Chapter 19: The true masters are yet to come! (Please read and follow)

“If there really is such a person, then we need to study him carefully.”

Zheng Lixing’s eyes were filled with seriousness.

He didn’t believe that Zhang Yuli would hypothesize about someone being able to obtain technology from Eagle Country for no reason.

In other words, there must be such a person, and he must be able to acquire these technologies.

However, no matter how hard Zheng Lixing racked his brain, he couldn't think of anyone who possessed such capabilities.

This was about getting specific technology from Eagle Country, which was simply a divine feat.

“What did the higher-ups say?” Zheng Lixing asked the crucial question: What exactly did the higher-ups mean?

“The higher-ups told us to make our own decisions.”

Hearing this, Zheng Lixing frowned, “No wonder you’re having such a headache; this isn’t an easy choice.”

The higher-ups had no specific targets, leaving it entirely up to the Xia Academy of Sciences.

This might not sound difficult, but if any mistakes were made, Zhang Yuli would be solely responsible.

Issues such as the technology being of little use, too difficult to implement, or simply unobtainable, all lay before him, and he would find it a headache himself.

“So, I wanted to hear your opinion,” Zhang Yuli said with a helpless expression, pouring a cup of tea for both of them.

Wanting too much in terms of technology, and having even more concerns in terms of implementation, this task was simply tormenting.

Zheng Lixing stared at him with deep eyes, “If it were me, I think choosing fighter jet technology would be best.”

“Fighter jets?”

After taking a sip of tea, Zheng Lixing continued, “Even if we can’t get the technology for fifth-generation fighters like the F22 and F35, the F-15 Eagle fighter or the F/A-18 Hornet fighter are both good choices.”

There was no need to say much about the F22 and F35, these two fifth-generation fighters. The improved F-15EX version of the F-15 Eagle fighter also had good overall performance in aerial combat. As a mature fourth-generation aircraft developed over decades, it provided exactly the experience Da Xia currently lacked.

The reason for choosing the F/A-18 was that it was currently Eagle Country’s main carrier-based aircraft.

Da Xia would definitely need to own and build its own aircraft carriers in the future, and this carrier-based aircraft could also play a significant role in the development of the J-15.

Most importantly, the avionics systems of the subsequent improved versions of these two fighter jets had been significantly upgraded, which would also greatly assist Da Xia’s avionics system development.

However, upon hearing this idea, Zhang Yuli immediately denied it, “Fighter jets won’t work.”

“Why?” Zheng Lixing was surprised.

Given Da Xia’s current military situation, an excellent fighter jet was the simplest and most effective improvement, whereas other weapon equipment required different levels of support to achieve their best power.

Zhang Yuli looked at his puzzled expression, “Why do you think the J-20 project at the 611 Institute has been receiving so many good reports recently?”

“Ah??” Zheng Lixing only then reacted, “Could it be that fighter jet technology was obtained before? Not F22 technology, right?”

“Yes,” Zhang Yuli nodded.

“Hiss… So that’s what happened.”

Zheng Lixing suddenly understood. No wonder he had recently heard that the J-20’s development progress was rapid, with two or three key technologies achieving major breakthroughs in just a few days. It turned out that they already possessed F22 technology.

Naturally, it was impossible to continue choosing fighter jet technology, and there was no need for it. He deeply understood the principle of not biting off more than one can chew.

After much deliberation, Zheng Lixing offered a suggestion, “Since the higher-ups have no specific requirements, our Xia Academy of Sciences shouldn’t specify the technology either. Whatever this person provides, we’ll take it.”

He adhered to the principle of knowing when to stop; if technology could be provided, there was no need to specifically demand what kind of technology it was.

Zhang Yuli let out a long breath, “I thought the same thing. Let’s decide on that.”

He finally understood that as long as they could get their hands on it, the specific technology didn’t matter; the key was to ensure the Mysterious Person’s safety.

After all, every piece of technology required a huge price, potentially putting this person in great danger. His safety must be the primary consideration.

If they specified a technology that could put him in peril, Da Xia would rather give up the technology than lose this person.

Where there’s life, there’s hope.

Both the highest authority and he had a clear understanding of this point.

Outside the cafeteria of Eagle Country’s LLNL National Laboratory.

After eating his fill, Lu Ze stretched, a slight smile on his face, “Lucy, this meal is on me.”

He looked at Lucy beside him, recalling what had just happened, and his pupils trembled slightly.

He thought to himself, ‘How did she eat so much?’

Good heavens, he was over 1.8 meters tall and usually ate a decent amount.

Who would have thought that Lucy, this seemingly delicate girl, ate more than half as much as he did?

Did her stomach have an extra-dimensional space? Where did all the food go? And how could she still be so thin? This was unscientific.

Suddenly, Lu Ze noticed Lucy’s two heavy weapons above her slender waist, so white they were dazzling.

‘So that’s it.’

It seemed there was a reason for eating so much. It turned out that slender branches really could bear fruit. This must be at least 120KM/h, a massive dimension one could only feel by sticking one’s hand out the car window.

“?????” Lucy’s head was filled with question marks.

The cafeteria was free, what the hell are you paying for?

“Then I’ll treat you next time. You can pick anything you want in the cafeteria.” She always advocated for reciprocity.

Just as the two were about to go their separate ways.

Lucy pulled out a hair tie and tied her long hair into a ponytail. She planned to run back directly later for some post-meal digestion.

She casually asked, “Lu Ze, what kind of high-tech weapon do you want to see?”

Even with the simple act of tying her hair, Lucy displayed her extraordinary curves, breathtakingly beautiful.

Lu Ze, however, was somewhat immune. He frowned and said, “Uh, about that…”

“Shouldn’t I be asking, which ones can I visit? Without causing you any trouble…”

It wasn’t as if he could freely access any high-tech weapon equipment; he had to choose carefully.

Not only did it have to be something he could visit, but it also couldn’t pose any danger to Lucy herself.

Lucy tilted her head, thought for a moment, and then answered without hesitation, “The Department of Defense will be bringing a batch of weapon equipment to the lab for initial upgrades and maintenance in the next couple of days. I can take you to see them then.”

“I heard there’s even a B-2 Bomber. I think you’d be interested.”

As if struck by a huge pie, Lu Ze was overjoyed:

“There’s a B-2 Bomber? Then I’m very interested!”
