26: Improve root bones

Although Lu Qianyuan observed that this method could indeed improve one's Foundation, and the Materials were very low-grade, and the method was also very common.

However, something as difficult to improve as Foundation obviously couldn't be enhanced so easily.

Under Lu Qianyuan's careful observation, he discovered that the Blood Forging Art had a more subtle side effect.

That was, it would consume life force, commonly known as shortening one's lifespan.

Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense why consuming so few low-grade Materials could change a Spirit Master's Foundation.

He just didn't know if Ye Yan knew about this; his Foundation was above 50 points, so he probably hadn't used it himself.

But whether he knew or not, Lu Qianyuan would not suffer this loss in silence.

Once he finished his improvements, he would go find trouble with Ye Yan.

Lu Qianyuan wasn't too concerned about this side effect; a mere amount of life force was a trivial matter to him.

Youth is willful.

Anyway, Realm advancement also increases life force, so sacrificing a bit of life force for longer-term development was not unacceptable to Lu Qianyuan.

During this time, in addition to observing the Blood Forging Art, Lu Qianyuan also replicated three abilities.

Two white and one green.

The two white ones were Intermediate Agility Enhancement and Intermediate Strength Enhancement, while the green one was Frenzy, of green quality.

When replicating the green quality Frenzy, Lu Qianyuan discovered something.

Because he had previously replicated a white quality Frenzy, he only took seven days to complete the replication when copying the green quality Frenzy.

Three days less, which corresponded exactly to the three days consumed to replicate the white quality Frenzy.

After replicating the green quality Frenzy, the white quality Frenzy disappeared.

It seems that when replicating a high-quality ability, if there is a corresponding low-quality ability, the corresponding number of days will be reduced.

Afterward, Lu Qianyuan replicated another white ability, Tiger Roar.

He had been replicating this ability for two days, and it would only take one more day to complete the replication.

Having exhausted his Materials, Lu Qianyuan returned to District 49 and purchased another batch of Materials.

This time, he directly bought ten portions, spending over 1.5 million.

All these Materials, if formulated into potions, should be enough to raise Lu Qianyuan's Foundation Physique to 50 points.

Fifty points was the limit the Blood Forging Art could reach; beyond that, more Advanced methods would be needed.

Foundation and Spiritual Qi at 50 points also marked a watershed, then 80 points another, 95 points another, and finally 100 points was yet another level.

Lu Qianyuan prepared all the medicinal Materials and then left the city again.

Before long, he found a few second-order Strange Beast.

Lu Qianyuan, as always, disemboweled, dug out hearts, bled them, and boiled medicine.

Not long after, Lu Qianyuan brewed a pot of crimson medicinal liquid.

He waited a moment, then drank it all in one gulp.

The scalding medicinal liquid flowed through his body, and in just a moment, he felt his blood boiling within him.

Lu Qianyuan immediately sat cross-legged, circulated the Blood Forging Art, and absorbed the medicinal liquid.

As the medicinal liquid was absorbed by him, Lu Qianyuan's blood grew increasingly scalding, and under this power, his Foundation slowly improved.

Only after experiencing it firsthand did Lu Qianyuan realize the power of this method.

Such ordinary Materials, combined with such an ordinary Cultivate method, could actually improve one's Foundation; although it consumed lifespan, the power of the Blood Forging Art could not be denied.

Most Spirit Masters actually don't live to old age, so a slight reduction in lifespan was not unacceptable to them.

Lu Qianyuan operated at full power, and his Foundation slowly improved.

Half an hour passed in a flash, and Lu Qianyuan stopped his Cultivate, stabilizing his own power.

The Blood Forging Art could only be used once every three days; more use would be ineffective and cause damage to the body.

He certainly couldn't be idle during these three days; he had to accumulate resources to ensure he could quickly increase his strength when he achieved a Breakthrough to the second order.

After a moment of thought, he thought of the Dark Spider Nest again.

The Black Claw Spiders there had low defense and low health, and there were many of them, making them incredibly easy to kill; it was simply too suitable for him.

Lu Qianyuan set off and arrived outside the Dark Spider Nest, then went deep inside and began to farm Black Claw Spiders.

For the next period, Lu Qianyuan basically spent all his time in the Dark Spider Nest farming Black Claw Spiders, just farming Black Claw Spiders every day.

He could farm over seventy Black Claw Spider War Spirits a day; although most were second-order, there was no denying the sheer number.

Even if one was 60,000, over seventy would be more than 4 million.

And Lu Qianyuan farmed continuously for almost half a month, just farming Black Claw Spiders every day; in between, he even returned a few times specifically to clear out the Black Claw Spider War Spirits.

Sometimes, having too much money was also a bother.

Inside the Dark Spider Nest, Lu Qianyuan killed a Black Claw Spider, then stepped forward, crushed its body, extracted its Battle Spirit, and put it into his backpack.

The entire process was smooth and extremely skilled.

He had repeated this whole process over a thousand times; it was almost muscle memory.

Feeling his full backpack, Lu Qianyuan sighed helplessly, he had to clear out these War Spirits again.

Because he sold too many Black Claw Spider War Spirits, he had to go to stores in other areas of District 49 to sell them, to avoid attracting others' covetousness.

Lu Qianyuan returned to District 49 with a backpack full of War Spirits.

Last time he went to Survival Zone 31 to clear them out; this time, he would go to Survival Zone 29.

Lu Qianyuan arrived in District 29, then found a relatively large store and stated that he had a large number of War Spirits for sale.

The boss heard the news and came over; after some discussion, the two quickly agreed on a price.

Second-order Black Claw Spider War Spirits for 60,000 each, and third-order Black Claw Spider War Spirits for 160,000 each.

Lu Qianyuan sold thirty second-order Black Claw Spider War Spirits and one third-order Black Claw Spider War Spirit before leaving to sell in another location.

After visiting five places, Lu Qianyuan finally sold all the Black Claw Spider War Spirits he had.

A total of over 150 second-order ones and four third-order ones, bringing in 9.9 million, almost 10 million.

Half a month passed, and in addition to replicating Tiger Roar, Lu Qianyuan also replicated two other abilities, both green.

Advanced Physique Enhancement and Advanced Agility Enhancement.

Although he could only utilize one or two tenths of the effect of these two abilities, once he reached the second order, these two abilities would rapidly elevate his physical strength to a whole new level, further increasing his strength.

The timing was just right; Lu Qianyuan had just finished replicating Advanced Agility Enhancement today, but he didn't have any good skills to replicate now, so he decided to take this opportunity to buy a Battle Spirit to replicate a skill.

Currently, Lu Qianyuan had no major weaknesses, only a lack in recovery, so he planned to purchase several Battle Spirits with recovery abilities to replicate skills.
