of shattering glass rang out from the dome.

A figure covered in undead energy leaped inside.

Descending from the sky.

The twelve Cardinals looked at this scene in shock.

Who is it?

Could that figure be?

—Masaka!!!

—Lu Chen!

Yes. It was exactly Lu Chen!

Lu Chen leaped down, unfolding his undead Domain.

Directly slowing down everyone’s movements.

Even the flow speed of magic.

In just an instant, he was about to land on the ground.

But Lu Chen turned his body in mid-air, stepping directly onto a Cardinal’s face with one foot, using it as leverage to land steadily on the ground.

“Gentlemen, Commander of the Huaxia Expeditionary starship, Admiral Lu Chen! I pay my respects with the body of the undead.”

Lu Chen’s light, indifferent words were even more of a slap in the face to these Holy Light Council guys than stepping on a face.

What kind of concept was this?

This was the Holy Light Council’s territory.

And the place where the big shots held meetings.

You, an undead, just came down so nakedly?

And slapped people in the face like this?

Even stepped on someone’s face with your foot.

Is this slapping a face?

This is hitting them with your butt!

It’s equivalent to the Monkey King not only not being suppressed by the Five Finger Mountain, but after taking a leak, he went to Spirit Mountain and took a dump of monkey shit!

But Lu Chen’s status now was just that unusual.

He wasn’t just a simple ordinary person anymore.

Nor was he just a simple King-level undead monarch.

But an Admiral of Huaxia.

And even a starship commander appointed by the five strong leaders of Huaxia.

Even those five had to show reverence to Lu Chen.

Because Lu Chen’s identity was extremely special.

This had everything to do with what happened one hundred thousand years ago.

Who in the world didn’t know now that Huaxia had an extra powerhouse at the Old Ancestor level.

Naturally, let alone the five top leaders of Huaxia.

Even other countries were both afraid and respectful of Lu Chen.

They were naturally afraid of Huaxia.

And they feared Lu Chen.

Every country had a few King-level experts.

But there were few like Lu Chen.

And anyone could see that this was not even Lu Chen’s Peak.

At the very least, he would start at the Emperor-level in the future.

Thinking of this, let alone Lu Chen slapping faces here, even if he did something else, they could only shut up.
