305: Chapter 305 First Batch of Mechs Delivered

The midday sun cut diagonally through the glass dome, falling onto the workshop floor like patches of gold leaf.

Fine dust from metal grinding still drifted in the air, floating slowly within the beams of light.

Chen Wuwang stood at the end of the assembly line, hands tucked into the pockets of his black martial attire, his silver hair ruffled slightly by the overhead vent.

He didn't move or speak, simply staring at the metal door—the place where Aelia had walked out yesterday.

The door opened.

Six technicians pushed in three Heavy Spirit Stone Transport Vehicles, the wheels making a dull clicking sound as they rolled over the rail joints. Each vehicle was welded with a Seal Array, the containers glowing with a faint blue runic light, clearly reinforced multiple times.

Aelia walked in last.

Today, she had changed into a form-fitting silver-gray combat suit, her wings folded behind her back, her pace much lighter than yesterday. Her gaze swept across the room and landed on the sixteen stationary mechas.

"Is everyone here?" Chen Wuwang spoke, his voice not loud but highly penetrating.

"Every single one," Aelia signaled with her hand. "Six recorders, two security guards, and four porters. Everything is according to your rules—no encryptors brought, and the footage is being uploaded to your terminal in real-time."

Chen Wuwang nodded and pointed toward the console. "Begin."

As he spoke, he stepped forward and pressed his palm onto the identification area. The System hummed, and the console lit up with a green light.

"Unlock sequence initiated," a synthesized mechanical voice announced.

Aelia was in no hurry to approach the mechas; instead, she walked to the first transport vehicle and personally opened the first sealed crate. The Spirit Stones were stacked neatly, each marked with the wax Seal of the Angel Race merchant fleet.

"Thirty-four million five hundred thousand," she reported the count. "Not a single one missing."

Chen Wuwang didn't count them, simply saying indifferently, "I trust you."

Aelia glanced at him, her lips curling slightly. "If other merchants heard that, they'd suspect your brain had fried."

"I am not a merchant." He turned toward Mecha No. 001. "I am a creator. The goods are there, the Spirit Stones are here; the deal is done."

After speaking, he gave a wave of his hand.

"Power on."

In an instant, the deep blue glow in the eyes of the ten mechas lit up simultaneously. Spiritual Inscriptions at the joints flowed like living water, and the armor plates vibrated slightly, emitting a low-frequency resonance. Then, they stepped forward half a meter in unison, their metal feet hitting the floor with a synchronized thud.

Aelia's breath hitched.

She stepped forward slowly and placed her hand on the shoulder armor of Mecha No. 001. Her fingertips slid along the engraved serial number, feeling the subtle pulse of energy beneath.

"More perfect than I imagined," she whispered, as if to herself.

"It's not just the appearance." Chen Wuwang stood beside her. "It can operate continuously for seventy-two hours in environments ranging from negative three hundred to eight hundred degrees Celsius. The built-in AI can autonomously avoid over ninety percent of combat errors, and its energy conversion efficiency is 4.6 times that of a traditional Magical Artifact."

Aelia withdrew her hand and turned to look at him. "Aren't you afraid I'll take these back, dismantle them, and study them?"

"I am," he smiled. "But I'm more afraid that no one will dare to buy them."

The two shared a look for a second and then laughed simultaneously.

"Load them up," Aelia turned and ordered.

The technicians moved immediately, using magnetic lifting arms to secure the ten mechas onto the transport platforms one by one. The entire process was quiet and efficient; no one asked a single question.

Not until the last mecha was lifted did Aelia stop, turning back to look at Chen Wuwang.

"Head of the Chen Family." She partially spread her wings, the sunlight passing through the thin membranes to cast mottled shadows on the ground. "It’s been a pleasure collaborating. I hope there will be more opportunities in the future."

Chen Wuwang’s hands remained in his pockets, the three claw scars on his right cheek clearly visible in the light. He smiled, his tone relaxed. "Of course. As long as you have a need, we can collaborate again at any time."

"Just like that?" She raised an eyebrow. "No extra conditions? Like purchase limits, regional dealerships, or technology blocks?"

"What you're buying now are finished products," he shrugged. "Not the production line. How you use them is your business. I only care if you can bring this many Spirit Stones the next time we meet."

Aelia narrowed her eyes and suddenly chuckled. "You know? At first, I really thought you would back out."

"Why?"

"Because you're too calm." She took two steps closer. "Others talk about money, profit, and risk, but you've been waiting for data. A Family head in the Cultivation World who lives like an... algorithm."

Chen Wuwang didn't deny it.

He raised his right hand and lightly tapped the edge of the console three times—once, twice, a pause, then once more.

A familiar rhythm.

"If the data isn't accurate, lives hang in the balance," he said calmly. "I don't gamble."

Aelia looked at him, her expression shifting before she finally nodded. "Fine. Then I'll wait for the next 'data confirmation'."

With that, she turned and walked toward the exit.

The transport team followed closely behind, their heavy footsteps gradually fading away.

The moment the metal door closed, the workshop fell into sudden silence.

Only the low-frequency hum of the rails remained, like the wheezing of an old stove before boiling water.

Chen Wuwang didn't move.

He stood where he was, his gaze falling on the now-empty delivery area. Where the ten mechas had stood just moments ago, only the residual heat from the cooling tanks remained.

He tapped his fingers three more times.

Once, twice, a pause, then once more.

He was calculating.

Thirty-four million five hundred thousand Spirit Stones. After deducting Materials, energy consumption, and labor, the net profit was twelve million. This amount was enough to upgrade three new production lines or build a small Starport Transit Station.

But he was in no rush to decide.

Another ledger was turning in his mind: of the seventeen families in the Eastern Wasteland Alliance, which one would be the first to come knocking for a purchase? Which would lead a boycott? Had Mo Yuan set its sights on this shipment? After Aelia returned, would she secretly modify the blueprints to create imitations?

He didn't know.

And he wasn't in a hurry.

What he did know was that from today on, no one would be able to treat the Chen Family as a minor clan tucked away in a corner.

They had war machines capable of mass production.

They had the strength to make the Angel Race merchant fleet bow their heads and pay.

They had true confidence.

His fingertips continued to tap the console, the rhythm unchanged.

In the distance, the remaining six undelivered mechas stood silently, their armor gleaming coldly and the Spiritual Inscriptions on their joints flickering slightly, like a group of warriors waiting to set out for battle.

His gaze slowly moved toward the deepest part of the workshop.

There was an area not yet in use; the floor had already been poured, and scaffolding surrounded it. A temporary sign hung on the wall: "Mecha Exhibition in Preparation."

The wind blew through the scaffolding, the iron pipes swaying slightly and letting out a clinking sound.

Chen Wuwang looked up at the sign.

He said in a low voice, "It's time."

Let everyone see what we can do.
