I told you that I would make up for what I owe you sooner or later...

Night deepened.

Li Xunle and Zhao Hao got out of the car and slowly walked down the street.

They were heading towards Mother Zhao's street stall.

Faintly,

they saw that this area had many more Adventurers; there were Adventurers every so often.

They were fully armed, gathered together, whispering to each other, not knowing what they were saying.

They even occasionally saw members of the Law Enforcement Team.

Li Xunle and Zhao Hao felt very strange.

Zhao Hao asked, puzzled:

"Big Brother, why are there so many Adventurers lingering? And members of the Law Enforcement Team?"

"You ask me, how would I know?"

"Could something big be about to happen?"

Zhao Hao shook his head:

"But even if something is happening, it has nothing to do with a small fry like me."

"Ri Tian, you've improved, you have self-awareness." Li Xunle smiled faintly.

"That's right!" Zhao Hao said seriously, his tone very earnest:

"Big Brother, I also feel that I won't be able to rely on you for much longer."

Li Xunle was casually admiring the neon streetscape when he heard Zhao Hao say that, and he paused for two seconds.

He turned to look at Zhao Hao and asked curiously:

"What do you mean?"

"I feel that you'll enter the Supergod Academy soon, and I definitely won't be able to get in, so I've decided to start adding all my attribute points to [Labor] from now on; I'll have to rely on myself."

"Supergod Academy? Whether I get in or not is still up in the air!"

Li Xunle said dismissively.

Zhao Hao was a bit confused:

"But the Supergod Academy is the academy everyone dreams of; only after graduating from there can one get good treatment..."

"Treatment? I go to the wilderness to farm monsters for equipment, 80 million in 20 days. Can any 'treatment' be that high?"

"Certainly not, but..."

Zhao Hao stammered, unable to articulate a clear reason.

"Why think so much? Let's go eat fried chicken!"

Li Xunle waved his hand, placing it on Zhao Hao's shoulder.

"Okay!"

Zhao Hao cast aside his worries and started to joke around.

As Li Xunle walked, he casually said:

"However, Ri Tian, your idea is a good one."

"Big Brother, what idea?"

"You can consider adding attribute points to [Labor]; your speed is already sufficient for now. Ultimately, a person has to rely on himself."

"Yes, I was thinking, I can't always rely on you, can I?"

"Ri Tian, you're growing up fast!"

"What are you kidding about? After all, I've been hanging out with Big Brother for a while."

Zhao Hao's face was full of pride.

Li Xunle looked at Zhao Hao with satisfaction, a sense of relief in his eyes.

He slowly took out twenty four-star [Labor] attribute gems and handed them to Zhao Hao:

"I kept some attribute gems and didn't sell them; they're enough for you. They can add 400 points to [Labor], so use them sparingly."

Zhao Hao took the gems, his face full of shock.

Li Xunle, however, seemed nonchalant.

He and Zhao Hao had a brotherly relationship where they would tease each other but never truly get angry.

For the past three years,

Li Xunle had survived not only by relying on the snacks tucked into the confession letters he received,

but largely by mooching off Zhao Hao's meals, despite hearing that Zhao Hao's family background was very ordinary, he still shamelessly scrounged for food.

Fortunately, the other party didn't mind.

Therefore, Zhao Hao's position in his heart was not ordinary.

So,

when the Hell Difficulty Dungeon dropped equipment that sold for money, Li Xunle didn't hesitate at all and chose to split it fifty-fifty with Zhao Hao.

Soon,

Zhao Hao saw his mother's stall, and he enthusiastically rushed over to help.

Li Xunle took a careful look.

She was a woman in her forties, her hands and face weathered by time, her clothes old. In front of her was a mobile barbecue cart, with various barbecue ingredients and chicken, duck, and fish.

Zhao Hao excitedly said:

"Mom, two roasted chickens, pick the biggest ones. This is my best brother, Li Xunle, we're here to eat roasted chicken."

Mother Zhao saw Zhao Hao and happily nodded:

"My son is back, your equipment looks unusual..."

She noticed that Zhao Hao's equipment was very unusual, very luxurious, and certainly valuable.

"This equipment was given to me by my brother, it's worth at least hundreds of thousands!"

Zhao Hao burst into laughter.

"Ah? Hundreds of thousands? How can you be so generous?"

Mother Zhao was very surprised and a little embarrassed to hear this.

"Mom, my Big Brother is very capable, incredibly powerful, this equipment is a small matter to him!"

Li Xunle stepped forward, putting away his unruly demeanor, and respectfully said:

"Hello, Auntie, my name is Li Xunle."

"Hello, hello, young man, you're so handsome!"

Mother Zhao couldn't help but praise him, then she spoke again:

"You two, quickly sit down! I'll roast two big chickens for you."

"Okay, thank you!"

Li Xunle uncharacteristically put away his playful grin.

He hadn't realized that Zhao Hao, whose meals he had been mooching for so long, truly seemed to come from a financially modest family, earning all his money through hard work.

And Zhao Hao had always covertly supported him, never truly complaining.

A wave of guilt suddenly washed over him.

At this moment,

Mother Zhao said to Zhao Hao:

"Son, don't interfere, I can do it. You go keep your friend company and get two bottles of cola."

"Okay, Mom."

Zhao Hao immediately took two bottles of cola and walked over to Li Xunle:

"Big Brother, don't just stand there, sit down!"

Li Xunle had just sat down when he noticed a weathered middle-aged man next to him, staring at him curiously, a smile on his face.

The other party also had a stall, with a sewing machine set up.

This made Li Xunle very surprised.

Zhao Hao noticed Li Xunle's unusual behavior, followed Li Xunle's gaze, and then suddenly spoke:

"Big Brother, I almost forgot to introduce you, that's my Dad, he does some tailoring work."

Li Xunle raised an eyebrow, immediately understanding:

"Hello, Uncle!"

"Hello!" Father Zhao replied with a smile.

Zhao Hao greeted his father:

"Dad, I brought my good brother to eat a roasted chicken."

"Good! Good! No problem! Wife, get them two big ones!"

Mother Zhao replied while busy: "You don't need to tell me, I'm already roasting them."

After greeting them,

Li Xunle and Zhao Hao sat on the low stools, chatting idly.

Zhao Hao suddenly remembered the Adventurers and asked his mother:

"Mom, why are there so many Adventurers over there?"

"I'm not very sure, they've been here for several days now."

"Oh."

Li Xunle looked at Mother Zhao's barbecue stall, then at Father Zhao's sewing machine, and finally turned his gaze to Zhao Hao:

"You said last time you were planning to buy a house, how much money do you need?"

"I haven't asked yet, but I estimate at least two million, but I've already earned the down payment, all thanks to you, Big Brother, hahaha!"

Zhao Hao was very happy.

"Two million?"

Li Xunle muttered softly:

"How many rooms and living areas for two million?"

"Probably two bedrooms and two living areas!"

"How much for three bedrooms?"

"I estimate at least over 3 million, it's too expensive, not considering it."

Li Xunle was very surprised:

"Then what will you do when you get married and have children?"

"We'll see then, living is tiring enough, let alone getting married..."

Zhao Hao shook his head, not considering that far ahead at all.

Li Xunle quickly pulled out his phone, performed some operations, then put it down and looked at Zhao Hao mysteriously:

"Ri Tian, check your WeChat!"

Zhao Hao immediately pulled out his phone to check, and instantly his pupils widened, his breathing becoming rapid.

"Big Brother! This! This! This..."

He actually saw Li Xunle transfer... 5 million to him!

He was instantly dumbfounded, completely at a loss.

Li Xunle took his phone, calmly clicked to accept the transfer... Then.

He returned Zhao Hao's phone to him and said faintly:

"I told you I owed you, and I would make it up to you sooner or later... Now, although it's not morning, it's exactly evening!"
