89: Crossing the boundary sea! Giving the dragon an extra meal!

"Rumble —"

The bronze chariot rumbled across the Void Realm, emitting thunderous roars as it sped eastward.

Between the Great Wilderness and the Central Divine Continent lay a vast, boundless "Boundary Sea."

This sea area was a hundred times wider than the Chaotic Star Sea, containing not only terrifying spatial storms but also countless unseen deep-sea behemoths; even Soul Transformation Stage experts dared not easily cross it with their Physical Body alone.

Gu Yang sat cross-legged on the spacious back seat of the chariot, holding a piece of freshly roasted desolate beast jerky, chewing while watching the surging waves below.

"This sea looks... quite deep."

Gu Yang remarked.

Jin Lie, sitting in front and steering the chariot, said without turning his head: "The Boundary Sea is unfathomable and filled with immense danger. If not for this 'Sea-Calming Chariot' and the two Dragons possessing the 'Water-Avoiding Golden Eyes' Bloodline pulling it, we would find it difficult to proceed."

There was a hint of pride in his tone, clearly quite proud of his family's assets.

"Oh? These two loaches have this function?"

Gu Yang cast his gaze toward the two azure Dragons pulling the chariot.

These two Dragons were thirty zhang long, their scales chilling, and their auras were around the Nascent Soul Perfection; in the Chaotic Star Sea, they would be overlords of a region, but here, they were merely coolies pulling a chariot.

Feeling Gu Yang's gaze, which was like that of someone "inspecting ingredients," the two Dragons trembled, tucked their tails tighter, and the speed of the chariot involuntarily increased by a few notches.

"Fellow Daoist Gu, there are many rules in the Central Divine Continent; you must not be as casual as you were in the Great Wilderness."

Jin Lie kindly reminded him, "Especially in the War God Hall, where strong experts are as numerous as clouds; even if your Physical Body is formidable, you must..."

Before he could finish.

Splash!!!

The sea surface below suddenly exploded, and a massive tentacle, hundreds of zhang thick, shot into the sky like a pillar supporting the heavens, carrying a nauseating fishy stench and a terrifying suction force, fiercely lashing toward the chariot in the air!

【Warning! Soul Transformation Mid-Stage sea beast detected — Thousand-Armed Demon Octopus!】

"You beast! You seek death!"

Jin Lie's expression changed, and he swung the long halberd in his hand, a sharp golden light blade slashing toward the tentacle.

But the surface of the tentacle was covered in thick mucus, and the light blade slid right off, not even breaking the skin.

"Roar —"

The two Dragons pulling the chariot hissed in fear, the chariot jolted violently, and nearly flipped over.

More tentacles emerged from beneath the sea, instantly forming a giant cage, trapping the chariot tightly.

"Trouble! This is a deep-sea overlord-level Demon Octopus!"

Cold sweat seeped from Jin Lie's forehead, "Fellow Daoist Gu, let us join forces to break its defense!"

He was just preparing to burn his essence blood to fight for his life, but he suddenly realized Gu Yang beside him was gone.

"Hm? Where is he?"

Jin Lie was stunned, then heard an excited roar from below.

"What a huge squid tentacle! How long will this take to eat!"

Gu Yang had already jumped out of the chariot at some point; he didn't use any Divine Ability, but instead relied on the weight of his pure Physical Body and the acceleration of the Extreme Dao Force Field, falling straight down like a meteorite.

Facing the massive tentacle lashing toward him, not only did he not dodge, but he opened his arms and hugged one of the suckers.

"Get up here... for me!"

Glazed golden light erupted from Gu Yang's body as he pushed his Indestructible War Body to the limit.

He performed a heavy drop in mid-air, then exerted force violently, his feet stepping on the air and creating a sonic boom.

Boom!

A tooth-aching sound of tearing muscle rang out.

The behemoth hiding in the deep sea was actually dragged out of the sea by Gu Yang by a significant length!

"Squeak —!!!"

The Demon Octopus felt pain and let out a shrill scream, countless tentacles lashing frantically at Gu Yang.

Gu Yang activated his Que Xie Golden Body, allowing the tentacles to slam into him with dull "thudding" sounds; he refused to let go, even opening his mouth to bite a piece of meat off the tentacle.

"Pah! It's too fishy raw! It needs to be roasted!"

A fierce light flashed in Gu Yang's eyes. He turned one hand into a blade and slashed fiercely at the base of the tentacle.

"Law of Strength — Sever!"

An invisible ripple flashed by.

Pfft!

That tentacle, hundreds of zhang long and thicker than the chariot, was actually cut off by him with his bare hands!

A large amount of ink-blue blood sprayed across the sky.

Having suffered such a heavy wound, the Demon Octopus dared not stay; it immediately sprayed a large cloud of ink and dived into the deep sea to escape.

"It ran away quite fast."

Gu Yang looked at the sea surface with some regret, then hoisted the tentacle, which was hundreds of times larger than him, and flew back to the chariot.

"Thud!"

The chariot sank heavily.

Jin Lie looked at Gu Yang, dumbfounded, his throat dry: "You... you solved it just like that?"

That was a Soul Transformation Mid-Stage sea beast! It was extremely troublesome in the water, yet it was chopped up like a vegetable by this kid?

"It's solved."

Gu Yang nodded matter-of-factly, then took out his large black pot and various seasonings from his Storage Pouch.

"Come, come, Envoy, don't just stand there. Lend me your Divine Fire; let's have some Teppanyaki Squid!"

Half an hour later.

An enticing, charred aroma wafted over the bronze chariot.

Gu Yang held a giant squid tentacle skewer that was sizzling with oil, eating until his mouth was covered in grease.

"Mmm! The meat of a Soul Transformation Stage beast is just different; it's bouncy! Chewy! Full of energy!"

【Ingested Soul Transformation Stage sea beast flesh... Energy +3000... +3000...】

Gu Yang looked at the rising energy bar with satisfaction.

Jin Lie, beside him, was also handed a skewer; he looked at this piece of meat that was taller than himself, his expression dazed.

As an envoy of the War God Hall, what kind of scene hadn't he seen? But this scene of turning an attacking sea beast into a barbecue mid-journey... he really hadn't seen it before.

"Hiss... this taste, it's actually not bad?"

Jin Lie took a bite, his eyes brightening slightly. The power of blood and Qi contained within it actually caused his Bottleneck, which had been stagnant for many years, to loosen slightly.

"Roar..."

The two Dragons pulling the chariot in front smelled the aroma, their speed slowing down more and more, frequently looking back, their drool almost forming a waterfall.

They usually ate raw fish and rotten shrimp; when had they ever smelled such high-grade goods with cumin and chili powder?

"Want to eat?"

Gu Yang walked to the front of the chariot and shook the meat skewer in his hand.

The two Dragons nodded frantically, completely losing their dignity as members of the dragon race.

"Let you have a taste."

Gu Yang generously threw two large pieces over.

The Dragons swallowed them in one gulp, immediately letting out happy whimpers, their scales relaxing.

The look in their eyes toward Gu Yang instantly changed; it was no longer fear, but filled with fawning and flattery.

That look seemed to say: Big Brother! I'm following you from now on!

Gu Yang patted their dragon horns and said earnestly:

"Pull the chariot well. If you pull it steadily, there will be plenty of meat."

"Awoo!!!"

The two Dragons roared as if they had been injected with chicken blood, and pulling the chariot, they turned into a stream of light, their speed a whole time faster than before!

Jin Lie sat on the chariot, pressed tightly against his chair by the force of acceleration, watching the back of the person in front who was feeding the Dragons, and a thought suddenly arose in his heart:

This savage from the Great Wilderness... once he reaches the Central Divine Continent, he is afraid he will poke a hole in the sky.

A few days later.

On the horizon ahead, the outline of a vast, endless continent finally appeared.

A breath of the Laws of Heaven and Earth, more profound and majestic than that of the Great Wilderness, rushed toward them.

The Central Divine Continent had arrived!

Gu Yang stood up, feeling the dense Spiritual Qi in the air that made his pores relax, as well as the stronger gravitational suppression, and a smile hooked the corner of his mouth.

"So this is the Central Divine Continent?"

"I wonder if the restaurants here... can fill me up?"
