155: Unlike us, we only drag down giegie

As Teacher Wang exited the classroom, He Xing entered.

He briefly summarized the second segment, then proceeded to explain the rules for the third segment.

"We are now going to begin the third segment—the Youth Campus Gala. As I mentioned this morning, our guests are multi-talented. To recreate that youthful feeling of campus life, and to allow our guests to showcase their adaptability, we are only now releasing the specific tasks. I assure you, prior to this, the guests had no knowledge of our specific requirements."

"Our specific task requirements are: each team must present three performances, with a total cumulative duration of between 15 and 30 minutes. All four members can perform, or individuals can perform solo. However, each person must perform at least once."

"The performances cannot be ones that have been previously staged, but you can use music from our music library as accompaniment. For example, Teacher Xie is skilled in dance, but he cannot perform a specific dance, such as the dance from his 'Begin' MV. That is not allowed. However, he can use a song and choreograph a dance on the spot. ..."

He Xing continued speaking.

Even the audience in the live stream was already in an uproar.

"They're choreographing on the spot? Is that real or fake?"

"If it's real, the production team really found a group of good-tempered guests."

"Yes, the director cried and said there was truly no script, and that he specifically sought out guests who were easy to talk to and willing to endure hardships to participate in the show."

"Don't think it's too difficult. If you can dance, you can just dance to the rhythm."

"Team One is fine; they have four singers, and Xie Yunxuan and Liang Yan can also dance. Team Two, apart from Chen Fang, has three actors."

"Reciting poetry and three-and-a-half-line skits, then."

"Hahaha, that really would be a trip back to campus."

After He Xing finished explaining the task rules, he waved at the camera.

"OK! Our afternoon live stream ends here for now. Even the most exciting performance needs to allow everyone time for dinner. At 8 PM, let's look forward to a 'surprise task' style performance. Remember to set your alarms; at 8 o'clock sharp, we'll see you there, and let's get hyped!"

The eight guests also smiled and waved at the camera.

As soon as the cameras turned off, the expressions of both teams grew serious. After all, it was already 4:30 PM, leaving only three and a half hours to spontaneously create three performances, which was no small pressure.

The eight individuals went to the two adjacent classrooms to discuss separately.

In the west classroom, Team One's four members entered the room and sat around a round table.

Xie Yunxuan said with a relaxed tone, "We don't need to be nervous. Our two teams' scores in the first two segments have already reached 7:5, leading by two points. In the final segment, the two groups will divide nine points. Even if we fall behind by one point and get 4 points, we can still win."

Liang Yan grinned, "Indeed! We performed really well today. Teacher Yue, you're clearly on a variety show for the first time, yet you performed so well. It's truly admirable."

Xie Yunxuan's mouth twitched.

His already resentful heart couldn't help but roar like an evil dragon: It was clearly me who was excellent! I was clearly the pillar of both segments! Liang Yan, you sycophant!

Xie Yunxuan looked at Yue Qingzhu with a gentle smile, "Teacher Yue's performance truly surprised me too. Little Tang, you're also very impressive."

Little Tang smiled, took Yue Qingzhu's arm, and showed her dimples, "I'm so happy to be on a team with Teacher Yue."

Yue Qingzhu, at the center of the whirlwind of flattery, hugged her arms and smiled faintly, pursing her lips.

Forget it, there's a gala soon, so just treat this as a music variety show.

After silently repeating "music variety show" several times in her mind, she went straight to the point: "It's everyone's contribution. Let's discuss the tasks. All four of us are singers, so it should be easy. How about a musical? We can create a plot, and use spontaneously composed lyrics and simple melodies to advance the story. Teacher Tang and I will be responsible for the melodies, and you two gentlemen can design the dances."

Liang Yan's eyes lit up, and he straightened his back, his mouth slightly agape as if enlightened, "Teacher Yue, your mind is faster than 5G! I was just thinking it would be too difficult for us to compose songs on the spot, but as soon as you opened your mouth, you completely broadened the scope!"

Yue Qingzhu gripped her neutral pen, smiling without warmth, "Don't flatter me. Time is limited. Let's focus on the main task."

"Teacher Yue is right!" Liang Yan gave a thumbs-up.

...

In the opposite classroom, since Bai Wenbin had gone to the restroom, they hadn't started discussing yet.

The atmosphere was a bit somber.

Zhao Jin cupped her face and sighed.

Shen Wantang was alsolie on the desk, her fingertips tapping lightly. She tilted her head towards Zhao Jin, "We're two points behind. Are we two going to get fewer rewards again today?"

"It's fine, we won't starve."

Shen Wantang pouted.

There were chore cards in the supply pack.

She and Zhao Jin had been at the bottom for two consecutive days, which meant they would have to bear most of the cleaning duties.

But she couldn't blame anyone else; it was her own fault for not being more competitive.

Chen Fang took a sip of coffee and comforted them, "It's okay, there's still one round left, don't lose heart."

"But the other team is multi-talented. You know a bit more, but the three of us..." Zhao Jin shrugged, blinked, and joked in a fan's tone, "We'll only drag down giegie."

Shen Wantang glanced at Chen Fang. Zhao Jin's tone was joking, but her words were true. The three of them only knew how to act. If she had to dance, she could only imitate an elderly robot dancing.

Chen Fang had high resistance and felt nothing in his heart when faced with the cheesy "giegie" tone. "Teacher Zhao, why are you being modest? Aren't you quite good at hitting the retreat drum? You can even sing songs of regression."

Zhao Jin pouted, then suddenly froze, quickly looking up, "Why don't you go up and do a stand-up comedy routine?"

"Why don't you suggest I write a skit for you?"

As the words left his mouth, Bai Wenbin returned. He moved his stool and sat down. "I just thought about it; we could make a short film, right? Before, when I was training for acting at the company, I practiced some plots. I remember a segment called 'The Mystery of the Cafeteria Auntie's Shaky Hand.' It probably hasn't been performed before. I remember the plot, but this only requires two people."

Shen Wantang nodded, "That barely counts as one. Let's write another story that incorporates all four of us."

"Writing a story, memorizing lines, and rehearsing. These two performances will take a lot of time, won't they? And we still need one more. Oh, heavens." Zhao Jin rested her hands beside her head, spacing out for two seconds. She sniffled and looked at Chen Fang, "Oh, multi-talented hope of the whole village, can you do a dance or something?"

"Can I sing a song?"

Bai Wenbin's eyes lit up, "You mean you can handle one performance by yourself?"

"Mm, but it would be at most four minutes."

"Ah! That's great, but won't it be too difficult for you?" Shen Wantang estimated that he would probably have to temporarily rearrange a song, right? If he couldn't rearrange it well, he might get scolded.

If Chen Fang took on a performance alone but was criticized for not doing well, the three of them wouldn't be able to escape; they would definitely be attacked by his fans.

Chen Fang smiled calmly, "It's fine, don't worry."

Bai Wenbin nodded, "Then we're counting on you. In that stage play where all four of us collaborate, will your task be a bit lighter?"

"Okay."
