134: My father beast died.
"Follow me." The Little Deer Cub said adorably.
The Little Deer led her around the mountain, bypassing the spot where the Earth Spring had been discovered. He continued to lead her outward, going around two rocks and taking several turns.
Then, he stuck his little butt out and dug a hole.
Nan Zhisui: "..." It was inexplicably cute.
"Where is this?" she asked.
"A path to the valley. No one knows about this path."
"How do you know about this path?" Nan Zhisui asked.
The Little Deer Cub said: "Walk this way."
Many little question marks appeared in her mind.
After winding through several turns and crawling through holes several times, suddenly, the view opened up before her!
She saw that on the land which should have been barren, lush plants were growing!
On the soft soil, waves of flowers rustled and swayed. Bright, colorful blossoms vied for beauty and whispered to each other, while lush, green grass strove to grow tall.
Looking closely, she could even see a few lively Long-Eared Beasts hopping about in the grass.
Upon discovering that someone had entered the valley, the Long-Eared Beasts quickly hopped away.
Nan Zhisui walked into this secluded valley in surprise.
The valley was not large, surrounded by high stone walls on all sides. Even if Bird Beastmen flew over, they wouldn't be able to find this place unless they looked carefully.
However, in a place like this Wasteland, how could so many flowers and plants grow?
Nan Zhisui asked in amazement: "How did these flowers and plants grow?"
The Little Deer Cub puffed out his chest and said: "I planted them all."
Nan Zhisui: "...You planted them?"
"Mm." The Little Deer Cub nodded.
Nan Zhisui suddenly understood what the Little Deer Cub meant by "I am very good at planting."
This was definitely not ordinary planting!
"You are truly amazing."
The Little Deer's eyes lit up.
He plucked a handful of grass and handed it to Nan Zhisui, "Look, I am really very useful. Pretty Older Sister, will you keep me?"
He was already being this proactive; if she didn't keep him...
Then he would just like her later. Hmph.
Nan Zhisui took the grass from him, her eyes curving into smiles as she looked at him, then at the expanse of grass.
"How did you plant them? Where is the water?"
The Little Cub trotted to a corner, lifted the weeds covering it, and shared: "Here, there is an Earth Spring."
Nan Zhisui: "..." In such a barren Eastern Mining Area, this kid could actually find two Earth Springs?
What kind of luck does he have? So fortunate?
"Pretty Older Sister, you are the first person I've brought here." The Little Deer Cub's ears twitched with excitement.
"I use the Earth Spring to plant the grass. At first, the soil was too dry and lacked nutrients, so even the grass didn't grow well. So I buried all the dead grass into the ground."
"But it still wasn't enough; the soil lacked nutrients. Later, I discovered that after the beastmen distributed meat, they would throw away a lot of intestines and organs. I secretly picked them up and buried them here in the ground along with the dry grass."
"After more than ten days, the grass here told me that they ate very happily."
Nan Zhisui: "..." Are you telling me a horror story?
"The rotting meat and dry grass provided nutrients to this land, and slowly, the yellow sandy soil turned into fluffy black soil. Just like this."
"Then I mixed the black soil with the yellow soil and watered it with water from the Earth Spring. These plants grew better and better."
"Later on, I took the animal bones they didn't want, crushed them, and buried them in the soil. There were also the carcasses of various little insects, little lizard carcasses, and all sorts of wild fruits from the Wasteland, cacti, etc., which I also crushed and buried in the soil. The land here is very nutritious. No matter what kind of grass I plant, they eat very happily."
Nan Zhisui: "..." ORZ, I kneel.
"Don't you believe me?" the Little Deer Cub asked, frowning.
Nan Zhisui's mouth twitched slightly. Is this a matter of belief? Your description is scarier than a man-eating flower.
The Little Deer Cub sat on a rock, his big, beautiful green eyes looking right at her.
"Do you eat grass? Do you need me to plant grass for you? I can plant lots and lots and lots of grass for you!"
Nan Zhisui coughed twice and asked him curiously: "What is your name?"
The Little Deer Cub replied: "Names are given by Father Beast and Female Mother. I have no Father Beast or Female Mother, so I don't have a name. The beastmen in the Mining Area all call me 'that Little Deer'."
"You have no Father Beast or Female Mother? Not even a name?" Nan Zhisui asked in surprise, "You couldn't have been without a Father Beast or Female Mother since birth, right?"
"My Father Beast died. He was buried underground in the Mining Area. My Female Mother is still alive."
Nan Zhisui: "..." The Little Deer Cub's Father Beast has already died?
"I'm sorry."
"Oh, I'm fine." The Little Deer Cub looked at her with bright eyes. "I'm actually not sad."
Nan Zhisui said: "Let me give you a name."
His beautiful eyes gazed at her, "Are you sure? In this world, when a Female gives a name to a cub without a Family, it means she is accepting him as her own Little Cub. Do you really want to give me a name?"
She didn't know if it was an illusion, but when this matter was mentioned, Nan Zhisui felt the Little Deer's eyes light up.
"Didn't you want to join my Family?" Nan Zhisui sighed.
"Yes, I do. Pretty Older Sister, look at me, do you think you like me?"
"Why, do I need to like you to adopt you?"
The Little Cub nodded seriously. "Yes, you have to like me, otherwise I won't go with you."
Nan Zhisui was charmed by his cuteness once again. "Like, I like you, okay?"
The Little Cub smiled with satisfaction. "Then you can give me a name."
She coughed twice, " 'The deer calls out "you you", eating the mugwort in the wild.' You shall be called Lu Ming."
Lu Ming's eyes lit up. "Good. I like this name; I shall be called Lu Ming."
Lu Ming added: "And you, what is your name?"
Nan Zhisui propped her head up, looked down at him with a smile, "Nan Zhisui."
The Little Deer Cub tilted his head, "Then what should I call you, Sui Sui?"
Nan Zhisui tapped his head, "What are you thinking? You have no manners. Just call me Pretty Older Sister."
"Alright." Lu Ming still wanted to try, "Sui Sui?"
Nan Zhisui tapped his head again.
This Little fellow looked like a little adult, even though his age was about the same as her own cubs, yet he still called her Sui Sui...
Simply outrageous!
Lu Ming smiled with his eyes curving into crescents.
Nan Zhisui looked at the fertile land reclaimed from the Wasteland before her and asked him: "If I let you plant other things, can you grow them?"
"What do you want to plant?"
Nan Zhisui took out a few bags of vegetable seeds from her space. There were corn, tomatoes, chili peppers, etc.
"Can you plant them?" Nan Zhisui asked.
Lu Ming looked at the plastic film packaging on these seeds and didn't quite understand it, but he still took them and sensed them with his hand.
"If I can Breakthrough this layer of Seal, then I can."
A Seal?
Nan Zhisui looked at this thin packaging bag.
Haha! This is truly a powerful Seal!
