62: Chapter 62 You hit my teammate? Then I'll hit your teammate!

The Thunderwing Griffin was surrounded by a layer of electric arcs.

The moment the arcs exploded, its body elementalized, transforming into a pure plasma energy form as dazzling golden lightning instantly replaced the azure light.

Rumble—!

Golden lightning exploded across the sky, the thunderstorm brutally crushing everything in the air like a sentient heaven's wrath tearing through invisible airwaves.

Wen Guyu's expression became even more serious.

The Elemental Spirit gave up its control over the sky, clasping its hands to draw the invisible surrounding winds, which condensed into a storm greatsword of near-solid substance in its hands, before slashing toward the Thunderwing Griffin.

The Thunderwing Griffin, transformed into golden lightning, did not back down. Accompanied by rolling thunder, it dove down, smashing the sky-filling thunderstorm onto the Elemental Spirit's head.

The storm greatsword was destroyed by the thunderstorm.

The golden thunderstorm instantly grew more ferocious, its overwhelming power nearly tearing the earth apart and flooding the entire battle stage.

The Elemental Spirit raised its arms.

Earth elements surged following its movements, instantly constructing a fortress of piled rock to withstand the thunderstorm's heavy assault.

Crash! Crash! Crash!

Jittering electric arcs squeezed through the gaps, the sound of their explosions like a waterfall's impact, constantly washing over the Elemental Spirit.

Even the Elemental Spirit's elemental body was close to dissipating.

At that moment, Yue Yun had a sudden inspiration.

He made an unexpected move; instead of dodging the thunderstorm, he even tried to snatch that bamboo branch sword.

The Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman naturally wouldn't give up its weapon.

The sword light of the bamboo branch sword exploded within Yue Yun's palm.

But Yue Yun gritted his teeth and endured the pain, refusing to let go, giving his all to snatch that bamboo branch sword from the opponent's hand.

The Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman was also incredibly puzzled.

What kind of Beast Tamer tries to steal a Pet Beast's things?

Whose Beast Tamer is this? Can you have some shame when you're out in public? Someone quickly send a Pet Beast to take him away!

Crash! Crash! Crash!

The violent momentum of the thunderstorm was close at hand.

The Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman finally sensed something was wrong.

It tried to break free from Yue Yun to retreat to safety, but Yue Yun showed a fearless, savage grin and grabbed it while it was in a panic.

"Taste our blood-boiling combo skill!"

Aiming at the descending golden thunderstorm, Yue Yun held the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman high, letting the lightning arcs strike it frantically.

"Not good!"

Shen Dao realized what was happening and cried out in horror.

Lightning arcs exploded wildly on Yue Yun and the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman, but aside from feeling numb, Yue Yun only saw his health bar jumping wildly.

The Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman, however, was in a miserable state.

The Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman, which was originally like green jade, was covered in wounds from the lightning's devastation, and the bamboo leaves on its head had turned black and charred.

Even the bamboo branch sword had lost its edge.

Shen Dao's face grew increasingly pale.

Ouyang Chao and Long Han's expressions were also very ugly.

Of the four Pet Beasts, only the Elemental Spirit was in decent condition; the other three had been more or less devastated, their strength greatly reduced.

The prepared opponents were completely different.

The Ice Crystal Sparrow had already produced a solid, thick iceberg to protect itself and the Heart-Confusing Fox inside; they were almost unaffected by the thunderstorm and were in perfect condition.

That humanoid monster Yue Yun was even more ridiculous.

Holding up the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman like a rack, he ignored the lightning's damage to himself, looking like he was just short of taking a swim in the thunderstorm.

"Hold on."

Wen Guyu encouraged them: "This talent must consume a lot of contract power. Xu Qingfang won't be able to last much longer!"

Indeed, the consumption of the Thunderous Body was very high.

After a short while, the thunderstorm stopped.

Shen Dao breathed a sigh of relief.

Unfortunately, he was happy too soon.

As the storm dissipated, golden lightning condensed in front of Yue Yun. The Thunderwing Griffin, returning to its true form, exchanged a look with Yue Yun and extended its sharp eagle talons to snatch up the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman.

Bang!

The thunder wings flapped, kicking up strong wind waves, and it returned to the sky carrying the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman as a trophy.

"Holy crap?"

Shen Dao's expression was distorted, nearly breaking down: "You guys are targeting me! Give me a chance to show off, will you!"

However, the Thunderwing Griffin didn't respond to him at all.

"Don't worry, let me try!"

Long Han controlled the Spirit Crown Tree to release the skill Healing Halo.

A holy halo filled with life energy expanded outward, covering most of the battle stage and restoring the status of their allied Pet Beasts.

The Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman's body regained some of its emerald green color.

The Thunderwing Griffin was quite contemptuous of this.

Whenever the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman tried to struggle, the eagle's talons would flare with azure lightning, shocking it back into a paralyzed state near unconsciousness.

Shen Dao completely broke down, his mentality shattering.

Long Han shook his head helplessly, handing the task of rescuing the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman to the Elemental Spirit, while he and Ouyang Chao turned to pin down Yue Yun.

The Elemental Spirit also didn't intend to save the Floating Leaf Bamboo Swordsman.

"The Thunderwing Griffin is avoiding combat; it's hard to find an opportunity."

Wen Guyu explained to Shen Dao: "We'll solve Yue Yun and the other two Pet Beasts first. Once only the helpless Thunderwing Griffin is left, we'll have won."

With that, the Elemental Spirit launched an attack on the iceberg.

Control over the ice element was seized; sharp ice cones grew from the smooth inner walls, and the internal space gradually contracted.

The safe fortress became a cage for the two Pet Beasts.

The Ice Crystal Sparrow forcibly broke through the iceberg and escaped with the Heart-Confusing Fox, feeling wary of the Elemental Spirit.

The Elemental Spirit's offensive didn't stop; the gale transformed into sharp wind blades that tore through the air, slashing toward the opponents incessantly.

The Ice Crystal Sparrow was startled.

It tossed the Heart-Confusing Fox back onto the battle stage and tumbled through the air with agile movements, doing its best to tie down the Elemental Spirit.

The Heart-Confusing Fox tried to launch a Mental Shock at the Elemental Spirit.

However, the Elemental Spirit gave it no chance; with a flick of its wrist, the earth trembled, and Rock Spikes constantly arched up from the ground.

The Heart-Confusing Fox was also startled.

The Elemental Spirit was the Dominator of the elemental Domain; it only needed to elegantly release its instincts to easily suppress two Pet Beasts with B-grade potential.

On the other side, the situation was reversed.

The Thousand Poison Centipede, while receiving healing from the Spirit Crown Tree, circled Yue Yun to probe him, looking for an opening to attack.

It opened its mandibles and spat out dark green venom.

After Yue Yun dodged it, the venom hit the ground and instantly expanded to occupy the surface of the battle stage, leaving Yue Yun with no place to stand.

Yue Yun looked at the dark green venom with some hesitation.

He once again made an unexpected move.

He extended a finger and slowly dipped it into the venom, while simultaneously watching the status bar below his illusory health bar.

A brand new negative effect icon appeared!

[Poisoned: 00:09:59]

Yue Yun suddenly stood up, ignoring the suppression of the Thousand Poison Centipede's venom, rolled up his sleeves, and charged toward the Thousand Poison Centipede.

The Thousand Poison Centipede's five-meter length was terrifying and shocking, but in Yue Yun's eyes, it was not worth mentioning. He sat on its head and pummeled it with his fists, beating the Thousand Poison Centipede until it writhed like a loach.

This god-awful Beast Tamer!

Its poisonous spines scraped against Yue Yun's legs, but it only added a few more layers of the poison debuff, possessing no deterrent power whatsoever.

Instead, it was almost being beaten to death by Yue Yun.

"Holy crap, what is this thing?"

Ouyang Chao's expression instantly became savage.

Even Long Han was dumbfounded; he never dreamed someone would ignore the Thousand Poison Centipede's venom and charge forward to fight with their bare flesh and blood.

Yue Yun's actions were truly too shocking. The audience gasped repeatedly, and even the representatives from the top academies were puzzled.

In the audience, Lin Tianjun showed a smile.

"As expected, my Desert Magic Scorpion is still the most useful!"
