32: I want to be a mine owner! The Black Fiend Sect's nightmare!

Inside the mine tunnel, the atmosphere solidified.

The Foreman was so stiff with fear from Gu Yang's "kindly" smile, but his survival instinct still forced a reaction.

“Swoosh—!”

A Signal Arrow shot into the sky, exploding into a blood-colored firework at the top of the tunnel.

That was the Black Fiend Sect's enemy attack alarm!

“Bold Mine Slave! How dare you rebel!”

“Kill him!”

In just three breaths, three streaks of light galloped over from the mine entrance.

They were three patrolling Black Fiend Sect Outer Sect Disciples, all at the Qi Refinement Stage Perfection. They stood atop Flying Swords, hands forming hand seals, looking aggressive.

“Fireball Spell!”

“Golden Blade Spell!”

Several washbasin-sized fireballs and several golden wind blades whistled through the air, smashing toward Gu Yang's face.

Gu Yang stood in place, not even bothering to dodge.

He simply waved his hand dismissively, as if shooing away flies.

“So noisy.”

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The fireballs and golden blades, powerful enough to shatter rock, struck Gu Yang's body without even breaking the faint golden light shield, directly dissipating into specks of spiritual light.

“This... how is this possible?!”

The three Cultivators in the sky were dumbfounded.

Spells from the Qi Refinement Stage couldn't even break this Mine Slave's defense?

What kind of Physical Body was this?

Gu Yang didn't give them time for surprise.

He reached back and pulled out the massive, still-dripping golden scythe from behind him—the forelimb of the Gold-Eating Insect King!

Gu Yang twisted his waist, his arm muscles instantly exploding with power as he hurled the two-meter-long giant scythe like a boomerang!

“Get... DOWN HERE!!!”

Buzz—

The air was torn apart, emitting a high-pitched shriek like the wailing of ghosts and howling of wolves.

The golden scythe traced a perfect arc of death in the air, moving so fast it was difficult for Divine Sense to track.

“Not good! Dodge, quickly!”

One Cultivator screamed in terror, but it was already too late.

Swish!

A golden light flashed past.

It was like a hot knife through butter.

The three Cultivators, along with the Flying Swords beneath them, were sliced clean in half by the terrifying scythe before they could even activate their protective spiritual shields!

Blood sprayed as the corpses fell from the sky like dumplings into a pot.

“Clang!”

The scythe circled back and landed steadily in Gu Yang's hand.

Gu Yang blew the blood off it and looked at the Foreman, who had already pissed his pants in fear.

“Now, can we speak properly?”

“Yes! Yes! Mercy, Great One! Mercy!”

The Foreman kowtowed frantically, even breaking the skin on his forehead. “I’ll go call the Sect Master right now! No, I’ll go call everyone!”

“That’s more like it.”

Gu Yang nodded in satisfaction.

He turned to look at the thousands of Mine Slaves behind him, who were still numbly and mechanically swinging their pickaxes.

Gu Yang took a deep breath, sank his Qi into his Dantian, and operated his Wind and Thunder Lungs to their full capacity.

“EVERYBODY STOP!!!”

Roar————

This roar, carrying the terrifying blood vitality of a Foundation Establishment Body Cultivator, exploded like a thunderclap within the narrow mine tunnel.

It was deafening, with echoes ringing out.

The ears of all the Mine Slaves buzzed from the vibration. They subconsciously stopped their work and looked in terror at the figure that resembled a demon god.

Gu Yang jumped onto a boulder, shouldered his scythe, and announced loudly:

“From today on, this mining area's surname is Gu!”

“No more handing over any bullshit quotas! Take all the Spirit Stones you dig up and pile them all here in this square!”

“Whoever digs the most will be rewarded! There will be meat to eat!”

The Mine Slaves looked at each other in disbelief.

No need to hand them over? And meat to eat?

Though they didn't know who this fierce man was, looking at the three Cultivator corpses on the ground, everyone realized—the heavens had changed... Half a day later.

Black Fiend Sect base, Discussion Hall.

“What did you say?!”

An old man in black robes with a sinister face slapped the table and stood up, shattering the desk in front of him.

He was the Black Fiend Sect's Grand Elder specifically in charge of the mineral veins, a Foundation Establishment Middle Stage Cultivator who held a Medium Grade Magical Artifact, the 'Ten Thousand Soul Banner', and was infamously cruel.

“A Mine Slave rebelled? Killed the patrol? And occupied my mine?”

“He’s simply seeking death! What kind of madman dares to pluck hair from the tiger's head!”

The Grand Elder was furious. He immediately gathered dozens of elite Disciples from the Sect and headed straight for the mineral vein with thick Killing Intent.

“I will extract that madman's soul and refine his spirit, so he may never be reincarnated!”

On the mineral vein square.

Gu Yang was sitting on a mountain-like pile of Spirit Stones, munching on them like candy, making "crunch, crunch" sounds.

Thousands of Mine Slaves stood trembling around him, watching this monster who ate Spirit Stones like food.

Just then, black clouds pressed down from the horizon.

Gale winds howled, and ghosts wailed.

The Grand Elder descended over the mine square, treading on a mass of black mist, followed by dozens of Disciples flying on swords.

“What Prodigy! How dare you seize the foundation of my Black Fiend Sect!”

The Grand Elder spotted Gu Yang sitting on the Spirit Stone pile and immediately trembled with heartache—those were Spirit Stones! He was just munching on them like that?!

“Die for me!”

Without another word, the Grand Elder directly sacrificed his strongest Magic Treasure—the Ten Thousand Soul Banner.

Whoosh—

The banner unfurled, and countless black vengeful souls and fierce ghosts poured out, turning into a black tide of ghosts that covered the sky and pounced toward Gu Yang.

These evil ghosts specialized in devouring the blood, essence, and Divine Soul of living people; even a Foundation Establishment Cultivator would find them a major headache.

“Ghosts again?”

Looking at the sky full of evil ghosts, Gu Yang wasn't afraid; instead, he curled his lip in boredom.

“Doesn't your cultivation world have anything new? I got tired of playing with these in the Mortal Realm.”

He stood up from the Spirit Stone pile, his chest swelling high.

The blood vitality in his body was like a volcano about to erupt, and an extremely firm and Yang Aura instantly exploded.

Wind and Thunder Lungs—Lion's Roar (Advanced Version)!

“SCRAM!!!”

Rumble—

This roar was no longer a simple sound wave, but contained the vast, sea-like masculine blood vitality of a Foundation Establishment Body Cultivator!

The sound waves transformed into substantial golden ripples, sweeping toward the sky.

It was like the hot sun melting snow.

Under the impact of this ultimate Yang sound wave, the sky full of dense black evil ghosts didn't even have time to scream before they were instantly incinerated like scraps of paper, vanishing into thin air!

The Ten Thousand Soul Banner let out a mournful cry, and its surface directly exploded.

“Pfft—”

His Lifebound Treasure damaged, the Grand Elder sprayed a mouthful of blood and fell from the sky, his eyes full of horror.

“One roar breaks ten thousand Spells?! You're a Body Cultivator?! And a high-level Body Cultivator at the Foundation Establishment Stage?!”

This kind of monster, who could disperse Spells purely by relying on physical blood vitality, was a rare species in the cultivation world!

“Correct, but unfortunately there's no prize.”

Gu Yang kicked off the ground.

Boom!

A large crater exploded in the ground.

His entire person was like a missile shot into the air, instantly appearing in front of the Grand Elder.

Pushing through the several protective shields the Grand Elder had frantically released (as easily as popping bubbles), Gu Yang's iron-clamp-like hand grabbed the Grand Elder by the neck.

“Don't... don't kill me! I am the Black Fiend Sect's Grand Elder...”

“I don't care who you are.”

Gu Yang held the Grand Elder like a small chick and slowly landed on the ground.

He leaned in close to the Grand Elder's old face, showing an extremely greedy smile:

“Old man, let me ask you something.”

“How much Spirit Stone stock does your Sect... still have?”

“Tell the truth, and I'll spare your life. Dare to say one false word, and I'll stuff you into that Gold-Eating Insect Hole over there.”

Looking at Gu Yang's eyes glowing with green light, the Grand Elder's psychological defense completely collapsed.

“In... they're all in the Sect Treasury! Only the Sect Master knows the exact amount!”

“Good! Very good!”

“Lead the way! I’m going to restock!”
