116: Tian Shu Sect enters

"I have already understood the situation you described. I will report it to the Vice Hall Master later. As for how the Sect will investigate and handle it, go back and wait for further notice!"

On Taihe Mountain, inside a certain side hall of the Deacon Hall.

The Hall Master of the Deacon Hall's Mission Branch, Master Feiyue, who was at the Dao Foundation Peak, sat at the head. After listening to the statements of Yu Xuzi and Shen Feiyang, she nodded noncommittally.

This was a female Cultivator dressed in a scarlet long dress with a cold aura.

Even within the Taihe Sect, she was considered a famous Fairy.

Her fair-skinned and beautiful appearance was only one aspect.

Most of it was due to her talent and strength, her status as a True Disciple and Hall Master of the Mission Branch, and her Revered Master:

The Hall Master of the Taihe Sect Deacon Hall, the Peak Master of Taihuo Peak in charge of Artifact Refining for the inner Sect, and the Mystic Fetus Realm Perfection Great Immortal Master Kunhua!

A Dharma Aspect True Lord seed upon whom the Taihe Sect placed great hopes.

In terms of status and position, Shen Feiyang did not dare to act impudently in her presence.

Yu Xuzi led the dazed Shen Feiyang in a salute: "In that case, this Junior Brother shall take his leave."

Shen Feiyang had not yet recovered from the news of True Person Qinglian's fall.

"Mhm, Junior Brother Qiu, you may step down first."

Master Feihong nodded and said, "Junior Brother Shen, stay for a moment; I have something to say to you."

Compared to the fall of True Person Qinglian, the matter of the Spirit Stone vein seemed completely unimportant.

Yu Xuzi nodded in understanding and then exited the hall.

The following matters were likely related to the fall of True Person Qinglian; no wonder Hall Master Feihong wanted to dismiss him.

After all, in their eyes, he was just an ordinary Early Dao Foundation Stage Disciple, nothing special.

The status and social strata of the two were naturally different.

But that was fine; he could focus on his cultivation again!

...Two hours later.

Shen Feiyang, still looking somewhat despondent, walked out of the Deacon Branch Hall and headed toward a certain spiritual mountain where the Shen Family was located.

The Shen Family was considered a major clan within the Taihe Sect.

Besides True Person Qinglian, the sole Profound Fetus realm expert, there were nearly ten Dao Foundation Stage Cultivators.

True Person Qinglian's fall would certainly deal a great blow to the Shen Family's prestige, potentially causing their current status to plummet.

But they wouldn't suddenly collapse like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

It was just that they needed to discuss how to respond.

After Shen Feiyang left, Master Feihong walked heavy-faced into the central main hall of the Deacon Hall and bowed respectfully: "Reporting to Revered Master, Junior Brother Shen has left."

Inside the hall, the light was gloomy.

Immortal Master Kunhua sat upon the cloud bed at the head of the hall.

He was an old man with white hair and beard, his face thin and gaunt.

He should have been hale and hearty with a youthful complexion, but now he was as withered as an ancient pine tree that had lost its moisture.

He wore a loose, moon-white Daoist robe, which only served to emphasize his frail figure.

The aura around him seemed somewhat floating and dissipated, fluctuating in strength like a candle in the wind.

Every slightly heavy breath brought about a suppressed low cough, and his aged cheeks would flush with an abnormal redness.

He was injured!

And it was a very severe and troublesome Dao wound.

He had just returned from the Baitu Hills battlefield five days ago.

Seeing her Revered Master's condition with her own eyes cast a deeper shadow over Master Feihong's heart as she stood solemnly below.

"Cough, cough—"

Immortal Master Kunhua coughed heavily twice more, his figure becoming even more stooped, before saying hoarsely, "I know."

"In the future, if the Shen Family faces difficulties, help them if you can!"

"After all, I bear some responsibility for Junior Brother Qinglian's fall this time!"

Master Feihong nodded in response.

Then, taking a deep breath to suppress the tightness in her throat, her voice rang out in the silent hall: "Reporting to Revered Master, is the front line really—"

"That is not for you to concern yourself with!"

Immortal Master Kunhua closed his eyes and shook his head slightly.

"But Revered Master!!"

Master Feihong looked up at her flagging Revered Master on the cloud bed, her tone tinged with an irrepressible anxiety:

"The war has developed to this point, and it is already very unfavorable for our Taihe Sect. Disciples within the Sect are in a state of panic, and many uneasy messages have come from the subordinate small Sects and cultivation families."

"Internal troubles and external threats are intertwining!"

"If this continues, I fear—"

She didn't finish, but the meaning was clear.

She didn't understand why the Sect Master had yet to take action.

If the war continued to develop like this, the Taihe Sect would surely be defeated. She didn't believe her Revered Master and the other Junior Martial Uncles couldn't see it!

After a long while, a suppressed cough, more violent than before, came from above.

Immortal Master Kunhua covered his mouth with his hand, his shoulders slightly hunched. Once the coughing subsided, he slowly opened his eyes.

Looking at the worried Disciple below, he didn't get angry or sigh. Instead, the corner of his mouth twitched ever so slightly, revealing a faint, blurry smile.

"I am aware of your concerns."

He paused briefly, then said slowly and firmly, "The passing of Junior Brother Qinglian is a pain for our Taihe Sect; this debt must be repaid."

"However, the Sect's Legacy does not depend on a single person. While internal troubles and external threats are indeed troublesome, it may not necessarily be a desperate situation."

Master Feihong looked up, her face filled with confusion.

"Do you truly think the Sect Master has been in secluded meditation all these two years?"

"The Tianshu Sect... has responded."

Upon hearing this, Master Feihong's pupils suddenly constricted.

"Tianshu Sect?"

This was a colossus!

"Within its Sect, there are as many as three Dharma Aspect True Lords presiding. It has a Legacy spanning nearly twenty thousand years, with an extremely profound foundation!"

Before the rise of the Taihe Sect, the Tianshu Sect was the undisputed second-largest Sect in the Xuan Yin Continent, second only to the Xuan Yin Palace!

If the Taihe Sect could form an Alliance with the Tianshu Sect... Immortal Master Kunhua looked at her shocked expression and merely gave a strained smile, revealing no further details.

He didn't say what price was paid.

Nor did he say what kind of support the Tianshu Sect would provide!

But these few words were enough to find a glimmer of hope for victory for the Taihe Sect amidst this boundless gloom!
